Is LA GAF ok? It's hotter than the sun.

Lemme leave my air conditioned room to go get the mail. I'm sure it can't be that h-

My power bill was $136 last month, thanks to AC. It'll probably be bad again this month.

that + there was a high speed truck chase this morning. Truck flew off road..

Like a enterprise rental truck or something.
Oh snap! Where was this? Traffic was a disaster yesterday (and pretty bad today).

Power bill is gonna love today, ac is probably gonna be on all day and its set at 81.

On a not hot day it can get up to 90+ without the ac on inside. It's nuts how my house traps heat.

It's October, this shit fuckin suuuuuuuuuuuucks!

On a side note, my wife and I rescued a baby kitten yesterday that looked like it was about to die of heat exhaustion. He got spooked and climbed up into the bottom of a car engine, but we pulled that little fucker out of there. He's so cute. Our neighbor took him in for us. Man fuck the heat, you almost killed a kitten! Jack ass.

I went out for a bike ride at 10am and it was hot and windy as hell so I cut the ride short. If this keeps up LA is gonna burn soon.

Went out just now and its a lot nicer, no idea what is going on with the weather.

It's gonna be bad through the weekend.. and gradually soften up and we will.. MAYBE see fall weather (which I guess means under 90 degrees) in the middle of next week

Moved out to OC in July from Arizona. This shit's not nearly as bad as there, but I've already acclimated to the cooler weather and these heat waves are pissing me the fuck off.

Too bad we can't share the heat/cold a little better. Last night it was minus 9C in Edmonton. Right now it's +8C

Last year the first snowfall was Oct 1st.

It's a "cool" 87 in Torrance today, but it's 100 in Arcadia, where I live.

$141 for me last month....thank fuck I'm going to Big Bear for the weekend.
The funny thing was some solar panel guys came by a few months ago and said that they could install panels super cheap if my electric bill was over $80/month because of some government program. At the time, though, my bill was around $50/month or less.

And then this happened.

Ya I am glad that the South Bay is mostly spared from the most brutal heat, and the beach is just a quick drive away for practically guaranteed high 70's to low 80's.

LA heat is fucking paradise compared to New York or Washington DC heat which is a swamp by comparison because of humidity

I take back complaining about this, LAGAF again has no room to complain about weather

You weren't in LA two weeks ago. It was 110 with 70%+ humidity for almost ten days straight.

Waterbeds for everyone.
Sweat water beds

"how often do you wash your bed sheets" GAF thread reference.

I'll never complain about LA weather outside of the appropriate LA GAF threads, I can go to the cool beach at any time, and I live in SoCal, so obv I won't complain. But, the same thing that tells people to say us LA complainers should fuck off about complaining about weather, should tell you to shut the fuck up about complaining because you still live where it's acceptable to complain in the first place. Move homie.

Location, Location, Location.

Its fucking October, what the fuck SoCal?
Whut?

After August it's usually really hot up into November, sometimes even December. I call it Fall Heat or Summer Pt. 2. Then it cools a bit in January to March, and steadily increases from then.

Most of us don't live by the beach, and it's reasonable to complain about 100 degree weather with or without awful humidity.

44 here in Toronto but feels like 39. I'm desperately missing patio season already.

I'll take crazy heat and humidity over the cold any day.

When does it end?

Southern California will continue to be very hot, and very dry for years to come, book it. Move north to escape it, most of this state is gonna be hot and dry for a long time.

It's been rough recently, and I don't expect it to change. It's been Summer for about 6 months, then Spring/Fall for the other 6 months for a while. Winter never really existed, now I am guessing Summer will be about 9 Months and Spring/Fall will be 3 months.

I would move to Northern Cali instantly if my employer would also move! :(
