You can definitely do nightfall with a Lvl 20 Blue weapon as long as it matches the elemental damage modifier for the week. I went through my first with a blue fusion rifle and sniper rifle without a lot of problems. Just bring ammo synths.

Nightfalls have incredible rewards, buff your XP and rep gains for the week, and if you pay attention to the week's Burn modifier you can be effective even with basic rare weapons. Save up your marks and buy your first legendary primary making it exactly the one you want, and run Nightfalls instead. You might GET a legendary primary or exotic from it.

The raid is also way more about communication and execution than raw DPS output, though legendary/exotic loadouts do count for more here than in the nightfall.

Okay, so this week is about learning new shit. I just found out yesterday that the Vanguard Strikes are matchmaking, not friends-list only, and you can attack the Nightfall with rare weapons. Even though it states Very Hard? (Is Nightfall matchmaking, too?) Thanks for the posts, Guardians.
 
Doing strikes are so awesome now, you sometimes get additional rewards after the rewards screen. I got a legendary engram for a special weapon and got the Prudence II sniper out of it.
 
Any one doing the Raid tonight? Like in an hour or two? Level 27 Titan with Crest of Alpha Lupi & leveled legendary weapons. And I definitely HD have a mic.

I bought the Emerald Coil, so it turned my jet trail a nice green color. Also, going from the uncommon Sparrow to this one was quite a noticeable speed increase. I actually quite like it.

Our clan leader bought these yesterday. He was so proud of himself, pulling donuts and stuff in the divide. We all gave him a big "who cares" much to his disappointment. LOL. It is noticeably faster than my Cavalier though. PEACE.

I'm not sure if this has been posted already, but I haven't seen it so I figured I'd share it. I was messing around in the Vault of Glass yesterday because I was really interested in exploring the Templar's Well area.

I remembered that last week, after completing the raid, we started it on hard mode to see if we could collect the first chest. We weren't able to get anything but I realized that I still had the checkpoint, so I went back in by myself last night.

After a bit of exploring, I found the area in the video, and I did not get there through a glitch. I explored it pretty thoroughly and did not find anything, but I have already completed the raid this week so maybe that affects things.

The group I play with went to the location of the supposed 5th chest and we did not find anything either, but again, this was after we already completed the raid. So I'm wondering if there's anything to this area, or if it was just scrapped prior to release? Is it possible that there is a chest here under certain circumstances?

And another thing I wanted to bring up is the matter of exploring. At this point in the raid, it seems like everyone has either completed the raid and is speeding through it now, has watched video of the raid and is copying it exactly, or is going in with someone who has already completed it and following directions.

So I'm wondering, are there any other unused areas we haven't found yet because we're all following the quickest path from A to B, and are there possibly any remaining raid chests that we are all missing?

I apologize if the video quality isn't great. I used what I had available to me. And also, I'm not posting this video to get subscribers or anything. I don't have any other videos posted and I have no intentions of being a "youtuber".

It's likely there's nothing to this area, but if there is, maybe someone else can figure out what it is.

I have Lv28 Hunter ready to go at LV29 for the Banner and new 4-bullet Golden Gun helmet ready for the task

My Lv26 Warlock can theoretically go to Lv29 as well (2 Raid-Level gear) but I need a freight shipment of the Haddronic Essence fro that task :/

And my Titan is not ready for the Banner (Lv 18, ready to be Lv24 once going over Lv20, but he is only being prepared for the Rading the Shards and Weapons)

I have great guns, almost maxed Suros and Hard Light and Monte Carlo ready to be used in the beginning phase

And I really hope some Iron Banner equipment at Merchant will be Raid-Like (with Light potential of 30) and I will be happy
 
What the heck are Material Exchanges in the Tower? For example, I'm looking at a vendor right now that has Spinmetal Material Exchange. And then it lists "Spinmetal 62/50."

Okay, so what am I trading my Spinmetal for?

50 materials for I believe 5 marks, 20 rep glimmer? I use it for crucible marks, but it's easier to get these things by playing. PEACE.

There are few things in Destiny amongst all the problems the game has that really annoy me. One is getting killed by a Bladedancer super, unless you know the hunter is coming and have a super ready to try and kill them whoever it is can just eat through most of your team in one go if you are generally around each other. The other supers that instant kill besides the hunter ones rely on people being grouped right next to each other, and if you miss or hit something else then that chance is gone, a hunter just jets around auto-aim stabbing anything near them.

I also feel like of all the auto rifle deaths I get they are either by the Suros Regime or the Shingen-E, you can try to use other rifles but will likely die in any sort of 1v1 run in with an enemy with either of these guns. I had to just use a Shingen in the end to compete at all, which then ruins the point of giving us options. I don't know who at Bungie made some of these PVP decisions, but as someone who generally plays BF and CoD with friends as out MP games and was hoping Destiny would bring a multi-platform Halo MP experience to other platforms I can't tell you how disappointed I am.

/rant.
I feel a bit better now, I had some awful games yesterday with a friend and I got real tired of bladedancers.

I can't tell if Bungie purposely made it so that the community has to share info ala the Souls games, but for whatever reason, it's definitely growing a pretty helpful community. It seems like we're learning new stuff every day.

Huge Tip!: If you crouch against a low box, when you aim down your sights, you'll look over the box. This was mind blowing to me after finding this out.

Can you go the opposite way? Skipping most of the area and going straight into the disappearing platforms?
