Anybody post sales numbers lately? Found this a bit ago, ignore if old. http://www.********.com/article/251918/destiny-sales-top-54-million-units-in-2-weeks/

Quote; The PlayStation 4 version of Destiny has sold about half the total units with 2.66 million units. The Xbox One version has sold 1.61 million units, the Xbox 360 version 687,701 units, and the PlayStation 3 version 486,622 units.

Edit; Sorry, saw the address was censored. I take it this site is not reliable?

If that's ******** then that's banned here.

Edit: God damn it.

This daily mission makes me sad. Bungie really fucked up the Vex introduction by having Dinklebot run his mouth and give them away right at the beginning of the mission. Shouldn't have said anything about them and let us find out for ourselves. The ominous music and mysterious teleportation is great, but by then there's no surprise.

Guesstimates.

GAF NPD prediction guesses sales better than the site.

But it's a great chance to see the "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" cutscene >_>

The thing that ruined a lot of missions for me were the descriptions on the map. I'm not really sure why they decided to give each mission a synopsis before going in. Adding that in after completing it a first time makes sense, but before gets rid of any mystery.

So today will be the first day I don't get to play Destiny since I started. /hold me GAF.
Going to be watching the football game tonight as I'm a Vikings fan - /hold me for that as well, heh.

FYI in case anyone is wondering, the minimum amount of Ascendant Shards needed to hit Level 28 is 28 Shards. 16 Shards to maximize your exotic piece, and 12 Shards for 2 of the 3 Defense upgrades in a Legendary piece.

If you upgrade the same Legendary piece twice using Shards, you'll hit 99 Light due to the upgrades for a single piece going 2, 2, 1, 2, 2

If you upgrade just the first Defense upgrade, but for 2 different Legendary pieces, each will give +1 Light and you'll hit 98 Light which is the minimum to hit Level 28.

The only difference is that if you spend the Shards in a single Legendary piece you'll end up at 99 Light vs. 98 Light, while spending the same amount of Shards (16) compared to splitting the Shards in 2 different Legendary pieces, so it's recommended to just upgrade a single piece (e.g. boots) twice to yield more Light and less chance of you wasting those Shards if you swap out armor pieces often.

Ok, so when you unlock its full range of stability upgrades The last Word works as advertised. I should have had more faith.

Dax, if you like hand cannons at all I hope you have your eye on this one. The hip fire accuracy is insane.

i've currently got 13...i need to get more for this weekend...

i used 13 last week for a helmet so i'd love a weapon this time...

What's the best way/is it possible to get 10 more before Xur leaves? (have already done the weekly on 28) Any guaranteed way or just bascially praying to RNGesus?

Well, you could create an alt, which I did. I have an alt level 27 Titan that I use to get an extra 9 coins weekly but that would be too time consuming, I think that's more of a long term thing.

Best bet is to do Vanguard tiger strikes, you should stock up on plenty of blue engrams, the odd legendary which both have a chance of decrypting to strange coins. Sometimes you'll even get a strange coin as a reward. I got 18 alone just using this method and decrypting blue engrams. Also as you level up the cryptarch you'll also get more blue engrams so you'll have plenty of opportunities.

And finally I got a strange coin by doing a public event, I believe from the Fallen Walker one over at the Divide.

the Director in general holds the campaign back. It breaks the flow of the missions while giving away what they're about, removing the cohesion and mystery like you said. Is like watching a movie with commercials in between that spoil all the plot details.

That explains why it took so long...

haha no kidding.

I'm cool if you want to clear a path to the boss, but some people are like waiting for respawns and opening chests... like c'mon bro, these 25 strikes aren't going to finish themselves. Play patrol if you need spirit blooms.

Yeah, like, I get if you got a "don't die" mission to finish, or even just being afk, but actively farming a public zone and expecting your team to carry you through the strike is pure asshole-ishness. You should be able to vote people out of strikes for that shit.

Never seen that. Only annoyance is people quitting at the start.

It's awfully rare for someone else to join later too so you're stuck.

Did an epic 2 man of the Moon strike though.

I'd rather they do that, so at least I'm not carrying them through whilst they idle. I can manage pretty much any raid solo these days.

I cried D:

So this just happened.....

Apparently I won that match too. Lone wolf me.

I'm on my new Titan which I've managed to get up to level 14. I'm doing a fair bit of Crucible to hold me over till I drag through some story stuff. Why am I not getting crucible marks?

I've just had the worst game of PvP ever. Turned my console off, can't be arsed playing again tonight. Some asshat with a fusion rifle that apparently couldn't be hurt. Screw that.

I'd rather watch tv for hours than deal with that ridiculous crap, especially after spending FIFTEEN minutes trying to matchmake a control game.

They were a blade dancer to boot.

Are the servers being unstable for others? Not sure how much of this to blame on my home network.

Constant "contacting destiny servers" messages.

Edit: *looks at above post*

Bungie!!!

I think you only get marks if you're level 20.

I have a 14 hunter if you want to meet up for a few strikes!

Tbh: Any Warlock going into the Raid using Sunsinger is a chicken shit and less effective too---especially on the final boss.

It's a million more times useful to get into the Vault if you can drop Nova Bomb on Minotaurs, and when you do the templar it's a great super for saving you from the Pretorian Minotaurs as well if things get jam packed.

Yeah it's nice you can revive yourself...but stop dying to begin with. Once that's taken away you have a useless super that just sits there you don't burn.

On the boss it's amazing in Raid to drop a Nova bomb right away on any harpy's left over by a gate so everyone can pump the boss easy, then you too can sling a few more supers the bosses away which add up to good damage.

Sunsinger sucks in PvP IMO, but that's debatable.

I'll take a Hunter over a Lock any day just for Golden Gun.....but Titan my Titan is the bomb diggity fresh as far as PvE content. Dem over shields. <3
Crazy talk! Solar grenade spam on the final boss does a ton of damage. The revive ability keeps attempts going, not only if the sunsinger dies, but if other people die and reviving them means going on a suicide run... that is, a suicide run for anyone but a sunsinger.

I will give you one thing, sunsingers that play too cautiously with their super are probably less effective than voidwalkers. It shouldn't only be used when the shit hits the fan, you should use it as much as possible to create a flood of orbs that boost the team.

Oh, and be happy you haven't faced me in PvP if you think Sunsingers suck there. I feel bad sometimes, but only sometimes, about how powerful it is.
