Help me out Gaf. Tell me all about Dr. No. It's my only legendary AR and I just got the stability upgrade but have yet to use it since then in Crucible play. It seems like the time to kill is soooooooo long. Does stability help much? Is it a viable PvP AR?

wow. Switched Shingen-E out for Galahad-E and started wrecking shop in PvP. I don't notice the reduced stability, but I certainly do notice the higher impact this bad boy provides.

Whats the Legendary version of the Galahad? Is it the Grim Citizen?

That asshole misadventure has killed me one too many times. I'm fed up.

Would be a cool Gamertag

None of the legendaries do the 'zoom in to fire slower' like the Galahad does.

The exotic Suros Regime does.

But the legendary Shadow Price has that slower/stronger rate of fire that people love.

Installing now. Can't wait to finally get into this game. I'm glad that the hype has cooled and that I've had a bit more distance from the alpha/beta. My thirst is real.

keep an open mind and you are in for a damn, damn good time. just don't expect much from the "story"
Guys is the Saint helmet for the Titan the best for a DEFENDER build?
it is a very good choice for defenders and allows you to build around using Ward of Dawn offensively. there are really no bests in terms of exotics.

Welcome! It's a great community. My best advice to give is to take it slow. Gear will come quicker than you think. Farming is not required at all. You'll get faction marks and faction reps for legendary gear absurdly fast at 20.

Is there a verdict on the Red Death? I've been burned once with legendary pulse rifles with the Bad Juju and wondering whether it's worth it or not. I do like pulse rifles but prefer autos because of the DPS against bosses.

Any one need two UK based players for the raid?

I am a level 28 warlock (maxed out on both classes) and the other guy is a level 28 Titan.

We both have not tried it before and really want to have a go at it!

Add me! PSN: MandrakeUK

I agree, they should accept either mark. It's silly that they don't given the quality of equipment they have (and the amount of equipment). That being said....

At this point, it's fairly trivial to farm materials and do the turn-ins. I am sitting on 200+ spinmetal at the moment, that's a quick 20 Crucible Marks if I wanted.
Hold on, you can get crucible marks from turning in materials? How/where? I will join a faction if I can avoid PvP.

after 6 crucible matches im at 166, i had to bow out of 2 matches where i was just bleeding points because of layout and players and shit.

once you are higher level than a mob your damage is capped. :/

I have no idea how the person who made that reddit post reached that conclusion based on what they were calculating.

What their calculations shows is that fighting enemies whose level is above your own reduces the weapon damage that you do to them. If you're at the same level as them or at levels above them, then you are doing 100% of your possible weapon damage, i.e., your weapon is doing the maximum amount of damage it can possibly do. If you upgrade your weapon or get a better one you will do even more damage. My Red Death for example, one shots low level Dreg on any part of their body with a single pull of the trigger, whilst my Pulsar MSE does fuck all.

The OP of that reddit post was probably thinking his/her weapon damage continually increases his/her level, but it doesn't work like that. Bungie just implemented a weapon damage penalty for fighting enemies stronger than you, a penalty which is then removed once you are the same level as those enemies, and from then on your weapon will do the maximum amount of damage it can possibly do, with the strongest weapons being capable of one shotting low level enemies due to their low amount of health. In the future, as better weapons are released, you'll see the higher level enemies going down just as fast.

This part though...

this is also why you die as fast doing earth lvl 4 missions as you do doing lvl 18 mars missions even though you're lvl 28 with 1400+ armor,

is bullshit. Go to Earth on patrol as a level 28 and face level 2 enemies and then go into the VoG and tell me that that the damage you receive is the same, it sure as hell is not. You can take on 20 level 2 dreg and come out the victor with barely a scratch, now try the same shit with 20 level 28 goblins.

Back in the bank the coins go then! Thanks for the heads up, was certainly considering dropping coins on it.

Well, I should clarify. It's snappy to aim and packs a punch. The health upgrade is also nice and it has a good range. It's the rate of fire that cripples it. You'll enjoy getting kills with it if nobody steals them first.

It deserves more speed

I would say that's a damn solid endorsement. I think...

Tell me about Dr. Nope Hawkian. Is it viable PvP? It was not without the stability upgrade, TTK seems so slow.
I have no experience with it, I'm not qualified to comment ;_; sorry
it's focused on PvE with the Inverse Shadow upgrade. here are the other helms for comparison

it could make for a very effective offense-oriented pvp build as well.
