Last time I got an exotic from a drop it was available for sale the week after (Helm of Inmost Light). Hawkmoon dropped this week for me, so I'd say chances are pretty high lol.

Kind of want Gjallorhorn again, purposely missed out on that one and now I kinda regret it.

I said it right around this time last week, and I'll say it again. If Xur would sell me Heart of the Praxic Fire for 13 strange coins, I will be perfectly fine if Bungie locks me out of any and all engram drops for the 10 year lifespan planned for this ip.
 
At the part of the Invective Exotic Bounty where it says I need to complete a Weekly Challenge Activity. Does that mean completing the Weekly Strike?

Try doing the nightfall first. With the extra XP gain the levelling up doesn't seem as bad. Also play a high level strike playlist and always look out for bonus XP missions.

... After missing out on the SOUROS last week if XUR doesn't Bring some killer shit this week I'm gonna pull his bastard tentacled face off.

23 motes of light for exotic engram, 13 coins for armor and 21 coins for weapon, are those correct for Xur prices?
 
This damn bounty for Thorn is enough to make me trade this game in. 500 points of void damage is not happening with my Hunter. Only Void I got is a fusion rifle and the time to charge I am dead. I played a ton of crucible today and have only 138 points.

Hmm, I'm trying to see if I should take the risk for the Engram and hope I get a hunter piece instead of a Titan one, or just save the motes and spend the coins on armor instead of a weapon.

Motes of Light are only used to purchase items from the speaker / Xur correct?

Correct. And if you're like me, I'll take the random chance for something useful instead of spending motes making myself or my emblem look pretty.

I'm trying to figure out what the easiest way to gear up an Alt would be, sucks that marks aren't shared account wide, and that it's not possible to buy epic gear from another class's vanguard vendor.

Seems buying an item from Xur and hoping for the right drops from Queens loot is the way to go.

Yeah I did the nightfall on Tuesday and always do the vanguard and non crucible queen missions. Shit is still crawling, gotta level hard light and pocket infinity

At the moment, yes.

Last week, I gambled on the Exotic Helmet Engram because I didn't have enough for Knucklehead Radar AND Suros.

The engram turned in Knucklehead Radar, so I lucked out and could get both.

It'll always be an exotic, but the last time I did it I ended up with a Warlock chest, when I'm a Hunter.

Unless you want something from the Speaker, I say gamble first then prioritise if you can only buy one

I'm so unlucky that I have more armor exotics for Hunter and Titan than I do for my Warlock. But yeah, for the Queen's stuff, you can pretty much guarantee yourself legendary helms and chests for your alts as long as you can get through the level 24 missions.

I did the same last week, I bought the Engram and got the Titan Alpha Lupi after buying the Helm of Innermost Light, worked out well for me though, I have a PvP and a PvE Exotic that keeps me in a level 30 gear set.

Waking the hive is also good for levelling an alt character when you're bored of chasing from bounty to bounty or one public even to the next. Just put 2 and a half levels on my 2nd Warlock this morning while coming 'round with a cup or two of tea.

No, you have to do the Queen's stuff on the class you want the gear for. It will always be gear for the class you completed the mission with.
