If you play on 28 you get all the rewards from the lower tiers. So yeah you could play it at each level to get the rewards for that level but that would be a waste of time.

In terms of Strikes, is it better to have a Titan that is running the defender class as opposed to the default striker class?

I have a level 14 Titan, and it just seems like the defenders ultimate ability ( shield ) would be more useful in boss fights than the melee AoE ( I forget the name ).

Thoughts on which class is better for Titans for strikes? Thank you.

I'm a level 21 Titan, and I've found that running Defender in strikes is the most useful. Its awesome for dropping a shield when you revive teammates so you don't get obliterated (especially helpful vs. the nexus), and it also helps if you aggro and drop the shield to draw enemies or the boss in while your teammates pepper them. I don't have the perk yet where your teammates refill health when they enter the shield, but once you get that I would think a Defender Titan is super useful in strikes.

Only downside is that its not nearly as fun to play as Striker.

You would know not to try and run in the bubble and nade the titan. Although that is usually a suicide bomber move anyway

The bounties for completing strikes with no deaths don't help anything. Walking Tall should have been about the most kills or most loot gained/found, not about completing it unscathed. Bungie constantly overlooks the sheer douchebaggery that can be accomplished online.

That's impossible. People online think / say only last place people get good loot. Obvious photoshop .

I've had it for a week and it always throws me off. After weeks of drilling myself to maximize my opportunity for three shots, I generally find myself running around not knowing what to do with shot 4 and wasting it.

I'm unsure whether or not to spend my coins on the Sunbreakers. I do run a Sunsinger, but equipping those Gauntlets means that I will have less reload speed with my Hand Cannons (Which is very necessary on Thorn) and less melee attack speed.

Is the trade worth it?

Not at all. If you are committed to Thorn, Sunbreakers are a mismatch.

edit: You could use them for another build of course, just don't try to work them into your Thorn build. Sunbreakers pair well with a Special Weapon exotic, high Discipline gear, and, well, Radiant Will

Guess I'm going for just Red Death. I already have a Hunter exotic helm and a Warlock Exotic helm (which I've barely started playing as). Not worth rolling motes for another exotic helm. Hunter item is another helm this week... I'll try my luck with the motes next week.

There are essentially two separate approaches here, and this is the focus of my final guide in progress.

I'm not in any rush to hit 30 and as a result I'm not concerned with hitting 29. However if hitting 30 asap is a priority that means running the hard mode raid ASAP for two rolls at raid gear per week, and that means hitting 29 asap, and that means spending shards on normal tier legendaries (unless you happen to be very lucky and get raid armor your first couple of weeks from the normal run).

I think something you might want to consider putting info on is the 'ideal' method of hitting 29 with the least amount of "wasted" shards.

Like, is it possible to get to 29 with one maxed exotic, one maxed raid gear component, one untouched legendary and one regularly maxed legendary? That would reduce the shard usage to some degree, and I *THINK* it would work?

30+30+28+22 = 110 and IIRC that's enough for 29. You could run normal raid to get at least one component first before going, since the shard grind is...extremely unfun in many cases.

For shard usage I'm not sure what this looks like (I'm at work), but in my head this looks like the most efficient manner of getting about it?

We managed to get a party of 3 and we won every control match but didn't get to go up against Bungie. They didn't lose a single match last night. If you caught their stream, how about all them handcannon kills! Damn!
