According to DestinyNews, this not correct. There are two raid armor sets, complete, for each difficulty setting.

Which has caused me to let out a HUGE sigh of relief, as I need the raid helm to reach level 30.

No that's wrong. That is stuff data mined from the beta. The full game only has one set of raid gear.

The helm can drop on normal though from Atheon, chances are very slim.
Friend got two of them on hard yesterday because he didn't complete normal with that character.

Can I get some thoughts on the Altheon Epilogue assault rifle?
Got it last night, void damage does wonders against minotaur shields but the impact is like... Thinner than a split hair folicle

I use it in the raid. One of the best primaries for the raid. Fully upgraded its a beast and very useful in the last phase for taking down the oracles. Other than that fuck that weapon. After the raid is done it goes straight back to the vault.

Thoughts on this "guide?" Seems fairly obvious to me but wanted to see if anyone else had better/other ideas.

I don't know your situation, but unless you want to be spending mats on normal legendaries to get to 29, you'll be kinda gimped when you get pieces that will get you to 30 if you're without the materials which you already spent on getting to 29 in the first place.

If I were you in that case, I wouldn't hit 29. Sure, you could use whatever gear you wanted to hit 29, but it'll be a waste of resources when you begin getting raid gear.

When you're 26, start swapping out stuff for raid gear when you get it unless its an exotic. However, the most efficient way of hitting 30 would be to already have an exotic headpiece. That way, you won't have to wait to do the heroic raid's final boss for RNG to give you the raid headpiece.

There are essentially two separate approaches here, and this is the focus of my final guide in progress.

I'm not in any rush to hit 30 and as a result I'm not concerned with hitting 29. However if hitting 30 asap is a priority that means running the hard mode raid ASAP for two rolls at raid gear per week, and that means hitting 29 asap, and that means spending shards on normal tier legendaries (unless you happen to be very lucky and get raid armor your first couple of weeks from the normal run).

Wow 7-8 hours it a lot. Just rush thru story with bounties is the fastest way in my opinion. I have a warlock, and hunter. Power leveling a Titan, got him to lvl 12 in under an hour. 8 more lvl and he'll be instantly 25-26. Got exotic and rare gear for him playing as other classes.

How did you get to level 12 in an hour? Just stories? I want to get someone higher level who will let me put the stories on hard and just roll through them

At the same time, weapon imbalances take longer to fix than patching a loot cave. Though I agree with you.

Sure, but it's a larger detriment to the experience. Also, internal testing only seems to go so far, allowing the imbalances to exist in the first place. Better to release quick hotfixes that address the most glaring problems and see how it behaves in the wild.

yea that's why you pretty much need to match the shader to the current Exotic your wearing.

In terms of Strikes, is it better to have a Titan that is running the defender class as opposed to the default striker class?

I have a level 14 Titan, and it just seems like the defenders ultimate ability ( shield ) would be more useful in boss fights than the melee AoE ( I forget the name ).

Thoughts on which class is better for Titans for strikes? Thank you.

It does blow, and i've noticed a ton more afkers trying to get carried. such is matchmaking. luckily I can solo all of them at this point, but it's definitely more fun with a real GAF fireteam.

None are the best and none are the worst. They let you specialize.

If you play on 28 you get all the rewards from the lower tiers. So yeah you could play it at each level to get the rewards for that level but that would be a waste of time.

I guess that explains the trend. Now that I think about it, Voidfang Vestments is the only exotic I've seen that works with shaders.
