I have the bounty for it... but I feel like getting it would be rude to Hawkmoon D:

There are lots of cool builds that could be made around Thorn though. It will truly be nasty after the buff. Hopefully, they'll figure out a way to make the buff mainly for PvE.

I dont know I have so many materials its crazy. all you have to do is go and get them. there everywhere, especailly spinmetal. also chest looting is fun. I love when they puit them in random places you didnt think you could reach.

So whats an arc weapon? And what do you mean by rep level 3? Is that the vendor level? And how does that go up?

At least that's what happens to me every time I have a DS4 problem of any kind.
 
I'm not trolling, but I hope he has sunbreakers again next week. I bought a Titan helm thinking I'd like to level up an alt but after starting the first mission realised I'd rather just have one character. Annoying!

I need backup exotics in case I get raid gear. Grumble.

I don't eat while playing videogames (well, not full meals; maybe a plum?).
 
So I let my roommate play a round of control. Last place with a .2 K/D. The entire team gets nothing, my Titan gets...an Exotic Scout Rifle (MIDA). My first ever Exotic drop, and first Exptic primary.

I then blew 130 Crucible marks on duplicate purple gear so I could shred them for Ascenant Shards. Level 28 at last :)

Having finished the Invective bounty yesterday too, as well as getting a Legendary Shotgun and Fusion Rifle from an incomplete Raid attempt a few days ago, I can't complain about this week's progress.

I wanna try the Raid again next week and blow some Supplicants. I was 26 when I tried and I was tickling them. Now at 28 and with an Exotic primary I think I'll stop being dead weight for the team to carry :)

Sploatee, I hope you can take me along again!
 
Are any of the things Xur is selling worth picking up? I'm looking at this stuff and not seeing anything I want. I have a Warlock chest piece that gives nade energy on respawn which I'm happy with, I've already got the Saint helmet and the Hunter helm doesn't really do anything for me. Is the pulse rifle any good? I don't really use em.

I would recommend watching a video on how to take the controller apart if you choose to do so. It's kinda a pain since you pretty much have to break some clips that hold it tightly together.

Levels are so important, you'll probably find it easy now.

PS stick with the MIDA, at first it feels really weak and pointless but once you upgrade it you basically become a super fast headshot ninja.

Hahah, I apparently have the humor of a 9 yr old. But hey, poop is funny.

I guess my fireteam was unjoinable though, so thanks and sorry to those who tried to help. And to top it off, I got booted back to the main menu two minutes ago because of server issues (or issues with my internet, who knows). So that progress is lost, I'm assuming.

I've taken two of my DS4s apart a number of times to swap in new thumbsticks and have never had an issue with anything breaking.

Yesss. It didn't even matter that my blues didn't turn into that strange, the postmaster had one for me as a gift!
I finally have the god damn sunbreakers! Looking at this thread it seems people are pissed that he's stocking duplicates, but I'm happy because I kept missing out. While farming for my coins I got a good legendary helmet (Istanu-GNT RAZOR) that looks better than the exotic helmet I was going to have to replace. Kinda regretting wasting time farming materials for the Apotheosis Veil, because the Sunbreakers are gonna be better.

I also got The Aries Nemesis X4 from a legendary engram. It's one of the Crucible legendary Scout Rifles, and I'm currently using the other one (Cryptic Dragon). I think Aries is doing more damage in PVE and I'm not sure why - maybe because it has more impact?

Now.. to buy that exotic head engram from Xur or not? I don't need/can't use an exotic headpiece even if it is for my class. I wish there were more useful things to buy with motes.
 
Quick question if you don't mind...

If I do Raid on Normal and then follow up and do it on Hard later on. Are the rewards for Hard voided out and I get nothing out of it until the reset next week?

I don't think a lot of people realize how big a difference levels make. Even a single level makes a HUGE difference. It's why, though 26 is the minimum for a raid, 27 is preferable and 28 is perfect.
 
This is a conundrum. I already have a fully upgraded exotic helm for my Titan but I really, really love the look of the one Xur is selling. In fact, it is the only piece of equipment in this game that I've coveted (besides a good scout rifle).

Hmm, I'm buying it.

I still don't get party chat. Guess I'm too old school. If someone invites me to one, I'll join, but I have no idea how to just randomly join someone's chat to ask them if they want to play with me. I'll just join their fireteam and use in game chat to ask. Plus, in game chat shows who's talking. Helps me a ton when there are six people in a raid.

If you do a lot of PvE and have yourself a rare sparrow from either the Vanguard or Crucible Quartermaster, man... go for the colored contrails that also boost your overall speed. Short of that legendary sparrow from the raid (Timebreaker), an upgraded sparrow is crazy fast and a great way to cut down time moving from Public Event to Public Event, or just getting about quick.

Pretty basic at the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to calculate the numbers we see in-game (E2, F2) from the weapon stats if possible. Every other calculation seems to be accurate (that I know of) and is based off of those initial numbers.

With destinys random disconnects and server errors the party chat is a must so you can tell people what happened and stay in contact with them while reconnecting.

Definitely. Skill is obvs a bit of it but level is so so important. I'm kind of glad I waited till 29 to try it, although I still feel really nooby when I'm with people that have done it loads of times already. That damn jumping puzzle... And I still don't know what happens either inside the portal during the pre Atheon bit or outside of the portal during Atheon.
