As a Titan, I can only preview equipment that's meant for my class.
Nope, you can preview any item in the game, even the ones not for your class. Or for some weird reason they disabled this feature for the exotics, but I doubt it: see how when you hover on the other items they still give you the "Details" option?

I did the lv 22 weekly heroic strike alone yesterday(iwas lv 25 at that point)
It took a long time but it worked.
A few hours later I tired it again, this time I was lv 26 and a lv 27 warlock was with me, also a lv 20 titan(a friend of mine) and we didn't manage to do it.

Why is that? It was the same difficulty.
I felt like there spawned much more enemies in the room with final boss.

more players = more adds spawn?

You can't preview the equipment model is what he means.

Yeah..... No. It always says 'preview unavailable'. You can still see all the possible upgrades etc, but you can't see the mock up in all its glory. It's the same for all armour not just exotic.

The more of you in the strike the more enemies the game spawns, so as the level 20 would of taken a big negative damage modifier to their hits on enemies 2 levels above them, they may not of been able to kill the extra spawning enemies, putting more pressure on you and the lvl 27.

i have the legendary pulse, named fair and square and my current legendary seems better in every way.. my stability is way better.. like more than twice aa5good than red death. it looks like red deaths only thing thats better is healing after every kill. am i missing something?

Ok. Go preview an exotic armor piece Xur has that's not for your class.

Damn, I was SURE you could!
I don't know what I did that made me think that.
Sorry then if that's not the case. :(

Is it? The cooldown reduction on HoPF is super nice and enemy AI usually don't have them sitting in solar grenades that long.
Enemy ai are slow, they sit in solar grenades all the time. You use grenades way more frequently than your super, and even without Heart of Praxic Fire a single use of radiance can clean house of adds (especially if Sunbreakers are on)

Just my opinion.

my titan was 27 but i finally got another legendary helm besides the queen one so it knocked me down a peg.

i think my titan was really into the late 70s punk scene.

this is pre red death. i really wanted to burn some strange coin and that titan helm xur is selling right now looks a little goofy to me, i love the helmet but not the broom top. i'll stick with my chest piece for now.

just playing some crucible now to get enough marks to buy legendary boots and get my bad ju ju bounty done, then it's just grinding to level up my armor and weapons. then i'm gonna be about as ready for the raid as i've ever been.

Q? should i blow my motes on the engram and hope i get a nice titan helm, or just buy something nice off the speaker to dangle below my belt? i really don't know what way to go... worst case if i get an exotic that is for another class i can break it down for the ass shards and be closer to some lvl'ing.

I don't think so. Heart let's you throw hella fusion grenades which are a one hit kill in pvp if they stick. Solar grenades are only useful at choke points but even then you're better off throwing a bunch of fusion grenades.

Hmm, most of the time stuff move out of them in my experience but oh well.

Yeah that's my thinking as well. HoPF is a lot more flexible since it can be applied to all grenade types and melee.

This game is so good I was told to fuck off when I asked to join a raid with my level 28 hunter. You know what? You go fuck off. I'll make my own raid. With casinos. And hookers.

I won't have time to try it until after work tonight so I'll ask. How is the Weapons of Light buff in PVP? I've never tested it outside of PVE and normally roll with Blessing.

You'd need some powerful people with OP weaponry to pull that off and everything would have to be perfect, because at least with 6 people many situations are recoverable if people get glitched out or enrage happens.

Yeah, that was my thought.

I haven't attempted it, none of my friends have.

BUT, there's four of us, all reasonably leveled, two very well equipped, and everyone plays their role well.

So fuck it, we will try. What's the worst that can happen? I'm not expecting to clear it, but even getting partially through it, or SOME rewards, will be worth it, and a laugh.

I almost want to do it just to prove a point; one of our group thinks a friend's friend's friend did it with 3 people, and I'm constantly telling him it's not possible.

I hate and love playing with a Sunslinger Warlock.

On the one hand,if something dumb happens and we do wipe,it's great that he can get back up.

On the other hand the super is never used cause it's always stored for emergencies, so against groups of adds we always have to use something else and he never generates orbs for us.

It's like, damn, it's so good but also SO BAD.

Normal red health bars die really fast so they don't need to be in too long. For majors just punch them back in when they walk out if you can, or if angry mod is on just throw it a little before their feet so they slowly walk through them.

