Yet you feel that Jun will be cut? She had a hell of a bigger vocal fanbase and considering how they're wrapping up the Mishima saga there's no way she'll be left out. I will be absolutely shocked (among other things) if he leaves her hanging.

I can see her still in. She would be part of the big conclusion to the story I would think.

Oh no......It's another Lars-type character. >_>

Why do all the new characters have tattoos? Just curious.

But damn if I'm not hyped.

Not sure if he will be similar to Lars(first thing that came to my mind also), but he reminds me of Maxi from Soul Calibur, so I am not really sure what to expect. I honestly think we will see several "easy to play" or newb-friendly characters in Tekken 7 since they seemingly want to draw in the casuals as well. Yeah, I just hope they do not overdo it with that.

Well, Kunimitsu isn't canonically dead, so that's why I included her :P If Jun wasn't dead she'd be in 100%.

This a location test, you guys can worry about outfits when it gets closer to release. Remember though that Harada wants an "iconic" look for them so expect at least their main outfits to stay the same.

Same goes for mechanics, they can still change a lot. Remember early T6 with no bound?

All I want is some damn footage.

Nope

Exactly the reason why I'm not making presumptions and judgment calls on gameplay mechanics.

As far as costumes, I guess you're right. They have a lot of different art designers working to probably make some real good 3P costumes.

This isn't Tekken 4 days anymore. Tekken team has a lot of experience and I have trust they'll create a well-balanced, deep, and fun game.

Well, the PDF basically confirms customization, so we know they'll be getting outfits from there. But we just have to get comfortable with seeing every tournament we watch with the same outfits from the past 10 years.

I don't think they're gonna change the default outfits. If they spent this much time making them in UE4 at the current detail I think it's here to stay. But oh well what you say may indeed be possible.

Thank heavens there's no Bob though.

He said that initially, but after so many people quit the game during Tag 2 because they felt it was too complicated, he changed his mind as we saw from Harada's comments during the Tekken Casino at EVO.

I missed those comments, do you have a link to this?

Tournament people can always pick 2P and 3P costumes, though.

I really wanted new designs for the characters.....but you know, what? Whatever.....What matters in the end is the gameplay to me.

Customizations and alternate 2P/3P costumes will have to do for people looking for a complete overhaul of characters.

Wonkey has just confirmed.

Bound is still in. But a lot of the moves that previously led to bound will no longer do so.

The 1P costumes don't need a change. Keep the iconic looks. But it would be nice if we saw a fresh aesthetic. MK9 is a good example of a game that looked completely new but classic at the same time.

What I'm seeing so far is a prettier T6. But keep in mind, the early location tests for T6 made it look like a prettier T5. What we got in the end had a unique feel, imo.

I'd say the biggest issue has been for a while now that the game has been pretty stagnant as far...

I don't think Tekken's been stagnant.

Its been growing more and more complex with every entry since 5 that new players felt left out.

I wish they would aim to make it simpler by peeling off the artificially cheap mechanics ,but I respect that they preserve the foundation at the same time.

Its a really amazing game if you sort of dedicate your life to it ,but not many people can do that realistically.

Its a really difficult balance to get right ,but not being a Tag game is a step in the right direction for starters.

Can't wait to watch ATP Live tonight

Aris is amazing.

The in-game camera of Tekken 7 is a bit more further back from the characters compared to TTT2.

Nooo, I wanted it to be be zoomed in like T6. :( That game just felt so visceral with the close camera. These things are obviously subject to change, though.

And im willing to wager that was already a concession. I dont think selling music was a decision because of fan requests, but more to appease higher ups who see what capcom, arcsys and even WB do with their fighters.

I would love for tekken to at least keep fighters free, so if they have sell costumes as DLC so be it. I always use the defaut outfit in my fighters anyway.

Yeah think about it...

They give you tons of customization options for each character in T6 and TTT2 and it was all for free.

I am sure the higher ups would love to sell every outfit piece by piece.

Best camera placement was actually Tekken 4.

Also...

But Jun isn't dead. Or are you just saying this because you know it drives me crazy seeing how people still believe this is the case? :lol

It's working you jerk! T_T

Revolution was the test bed for what we have in front of us right now.

Doesn't surprise me one bit in the least.

I don't know however if this is what you do to bridge the gap between the casual & the stalwart guard.

The stalwart guard though will always bring the game to a level that shows what the game is capable of so while this may be a bit jarring for me now is that the true game will shine through in the end.

The only thing I'm actually looking forward to is what exactly they do with Kazumi. That should be interesting.

Rage Arts: d+3+4 (I believe this is f,n,3 from TTT2)
Power Crush: b+4 (this is his go to tracking move.... I'd assume thise PC's are gonna be super unsafe. This would be a pretty big change)
His other moves listed:
f,f+4
d+4,4
b+3

A safe high, a low-high string, and a launch punishable launcher. LOL these are the scrubbiest moves haha.

That's what is frustrating me more than new outfits actually..The lack of new movesets to change up the playstyle of characters.

Changing framedata and properties isn't enough..We need completely new moves.

If bound combos are still the optimal damage moves, but there are fewer options to bound, won't it reduce the variety of combos?

I dont think we are disagreeing here.

I think harada got that in because he allowed the online pass and selling tekken tunes.

But TTT2 was not a big seller.

Im expecting he will have to make more concessions this time round.
