The pocket infinity bounty is killing me. Had saved up 8 fusion rifles for dismantling, and were getting short with space in my inventory, so decided to dismantle a couple. Afterwards I realized, weren't at the right part of the bounty. So now I'm stuck at 2, and after some depressing number crunching I realized that it's a 4.17% chance for a blue engram to turn out a fusion rifle. Which, in theory, would mean 200 engrams for 8 fusion rifles. Gunsmith, help me out.

Please.

My first Exotic (Sunbreakers^^ Sorry to my fellow Warlocks who wanted something different from Xur, but I needed them^^) and my first Exotic bounty (Bad Ju Ju). I am now 26, but am still rocking only rare weapons. Is the Vault of Glass doable on rare weapons, or should I wait a week or two until I fill out my load-out with Legendary gear from the Vanguard?

I am 27 and only have rare weapons. The group I play with basically says the raid is impossible without legendary+.

I've been trying to find a group for the raid and it's taking a lot longer than a few minutes.

What have you done exactly? Have you tried Destinylfg.net?

Have you looked for other posters who are also asking for a group and messaged them to build one yourself (I can see dozens of posts in the raid thread here, and multiple people asking on lfg.net right now).

It really doesn't take long at all.

I have used this forum, because I shouldn't have to sign up for new communities just to play my game.

Even I can't find a group on here or that website to run the weekly strike, everyone is either different levels or want me to use a mic. Been looking 10 minutes now, longer than having matchmaking would take. It's a fucking joke really.

This seems like a reasonable request.

Lol I just dismantled 3 Legendary and 2 Exotic items for my level 4 Warlock. Needed the Shards so now I've got 14 Shards all together. Probably gonna take me to level 29 now.

Thanks^^ That's fine, I like running Strike playlists with my brothers any how, so I will do that to grind out the 300 marks I need for a Legendary Special and Heavy. The Vault can wait^^

If you want another person to run some of that stuff, just add me. PSN name is in my profile. Also, I just found out yesterday that the Vanguard Strikes are matchmaking... d'oh!

I did nightfall but still need to do weekly..on 28 of course

Add me HainesGTO PS4

I feel like I'm missing out on not playing Nightfall and Raids on the PS4.

I'm a lvl 28 Sun bro, add me up if you are planning on tackling either. I should be more than ready by 8PM EST.

PSN: blewjayy

Why? I don't own one or need one. The strike requires no communication at all. I'd be able to matchmake without a mic
PS4 comes with a mono set though. Any cell phone set with a mic like Apple earbuds work too. Not the best quality but this game is a lot better when you can talk to your team.

Your choice. Fair enough.

Edit: you said weekly strike. Fine, that definitely needs MM and doesn't require a mic at all.

Yes I've played the game for like 30+ hours now and I have no idea who The Hive are. Or The Fallen. Or The Soonandsoforth. I do know I'm a "Guardian". Of what I don't know.
I get the Hive and the Fallen mixed up a lot too. All I remember is that Fallen = dregs, vandals, captains/wizards, and Hive = acolytes, thralls, knights. (...right?) I certainly don't remember where I've ever fought them in one spot of the map versus another.

Vex and Cabal are different enough that I can spot them right away, but yeah, a lot of the finer details all blur together.

right?! I'm a hunter too maybe I didnt give a good enough chance but my goal is to not need recovery.

Max armor all the way. As a fellow hunter I am relying on my agility to escape hairy situations, and my superior aim and weapons to neutralize threats before they become a threat. I don't want to be able to recover from hits quickly i want to be able to take more hits.

I posted on destinylfg yesterday looking 4 people to raid with and got about 7 friend requests within a minute. You don't have to sign up for anything, it's quick as shit. People complaining about not being able to find a group aren't trying hard enough.

And if you can't be bothered to find a group and would rather complain, well that's your problem.

The raid is oging to probably take you a few horus at least on your first run. Takign the time to find people you'll enjoy that experience with is probably a very good idea.

It's also good to set aside time in advance to do this to make sure every member of the team is able to commit for the required time period.

You need to be able to quickly communicate sometimes in the Raid. You don't need to chat, but you do need to communicate. It's not impossible without it if only one or two of you don't have one, but I can understand people not wanting to run with a non-mic user.

You really should invest in a mic for this kind of content.

If you're level 27+ and have a mic then you can find a group very quickly. People do it all the time so you can to.

I'm talking about the strike, I know the raid needs communication, strikes do not. I've got one space free still if anyone wants to join? Psn is kill_switchPWD.

Wizards are Hive.

I hope all the dialog cut backs and game changes made over the year kick bungie in the butt to really fix these problems, the game as a whole is an empty shell, if only someone in the game could give a heads up or even mention a race or two to fill the player in instead of just allowing you to become a guardian and go at it alone, some team work humanity has, huh.

I can see people wanting to use a mic, but I don't. I'm only level 22 though and haven't tried the weekly strike. If you want though and are on PS4: jen867530nine

Edit: I also have never played either of the Mars strikes. Hehe. I'll still do it though it may take a few tries.

