That's not what endgame is about for me, at all. You can get to 29 without relying on RNG.

Like, the rep..? I have had vanguard and crucible at 2+ for weeks, i'm not thinking about grinding factions at all...

What's fun is subjective and I always do pretty terribly in games that require you to use random drops to progress. this can be frustrating to me. i like being able to get exactly what I want and have some control over it.

Oh...your definition of endgame is...a personal one.

That's cool. I respect that. Guess I was using the well.....general term of 'endgame.'.

Enjoying the game much more with the loot tweeks. Still haven't fount a purple/yellow weapon of any type but at least I got all the armor I need (well still rocking a queen chest but what can you do), warlock fire gloves was last thing I needed there. At least now feels like I got a shot any time I turn in a blue.

Still the rng loves my brother and hates me

Yesterday was a good day for legendaries for me, 2 from Tiger Strike rewards, 2 from random enemies while doing bounties and 2 from leveling my cryptarch...They were all garbage and dismantled all but 1..but atleast I'm getting them.

so The Queens Wrath stuff makesyou replay story missions, but is there any way to do the story missions without all the cinematics afterwards? Seems sorta clumsy if not.

Funny how end game is all about progressing randomly ._.

There's only so far the legendaries from the factions is going to take you. When the expansions come...this gulf is going to grow farther.

Besides, it's more fun to get loot than to grind a faction. Fact.

Don't know about the "progressing randomly" point since the way you get stronger from beginning to end is at least structured to the point you can see what you should do.
1-20 your gaining xp.
20-24 any blue level 20 gear will do in regards with Light.

The only reason there's a wall between 24-28 is because Bungie never told you why you should care about the vendors. If they told you why you should level them up you only ever need to grind the marks and not the rep since you can do bounties in conjunction with doing the story.

From there though it is random. You need to do the raid and hopefully get the raid guns and or armor to make subsequent runs easier until 30 in which you can try out the Hard mode for the Mythocast.

this game needs transmog. BADLY
#1 change that needs to happen

yeah this is all right though at the extreme end, you can hit 29 purely from non-raid gear.

Once you get the on screen icon saying bounty complete just exit back to orbit before the timer runs out.

Attempted to do the Raid for the first time tonight. We managed to reach the last Boss and got him to around 50% but had to stop as it was getting late.
The raid is such a different experience to the rest of the game. It was a lot of fun and a great challenge.

Thanks a lot to gaffer Killroyskbg for guiding us through. 5 of us in the group had never done it before and he did a great job.
Also thanks to Virus, not sure your gaf name, for helping us get through the raid as well. Played very well.

Can someone explain to me what the attack rating means? Like, what is the difference between a HC with 242 attack and one with 248?

Really disappointed that there is no built in clan system like in Halo 2. Would make doing the dailies, vogs and nightfall raids so much easier.

End game in well, games like this mean one of two things-High end PVP, or Raids in PvE. So for destiny, end game would be doing hard mode of VoG and getting fully geared up that way.

For PvP....since there is no separate loot category for PvP, endgame pvp is tied to PvE, when the Iron Banner/Mercury[Osiris] events come around. Which is...well, essentially tied to endgame pve.

Which is why if you're endgame is getting to 29, that's cool. I respect that.

Along these same lines... i've been wondering - if a hand cannon with 11 shots is 300 damage and an assault rifle with 36 shots is 300 damage ... is the idea that that 300 damage will come out over the length of a full clip? So individual shots from the hand cannon will hit harder but you have more chances to spread the damage out or make mistakes with the auto rifle?

Yeah, I'm starting to think impact is what really matters. On other forums I read that attack rating only determines how much damage you can do to higher level mobs. Same level or lower level mobs, attack doesn't mean anything and damage comes down to impact.

So I recently got to 27 on my Hunter, only one legendary weapon. Should I try to finish my bounty for the Pocket Infinity before I try the Vault of Glass for the first time?

Anyone doing hard raid?
Level 29 Hunter reporting in on the PS4

I love this game to death, gameplaywise. But the lack of content is down right criminal. I don't even care that the story doesn't make sense. Just give me more stuff to do.

Void weapons have the most utility in VoG. PI is a decent weapon overall, but it won't be a difference-maker in the raid.

Is it true there's a bug where if you've played the raid (but haven't completed it) and then beat the weekly nightfall strike, it resets your raid progress?

fuck me I just bought 2 legendary armor pieces from my titan vanguard and was paying attention to int, dis, str and not the bonus and I grabbed the one for scout rifle reload faster and pulse rifle ammo and I don't use either one.

UGH

Damn =/

That's why you read all upgrade abilities three times just to make sure it's the piece you want

i don't really know what you're getting at about "my endgame," you mean what will keep me interested after seeing all the content? I do want to do the hard mode raid, i've also become pretty interested in collecting all the exotics. you can do hard mode of VoG at 29, one of many design decisions that cause me to consider a lot more than the eventual 29-30 to be "endgame" in destiny.

i'm allowing randomness to negatively affect my experience at little as possible in this game and it's worked out pretty well so far, of course your mileage may vary.

I need weekly heroic mission done, level 28, I need my +9 Strange Coins, Please HALP!
Pee Es Four!

Reposting! On PS4!
Hey guys, all of my friends are out or not playing tonight, and I wanted to get the Weekly done for some Strange Coins... I managed to solo to the boss but I just get overwhelmed with the adds during the fight (got him down to 2/3 before shit went bad) so I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me at the boss for the Weekly Heroic!

PSN is BurningNad, just send a friend request and I'll add and invite. Gonna keep banging my head against this. I'm a 25 Hunter. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I don't have a mic, but that shouldn't be an issue.

....I was simply explaining the difference between your definition of endgame and well, the general definition of endgame(Which relies on Randomness.) And no, I don't mean what will keep you interested in seeing all the content. It's great that you have your own set rules for your own endgame, but for alot of people endgame means random loot drops. I know many a player who wants the Vex Mythoclast, for example.
