-Kuvira is a badass, though she seems a lot meaner than the last time we saw her. I wonder what the incident was.
Zelda voices kuvira? Finally watched episode 1. How will Korra defeat Shang Tsung if she can't get through the first round of the tournament?
Also, I had no idea that Zelda Williams voiced Kuvira.
Fantastic
Alright guys, link me to the episode.
Why would she agree to do that? For the money? She has the White Lotus backing her!Does many others feel like Korra was meant to "throw" the fight? The mans way of mentioning her performance being so "lackluster" had me thinking the whole thing was rigged.

Nah, she was totally getting rocked, korra is obviously out of shape and weak.Does many others feel like Korra was meant to "throw" the fight? The mans way of mentioning her performance being so "lackluster" had me thinking the whole thing was rigged.
It was what was left of the pot at the end since promoters always get a cut. It was pity moneythe guy says "here, for your lackluster participation" and then throws her a wad of cash, and this exchange happens in seclusion, mind
Korra totally threw the match
Kuvira likes blinding people when she fights. Inb4 Korra learns seismic earthbending from melon lord to help beat kuvira
I like how someone had to point out the bandits were working for Kuvira, like it wasn't totally obvious from her evil smirk and general evilness.
She'll use them to attack states/towns, and then come in as the hero. After last season I don't have any hope for bad guy motivations anymore.

Don't most fighters get a cut, win or lose?
Those mechas are very quickly getting more and more advanced, in a couple more years they'll be flying around in Gundams and tossing out burning fingers.
announcingelemental bending gundams sounds like the hypest shit.
They weren't feeding the hungry out of the good of their own hearts. They did it only after the contract was signed. Opal had a right to be upset.holy shit opal your bf is literally feeding the hungry
like how can you be mad

She can't blame Bolin for following orders though. She asks him to stay and help, but considering that he's in the military he can't just not pay attention to his superior officer when he still sees that they're doing good. She and the audience knows that Bolin is only doing this to help people and he has the innocent heart of a child of being good, it's just that life isn't black and white when you're in the military. I like that they put this couple in this position. We have both sides of being helpful, and eventually we'll find BALANCE (tm) in the end. They weren't feeding the hungry out of the good of their own hearts. Yeah she can , he's going along with it, supporting it.
so I finally got to watch the episode... and while I don't find it to be a bad episode... I feel the whole bolin situation is a little stupid... especially with the air nation stretched so thin I can't really think of a reason why bolin wouldn't be with opal helping her when all that was given was he is doing what he is currently doing because he is "helping people" the exact same thing he could be doing with his GF without making it a long distance relationship :/
I mean heck... having an earth bender going around with the air nation people, to help them would help the villagers trust them, and he could aid in reconstruction. Thus I feel it's all just done for absolutely pointless drama :/
It seems to me like they are using mercs ( bandits) to get people to join with whatever weird government thing they got going on.It's... his orders? He's still doing good out there and wants to help people.
Nothing much he can do outside of quitting which depending on the situation he doesn't feel like he has to do because he hasn't seen the bad side of Kuvira. Again, the morality at this point from him is not being questioned, she even says that largely she's mad because he's hanging with them.
That's not exactly what I meant. By presence I really just meant a villainous air to them. Unalaq never had that.

I would like to see the time line on how long he has been there, because if its years. Either he is a complete idiot ( which is completely possible) , or he is willfully ignorant. The latter making for much better television considering.

It's possible that Kuvira hasn't actually shown her "evil side" just yet. Unifying the Earth Kingdom has probably taken a lot of time, and despite her obvious ulterior motives (to the audience, anyway), Kuvira has helped a lot of people. I think Bolin just hasn't seen a problem yet, and views her actions as stern, yes, but also really beneficial for a lot of people. To him, she poses no real threat to the Earth Kingdom.
Until she takes it too far, he won't see her in a different light.
Kuvira hasn't shown her powerlevel?
She doesn't have too, two seconds of thought would have brought anyone to that conclusion.
" Uh.. Commander maam sir, isn't odd that every time we try to unite a territory epically one that's been resisting, it conveniently gets attacked before and/or after our arrival followed by compliance from said territory. "
" Eat your peas bolin "
" I have to go to a meeting with these nice people"
" those people look like bandits"
" They are , we are about to give them work, make them better people "
" what kind of work"
"odd... jobs "