I read that and made the edit just as you posted.

Finding players for the strike is really easy on Destinylfg.net. I know it annoys some peopel using third party rescources when it should be in game, but every single time I've used that site to find another member for an in game activity I've had a response in minutes.

Now that I'm level 20 what's the best method to level up? I find it difficult to group up for the heroic dailies and I'm a bit too low-level for the heroic strike, is there still a "loot cave" to grind in?

Or is it just grinding the strike playlist and crucible that are my options?

Start collecting as many bounties a day as you can, and farming missions on Cosmodrome etc. Once you level up your Vanguard/Crucible/Insert faction here enough, you can buy Legendary equipment with higher light marks.

Cheers. Cosmodrome because it's the lowest levels i.e. easiest?

People definitely would call for nerfs. It happens all the time. And we've already seen Bungie change the way engrams work due to complaints and they have plans for adjust incoming and outgoing damage to Strike bosses.
no they won't. matchmaking in the raid = people will call for nerfs? That's stupid.
also, again, bungie doesn't listen, look at pvp "balance".

I would just play the game instead of trying to grind one spot. If rng screws you while you grind the same area over and over it's going to compound the frustration.

Play some strike playlists.
Do some pvp.
Complete daily bounties and do some patrol missions.
Maybe do a little material farm/chest runs in between (you will need plenty of mats when you upgrade your gear later on).

Start working now toward the faction rep of your choice. Remember that the 3 independent factions will gain rep from both pvp and pve if you wear their cosmetic item (so the rep level will level twice as fast if you play both modes), but you can only spend crucible marks to actually buy their gear.

Also, check the OP for links to Hawk's levelling guides.

Hit Queen rank 2, joyful pink/purple goodness.

Doesn't seem level like the other factions once class item equipped though. :-(

This Chest evolved magically through the Light of the Traveler, it believed, this one gained the power of Hovering following in the footsteps of Warlocks, also gave me good drops before vanishing forever.... until next respawn

Got 2 Blue Engrams, Special Ammo, 8 Iron Shards

If anyone is having problems with the Tank on the Weekly/Nightfall check this out.

Have an Arc sniper and shoot at it while its still in the air, seems to do big damage.

That hasn't happened for me. I have to go back up outside and travel around for 10-20 seconds.
You only need legendary rocket launchee with arctic damadge. I haven't even fully upgraded mine and have never seen a boss drop so fast. I swear to god it took only 7 rockts and he was gone.

The Crucible is pretty insufferable at the moment. The lag is horrible, I constantly get match made with shit players and I just saw a dude with zero zone captures in Control get Hawkmoon.

Honestly do whatever is fun for you. Start looking at the gear you have what crucible and vanguard rank you are versus where you want to be and what stuff you want to buy, then start working towards that. For instance I knew I want legendary gear obviously, so I joined a faction and started playing strikes and crucible matches, etc to earn rep for that faction and then I could just buy my gear from there. Act like Legendary drops don't exist, is the best credo to live by in this game. Instead map out what you want to buy and then figure out how you are going to get to that point. Also the weekly strikes will get you strange coins and as will crucible matches (far more random mind you). To which you can use to buy exotic gear.

Also just because you are on the cusp of leveling up doesn't mean you should dump valuable resources into doing so immediately. Stick to your gameplan. Like just this week I was 1 light level point from level 26 but instead of blowing my materials and money and all that on upgrades and such to get to 26 I waited to see what Xur would have. Turns out he had exotic gauntlets so I then bought boots from the New Monarchy vendor. I could have bought guantlets early in the week from the New Monarchy to level up, but imagine the disappointment when in a matter of days Xur's only exotic equipment for my class is guantlets. So I waited and now instead of being level 26 I jumped to level 27, close to 28, and have a much clearer idea of where to go from here.

All this is to say you are almost constantly at odds with yourself. Do I upgrade this now, or should I wait for something better? So just have fun, and stick to your plan. I will say this, I hate farming relic iron so I try to avoid equipment with that upgrade materiel.

Oh you want Ascendant Shards? How about we give you Energy instead. >_>

I must have about 50 Energy now and I have no use it. But I really need Shards yet I'm never receiving them. It's been that long since I received any I decided to dismantle exotic and legendary gear i was saving for my Warlock.

Seriously.

It will get put in, I have faith!

I'm so close to giving up on this game.....I wanted so desperately for this to at least have multiplayer on par with Halo 2 and 3 or at least a leveling system that relied on XP.

Map design was far superior in Halo 2.

I think if they made some amazing maps and gave us a no-super and limited heavy/special ammo mode it could come close.

Oh, and improved the netcode.

I really like Crucible, but it's not a patch on H2.

All right. Got both Bad JuJu and Thorn bounties to the stage where I need Crucible kills. So far I'm averaging about 40 points towards Void kills and about 1000 points toward kill "points" each match. Guess I know what I'm doing this morning.
