So I played my first ever Crucible multiplayer match post-alpha. Is it my lack of skills or does the level of the players actually factor into the game? I'm level 7 and was getting mopped up by level 27s. I only got one assist and one kill (thanks to my super). Seems like it isn't balanced very well.

What is everyone's favorite Warlock Bond from The Speaker? I have 25 notes of light and since Xur doesn't have anything good I'm going to get one. I can't decide between Spirit of the Vulture or Seal of the Twin Eagle.

Spirit of The Vulture changes colour, that was neat enough to sway me.
The Queen's Guard bond is neat too

Hey, I'm a level 20 Warlock with 4 Queen's Kill Orders looking to group up with some GAFers. Is anyone willing to group up and help me out?

Start the mission, if it's not Restoration earth mission, orbit and try again. Won't use your mission orders. Restoration can be solo in 5 mintutes easy : spam Fusion Grenades while in Sunsinger on the archonte

Man the Queen's event was such a waste. Ranked up to 3 and got... nothing. The only things that become available are another purple shader with a black tiger stripe pattern that you can barely see and a bunch of crappy rare weapons. Thought there would be some reward like all the other factions, some legendary weapons, something.

2 hunters dealing with the Oracles can charge each other's super. Never ending golden gun.

Didn't think of that, nice! That said, I haven't tried hard, but on normal it felt like we were out pacing the Oracles and waiting for them to spawn at the exit. Do they spawn quicker in hard, or if you kill them quicker?

Damage and armour is normalised.

All weapon and class perks are active.

A new player will have a disadvantage against a well practised high level with everything upgraded.

However, you can hold your own with a green Shingen against a Suros Regime user easily if you're good.

The imbalance is not game breaking, and as you power up yourself (which will happen quickly) it will even out.

They likely have better weapons and better unlocks. Honestly, just PvE it until your character is more levelled up. You'll unlock better abilities not only on your characters supers, but also on weapons.

Do I have to attack Phogoth?
I can barely walk out that entrance to the hall.

You don't.

We just ran into the room, danced around ogre face, ignored the wizards unless they were an immediate danger, and killed the knights, acolytes, and thrall ASAP.

It took 15 minutes.

When we camped the room it took 45-60 minutes. If you have to camp the room try to concentrate on everything but the wizards.

Whichever way you choose just ignore the boss.

They all are if you have good weapons, but the easiest way is to keep returning to Orbit until it gives you the first Earth mission. You don't use your token until the actual item drops.

Take solar weapons to deal with shielded Shanks. The rest is easy.

Awesome thanks! I've got some pretty decent weapons covering each damage type so hopefully it should go ok :D

Don't know but I'm looking for someone to do that or for a raid group!

If you wanna group up add me on PSN - Soukdestroyer199 :)

Sorry to tell you but it's not balanced well at all. And I play crucible a lot... Get a decent shotgun, punch as much as possible and use those grenades

Wow. Thanks for posting. I was thinking about going for this to see if there would be a reward...what a waste of time.

I'm doing the last part of the exotic bounty for the hand cannon right now.
The summoning pits strike on the moon.

This is freaking hard. I hate wizards.

It is hard but not impossible. A good equipped team can make mincemeat of a wizard in seconds. Remember to color match those shield colors with the proper weapons.

There are two multiplayer games I've played a lot of recently being this and The Last of Us. They handled team balancing completely different ways...

The Last of Us just did it randomly with no balancing based on player skill. This made for a lot of blowouts and "boring" games in some peoples eyes if all the good players got matched on one team. Destiny is the exact opposite. If you're good you constantly get put on a team with bad players. Gotta say I vastly prefer the way Last of Us does it. Hardly ever win a match in Destiny when I go in crucible solo and have a team of randoms.... Cant even remember the last time a random on my team got more kills than deaths.

Pretty annoying especially since the enemy team is getting more supers than they should be and kill you with them...

It's no big deal. I'm back doing PVE for awhile. I just thought I would clean up those bounties by playing Crucible for awhile and it didn't work out well. I'll go back once I get all my skills.

Vault of Glass sure does feel like a different game, huh? I beat it with a group of friends this week (over three nights!) and spent the whole time wondering why the rest of Destiny isn't that good.

Yep. The strikes could be more diverse even for 3 people. Also there should have been more than 1 raid from the start.

I watched IGNs little video on where Xur is this weekend, and was kinda surprised to see that the guys lvl 20 character had almost all purple gear and an ass load of engrams to decode, including 2 more purples....

I'm lvl 23 and haven't had 1 purple, I only seem to ever get rares. Am I doing something wrong? I do bounties and strike playlists, etc. Made me sad watching that video.

Wow, can't believe you managed that.

Could have been an alt and he could have played his main for a long time.

Like me.

Too many times. :(

I really think the verticality of it is what sets it apart. The Templar part is still just waves of vex, but with the snipers up on those pillars, that cranks it up a level without just being "more" mobs. Also, jumping off that cliff was something that easily could have been done outside of the raid as well, but wasn't. There was a sense of scale that I din't get from the overworld since you really couldn't go up into any of the structures on Earth or Mars, and the moon was pretty much just all underground.

Venus did start to show that scale, even before entering the Vault. Probably was one of the later planets to be designed once they really got a grasp of the tools and what they wanted the game to be.
