Yes. It actually takes slightly less shards to upgrade an exotic though because the final column only holds two upgrades, whereas legendaries require 3. There is one more non-shard defense upgrade on an exotic armor piece.
Yes and no. The way Destiny handles currencies is dumb. Glimmer is used to upgrade gear and weapons and purchase items. After a certain point, buying greens to level Rahool does nothing. So you can spend money on emblems from that lady or buy special and heavy ammo packs for future use.
If you have it in front of you, how many total shards to fully upgrade a regular legendary, raid legendary, exotic to max light?
Ammo synthesis from the gunsmith- never leave the tower without it.
Also, if you haven't done the pocket infinity bounty yet, buy 11 rare fusion rifles.

Not in front of me, but it should be 18 for a stock legendary, 21 for a raid legendary, and 16 for an exotic.

Not the best bounty options for PvE. Invective is currently the best weapon but is mostly for close-quarters pvp maps. Thorn and Bad Juju are both tough to use in PvE for the moment but have been specifically mentioned as being buffed, though we don't know how. Choose your preferred weapon type IMO, or by which bounty steps look the easiest for you to complete.

I'll help you with the Nightfall. Based on your lack of mentioning Arc weapons despite it being this week's burn I venture a guess that perhaps you need it!
I have Legendary Arc Shotgun and Rocket Launcher, level 28 Titan.
Happy to take you through it in 25 then. Hawkian on PSN. I think they got a group of 3 but we can grab a third from here.
Spec Defender with Weapons of Light if you can, and that Rocket Launcher along with my Thunderlord will make the boss look quite silly.
I may have read this somewhere on reddit, but Auto Rifles and Shotguns are going to get nerfed somewhat, right? Or was I just misreading.

a dubious task took 2 nights of not doing much. the 25 k/d spread isnt really difficult for a novice on a play mode like control or clash(not calling you a novice, just generalizing). keep about 13k for the special ammo packs if you have none. the weekly strike i solo'd at 27. not hard at all.
They are, for range. Invective will probably get hit quite hard with that, but still be a viable weapon in PvP.
IMO shotguns are very tough to use effectively in PvE and outclassed by fusion rifles entirely.

Well yea it definitely changes the pace and danger and preferred weapons but i was responding more to the comment that Nightfall strikes had different or deeper mechanics than the other strikes more akin to a raid... which it doesn't imo.
People should be used to the Burn variants and other little changes. Those tweak the balance in the strike usually towards the main group you'll be fighting but - well to me at least - it doesn't really constitute a big change in the mechanics or flow of the strike. Same areas, routines, enemies and such... just now that older sniper rifle you haven't used since lvl 25 is all of a sudden useful again cause it's your only Arc weapon or whatever...
the Raid is in a different league entirely from what I can tell.

Simply make it opt-in. Bungie trying to protect people from classic internet online game behavior sure worked out for them in terms of review scores.
I can understand not allowing hardmode VoG have matchmaking but weekly heroics/daily stories even normal VoG can be smashed by a random pug with no mics.

For PvE it's more whatever kind of weapon you prefer. Bad Juju (Toland's legacy) and Thorn(Light in the Dark) are currently regarded as the most underpowered exotics, but they have some great perks and are being buffed "soon". I don't have invective (yet
) but a lot of people who use shotguns alot seem to like it.btw, The Light in the Dark is much easier if you're a voidwalker warlock
While facetiming with my 8yo niece, her dad is playing Destiny in the background. Now I'm having 2 different convos at once, one about the newest Pokémon and the other on what to spend Crucible marks on. I tried to be a good uncle and focus on her, but watching him play I just had to fire the game up. Glad I did because the gunsmith has rare Fusion Rifles! Even better, that is the bounty both he and I are working on! We both were celebrating. Needless to say, my niece got bored and started making faces while I continued talking Destiny with my brolaw.
