I knew they were gonna go all out with them particle effects.
I'm sure we'll even see the number of particles and effects double for the final release.
Will look glorious!

ugh..Wanted to see Nina and Anna...

At least was suuure Nina would show up.

But obviously Asuka,Lili,Alisa and Xiao are here...

AHHHHHHH!!!

Nina is definitely gonna be in the final game though.

a lot of non-playable characters showed up in the T7 merchandise:

Jin
Devil Jin
Armor King
Christie (but not Eddy?)
Nina
Anna
Ganryu
Jack(-7?)
Yoshimitsu
Mokujin
Kuma
Panda
Raven
Roger Jr.
Lee

Does he look different?

f+4 is absolutely used.

As a wall bound I think u/f+3 does the same thing for more damage. But I don't play Kaz.

The point was, why are we hearing about random move property changes instead of, idk, what is Kazuya's Rage Art and how does the mechanic work exactly?

I'm so impatient. :( Sorry Wonkey.

Outside of walls, it's not really useful in combos as a bound move. His other options are better.

In neutral, it is good on counterhit but I'm talking strictly combos since we're looking at bounds.

I'm just disputing the fact that it's a move nobody used. It's a mid that's + on block, of course it's used.

And those Customziations on the PDF are recycled from T6 as well. Lili's Goth makeup, Dragunov's scissor hands, and Paul's extended hair. This is honestly looking more and more like a cross gen title people. It also makes sense considering how far along they are in development to have a playable demo available to the public.

In that case, I agree.

I think it's a good thing that they're reusing Tekken 6's customizations, so long as there are plenty of new ones. It was a waste leaving them out of Tag Tournament 2.

Eh, they're placeholders for all I'm concerned. It's too early to start calling this cross gen.

I imagine that there will definitely be an increase in character polygons considering it is next generation and using UE4 unless they are some miracle workers/programmers. At least I would really hope so. That would be kind of embarrassing imo. We are using UE4 technology, but our characters have the same polygon count as the PS3/Arcade version.

Not sure who I feel about the new mechanics since I am generally not a fan of comeback mechanics, but I will reserve judgment until I see it in action and find out more about it. Could be fun and really add to the game.

Yeah, the lack of new outfits is disappointing, but I am insinuating(hoping) that is because it is still in it's early phases.

Wouldn't less bound moves just mean that players will just use the same bound moves and combos more?

I think he's talking about increase in polygons from loc test to final release, which is very very unlikely.
The 50% will amount to particle effects, better maps, better geometry of the stages, effects in general etc.

I don't mind it.It means more players with is the No.1 thing in a fighting game.

It will still be 60 FPS and beautiful.Hope they manage to make PS3 and PS4 online gameplay intersect thought.More people to play against.

I'm sure that most of those characters will be back, judging from the post Tekken 5 games. I'm especially sure that Nina & Yoshimitsu will be back, those two are one of the few characters that have been in every single Tekken game

Actually, there's no way it's real LOL. It's 11 AM in Japan haha. It's not night time LOL.

It would be easy to assume people line up at night to be the first ones in.

Now I want to see what the real crowd looked like.

Why are they reusing some assets? Look at Law's picture and Hwoarang's picture in that screenshot. Is this normal for location tests? I really want to see a new game.

I don't understand the logic that the characters need the same costumes to remain iconic. Mortal Kombat changes the designs and it's not a problem. Even the most casual player is not going to be upset or confused. They changed them for Tekken 1-5 and they were successful. People talk about the glory days of Tekken 3 which had big changes. It sounds like an excuse.

More info from Wonkey:
When you score a CH in Tekken 7, there's a lot more hit sparks that come out. Makes it easy to tell when you see a CH.

Edit: beaten with a paul CH deathfist.

Those are really temporary placeholders. There's no way they are going to use those in the final game.

Mortal kombat doesn't really factor here. Nothing stays the same in that franchise. All the big japanese fighters have basically the same outfit throughout Iterations.

It factors because as long as the look isn't drastically changed and the characters are recognizable its fine. it just comes off as lazy. Tekken changing costumes every game was nice.

They're not talking about characters being iconic, but looks being iconic for that particular character. Just like Street Fighter. No one's asking what will Chun Li wear because everybody already knows what it's going to be. That's because her outfit is iconic for that character.

I'm not saying I like it, I loved the new default costumes each game gave us. But it's not very hard to see what they're going for, is it?