Well, has nothing to do with the game if people are dicks. I am sure you'll get a raid gorup here, only met classy people.

I'll blow my super for grenade spam if someone else generates a bunch of orbs first lol.

Like you said, trash dies pretty quickly so normal duration solar grenades is all you really need.

Pushing majors into solar grenades sounds like...trying too hard to make Solar grenades useful lol. I don't know; to each his own I guess.

I'm Just going to pretend Fireborn doesn't exist and use radiant skin instead. Much more fun using supers constantly.

I think Voidwalker is really underrated. The Nova Bomb is amazing in PvP and blink has gotten me out of many sticky situations in PvE and PvP.

It's amazing to switch between both though.

its a sacrifice we have to make for the good of the team ;)

And you'll be surprised how many of your buds will thank you for it after it gets the team out the crap.

Was talking to a few GAFers in game, and really think bungie needs a public bounty system.

Stay with me, I know it sounds a little weird, but it will make sense.

First, have it where you can talk to the bounty dealer, and have an option to go into your inventory and select an item, or number of them, and then select a requested amount of another item for trade.

Example:
I place a legendary Scout rifle in the bounty list, and then pull from a list of possible objectives that would be a fair trade, say, 200 Spinmetal, 200 Spirit Bloom, 200 Relic Iron, and 200 Helium Filaments.
You can not place a title, and the reward will only show its rarity by color to other players looking at the bounty.
People can judge by the amount needed to get the item, that it is indeed rare, or that is is worth the grind.

The number of items and in what quantity is just place holding, but I think this would make for incentive to farm, and also make it hard to abuse the system as well.

Thoughts?
I like the way you think man.

Got my first 6+ k/d ratio, haven't played competitive fps since counterstrike 1.6 for chrissake. I'm still in the "if I'm your best player, we're gonna lose" tier.

Protip for all control players: don't blindly rush at the zones you don't control. It's a terrible strategy.

I know that. I didn't give it any importance. Although it is a shared sentiment in the community that carrying a hunter is detrimental to raid completion, so Bungie should give that a look and check how real that detriment is.

Those people are real dumb. Hunter are really useful in the raid, especially at the end.

Video: Xur's new location + items for sale this week!

I completely lost interest in the game.. I'm just playing it now coz I have some time to spare and I don't have other games to play

I've been lucky to get 2 exotics as primary weapons early in the game, then got the Sunbreakers also shortly after hitting level 20. Then did a couple of Queens and sorted myself with all purples for the rest of the slots. And that's without doing any "after game" content like raids, weekly or daily strikes.

So now I just go around and do stuff to get Ascendant shards. My game only revolves around getting ascendant shards so I can level up my character. It's kinda stupid and not fun especially with the rate of getting these stupid things.

It's really fun to play with friends, but it'll get old very quickly as the rewards are not really that exciting.

I haven't done VoG yet, so I might be wrong, but I don't see why do I need new items from the Vault!? I only needs the stupid shards now

I really hope that I'm wrong coz I enjoy the gmeplay

3 people IS impossible I can flat out tell you that now, 4 people might have a really tough time just getting through the first part of the Raid.

Anyone? Thoughts on red death?
This is going to get a lot of use today...

reposting what I said earlier about it.

For people wondering about the Red Death, I've had it for 3 weeks or so now and it's pretty good. Reminds me of the BR from Halo. It's still a pulse rifle though so it's not going to perform miracles. Otherwise it's very accurate and the time between burst is very much like the BR. A solid primary imo, not too great for PvP though, but for PvE it's great.

A good Sunbro knows to use the super once everyone else starts making orbs of light. Gotta spread the orb love when the time is right.

Also, there's an ability to make Scorch, the melee, drop orbs too. That would be useful to have.

You want the items from VoG to hit level 30, and then use that gear to try to clear VoG hard. After that... /shrug

Never, never, NEVER use weapons in PvP.

Armor all day, every day! You are too squishy without it.

Armor makes the bubble your dome of pain. Now with the Saint helm, it's my dome of "what the hell! Titans are sooo OP!"

Saint turns the bubble into an offensive tool.

I can't really get in a decent group to do it. I tried the forums and the lfg website with no luck to be honest.

And I don't think basing an online game on doing a raid is anywhere close to being acceptable. Other MMO's you can play them without even doing a single raid and still enjoy the game

Starting to get pissed off with people running through large groups of enemy just to get to the bosses on a Strike.
