PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

I am hoping alien isolation is a good game. On the topic of ps plus I can't wait to play dust again. It is pretty amazing. I am wondering though didn't ms publish the game?

Everybody buy metro redux.

Apparently just actually being good at Road Not Taken and Hittogata Happa earned me all 5 of my top rarest.
5 thousand owners?! Fuck, everyone buy Gundemonium Collection on PS3. 3 great bullet hell shmups with excellent difficulty modes. If you can get to level 2 in Gradius 3 I guarantee you can play these on easy modo at LEAST. Maybe not Hitogatta happa but it's also the best so try.

Good, good. Get the Histoire DLC, she's awesome. Actually all 3 character DLCs are easily worth it at $1. Plutia's almost broken.

I really hope that the developers manage to solve the problems they have had with theVita version of Road Not Taken. But it doesn´t look good if you follow their twitter. :|

New patch? Are they actually going to make Starlight Inception not shit?
I was excited for it but in retrospect I should have known better from the beta. :/

Have you played the game post patch?

Except from a GFX bug in the cave in mission 5 and the fact that the best/quickest way to farm CP is the tutorial mission (both problems are being fixed for the new patch) I really like the SP campaign.

If you haven't played the game post patch I'll guess you still belive that the infinite death loop in mission 3 and the horrible GFX in mission 2 is still present (which is wrong), they also tweaked the speed in the game.

I don't care at all about the tower defence mode and I have still to play the MP, so my hope is for them to earn enough money so they can create more SP content because as I have said before I am truly impressed with the foundation they have vreated for the game (and we still don't know what they intend with being able to capture enemies as this is yet to be implimented into the game).

What I want them to add to the game is some space dust/particles to get even more sense of movement/speed.

The soundtrack is also very good.

why didn't you like it?

Hmm, sounds interesting...complicated but interesting.

it's complicated in the same way a boxing match is complicated. You know what you can do and what needs to be done, but how you do it is up to you.

It is the Minecraft of strategy games. You don´t create complex plans because the game tells you to do it, but because you can and you want to. :)

Don't forget World End Eclipse, to me that game looks interesting (did they say when to expect it?)

Edit: Natural Doctrine is up on the EU Vita store now, is it really supposed to have the exact same price as the PS3 version.

On another topic: I really like the Calendar app on the Vita, but is it possible to change the colour of the app (I know you can change colours for each day, but I mean the yellow/brownish border and the colour that highlights wich day it is today)?

What function does the "Intellectual Property Notices" fill (if you longpress an app you see three options delete, Intellectual property notices, information)?

These I guess:
Getting Wizard trophy on any of the Pinball Arcade tables was a miracle for me. More luck than skill.

Oh wow, I never knew any of the pinball games had Central Park, my dad actually owns that machine at home :)
He also had 300 (Bowling) but ended up dismantling it which I wasn’t too happy about.

I'm not into too much into trophies but for me rarity is the even bigger than themes! XD

he's just getting everyone ready for dangan ronpa 3 ps4 exclusive

a visual novel adv exclusive to a console (render dat art at 1080p 30000fps) is like the most pointless thing ever - but never doubt sony

I think that Danganronpa 3 will use Danganronpa Another Episode engine, so it would make sense a PS4 version.

Is the Vita 2K better at remote play than the original Vita? I can't help but wonder why my remote play is inconsistent when I see all these post about it being great. My interest is grand I tell ya! I even did the power save thing with the vita that made it way better.

I never thought I'd care for trophies, but I'm so into going for platinum trophies now. Of course, it's only if I enjoy the game. Since a lot of trophies makes you experience a lot of what the game has to offer, it really makes the purchase that much more worth. I wouldn't have cared to find everything in TLOU if not for the trophies. Really had a blast doing so however.

As for themes, I just want a Project Diva theme with options of a variety of Vocaloid songs to play on the background.

Nah, they're the same.

Have you tried setting up your connection again and making sure you've got direct connection enabled?

I was told direct connection is problematic and over the internet is the best if you have an Ethernet port. I had problems with direct before, but that was before I was given the power save advice. Will try.

The only plat that I have (sorry I just don't care about trophies at all):

EDIT: damn can't believe I beat the game 2 years ago almost. Time sure does fly...

Same here. 'cept I did it just a couple of weeks ago. Now working on P4G and Danganronpa.

Yeah, I'm behind, even though I've had the Vita since launch.

There are people here who wouldn't get the physical edition?

Maybe Europeans who want to buy DLC.
Yes, I am still torn.

Thanks, downloading the demo of Project Diva right now, will see how that goes. If I like it, should I get the first one, or will the second one in a few weeks make it obsolete?

In terms of gameplay F 2nd only added some minor tweaks afaik. The tracklist is completely different though so the first one doesn't get obsolete. If you are on of those who prefer physical editions of their games I'd go with F 2nd since the first one is digital only and I doubt that SEGA pressed a lot of retail copies for F 2nd.

Okay activate trial on October 31st..get spelunky..than bam! =d=D

Than vita 64gb card and ps+

than ps4 slim when it eventually comes out...

So after trying the Project Diva demo I have to say that it's probably not for me. While I did enjoy the mechanics (sans the touchscreen scratching), I didn't really like any of the three songs, do not really care about the customization and ~35 songs seem pretty few, especially since I probably will end up not liking most of them. A shame, since the game does look well made, the music videos are really neat and the more frantic song (Dance Hall Hell or something?) on Normal was fun to play and decently challenging for a start.

On the other hand I just cleared Chapter 5 of DR2 and while I wasn't too pleased with the things happening before, that one seems to be a huge turning point and definitely got me hooked again. Overall I'm still liking DR1 more, since it had better pacing and felt like it presented less filler material, but if things go on like this my opinion might still change. But damn, those minigames are terrible, all of them.

Maybe Europeans who want to buy DLC.
Yes, I am still torn.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Could get the Limited Edition for 45€ but don't want to change accounts again and missing out on DLC characters and costumes bothers me too.

Yeah, It's a really fun game, shame most people seem to be ignoring it. I don't think most people were expecting a puzzle roguelike or that it would take time to get used to like any roguelike. Also, the "save" system isn't very obvious in-game (making offerings to the stone bowls is a checkpoint). The text for them is extremely ominous (excessively so) so I ignored them my first playthrough--and and to start from scratch. Absolutely love the way the item descriptions slowly reveal the (rather horrific) world to the player with no narration or anything

Anyone interested in 1/6 scale miniature PlayStations?

Hrm I may need to buy these, they'd go well with some of my figures. Ugh, why did they include that abomination PS3 super slim while excluding the original playstation.

I think it's the game. I also have it on my Vita, and the double jump only works when you haven't fully made the first jump. Yo have to do it just before she stops in mid-air. It's frustrating, but you get the hang of it eventually.

lol, well at least it isn't like Shinobi 3 were you need to press jump at the HEIGHT of your initial one XD.

I feel ashamed. My rarest and only platinum trophy is Demon's Gaze, and it's at 2.5%.

I already set my 2nd platinum. It would be Senran Kagura.

I don't understand all the praise that Remote Play is getting either. It runs like shit for me. The framerate appears sub-30 fps, there are constant hicups, and there is definitely a noticeable amount of input lag.

Is the next SAO game being officially revealed today or tomorrow? I'm eager to hear more SAO news, loving Hollow Fragment despite giving it a 6/10 on my review.

The damn translation really hurt the game. Though the latest patched really made things better.

And Sinon best girl.

ok so with slight trepidation I joined the 64gb club. figured the £56 on there is as good as it'll get for a while and I can make like half of that back selling my 16 gig

nippon hasan and jp post are fast yo. got here in 5 days when it's supposed to take 8-10.

now I don't have to worry about filling my vita up for at least a whole two weeks!

Showed at 6,5% for me I believe. Is it tied to region perhaps? (EU here)

I think so. I double checked and it's 2.5%. Mine is Demon Gaze Global Edition.

For the remote play problem, maybe you should check again your setting? My friend could play FFXIV with remote play fine, and from what I saw, there is almost no input lag. He was using direct connection, though.

question, I saw on the store that gow collection is cross buy between vita and ps3. If I buy physical gow collection on the ps3, can i unlock the vita version or is digital only?

No platinums without a D cup or greater on the coverart

Digital only I'm pretty sure. I have the disk collection for GoW 1-3 + Chains/Ghost, and GoW 1 and 2 were on a disk with no code. Redeemed the codes in the box and only Chains/Ghost show up in it, ando nly for PS3. I think only like PS All Stars Battle Royal w cheese is physical cross buy because it comes with a code for a Vita version in box.

Would it be a good idea to look up a summary of FFX's plot before I start FFX-2? I don't want to play through FFX.

Yeah I'd look up a plot summary. Though the biggest thing to understand is every time they say "him" in the most awkward way ever they're referring to Tidus, they can't use his name because the player can name him in FFX. But it's good to understand the characters a bit and the general lore of the world. FFX-2 doesn't have the best story anyway, so if you're only playing it I hope you're playing for gameplay (it does have a pretty good job system and ATB implementation)

Thanks, will do. FFX-2's gameplay seems much better.

This is interesting. Why don't you want to play X?
FFX puts me to sleep.

NFS MW Vita is reminding me how much untapped potential the Vita has and it's depressing. Such a great portable racer. For the most part it's as good as the PS3 version. This thing really was capable of great AAA experiences but people just didn't want to know and now we're never gonna get games like this again on handhelds outside of remote play. So sad.

Thanks, will do. FFX-2's gameplay seems much better.

FFX puts me to sleep.

As a warning, you can skip cutscenes in FFX-2, but it will cost story completion %s (I don't believe this is fixed in the remaster). However, 100% completion requires multiple playthroughs and some extremely insane feats so I really don't recommend worrying about it.

Yeah, it's pretty much impossible to get 100% without using a walkthrough. I never got it in the PS2 version, but I did in the PS3 version.

I almost started the game over on PS2 thinking all I had to do was get Episode Completes to get 100%. Learned what you REALLY have to do. Screw that.

Dang. I found X to be superior to X-2 in every way. I really don't like X-2, but the experience coming from X is pretty cool how you get to see all the changes going on in the world. As other suggested, the story is bland. Gameplay wise, it remains me of 13-2 without the auto battle option, but in a prototype stage.
