PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

I know, right? It's not a popular opinion around here, but maybe I was at a different time of my life when I played the first game.

I can see the improvements, but almost everything, I felt it was more appealing on the first game.

I feel like it might of been what I call the "shock" factor. You were trying something new, even with improvements DR2 is essentially more DR.

Guess it's like how I played P3P first, and although P4G IS the superior game gameplay wise, I still prefer P3 over it. It's fine not to have the same opinion as everyone else.

Played some of Silent Hill yesterday and really like what I've played so far :). The dark atmosphere, the solid controls (they aren't that bad; it takes a bit to get used to them but the town is more then big enough to handle them, and the combat is very solid when using guns.....but melee attacks are crap X() and the VO so far is solid too.

Want to give this a shot before attempting to play the latter games and gotta say, it is doing a good job making me interested in them now :D.

Can't wait for Tuesday to come; Pix the Cat, Rainbow Moon and my 10$ PSN credit should be coming all on that day :D.

This will be a great week for Vita I think :).

I wanted to ask to those who played through all of SK Burst, I played through the Hanzo storyline but not Hebijo, the game got a bit too repetitive and I just stopped playing /: I played the Japanese version of Shinovi Versus, but I couldn't understand jack obviously.

Do the events in Hebijo's storyline in Burst matter or will I be fine going into SV with just Hanzo's point of view completed?

I had that same question and I heard that it's wise for you to play the Hebijo side before Shinovi Versus. I haven't done it myself yet, but I'm sure I'll have to sometime this month before I get SV.

After all the hype surrounding Danganronpa 2, I found it to be rather... Underwhelming. Oh well, I'm sure Another Episode will spark my interest again. First game is still the best for me. Time to move on.
I haven't beaten it yet but I agree. The first game is comfortably better.

Hebijo is basically an alternate take on the events, but the girls backstories as well as the ending is important to the overall story. Whether any of that matters in the upcoming Shinvoi Versus I have no clue lol. Also until that final chapter, Hebijo is much shorter and easier than the Hanzo side and also has quite a bit less story sections I believe. What's there is very good though and I actually enjoyed it just as much as Hanzo, if not more. Especially cause of Yomi, Hikage, and that ending.

Been playing alot of Vita games recently and got my first Platinum trophy ever on Gravity Rush! Playing through Tearaway and Project Diva f now.

I think I'm gonna try getting the 100 dollar promo since Shadow of Mordor is soldout everywhere over here. When do we get the money back?

It's a shame that the Wall of Shame is no more. Oh well.

Congratulations! Time to get that Gravity Rush DLC and Tearaway platinum next!

Hah Tearaway platinum is next in my plans, making sure I get everything along the way. They make it really decent with that replay option also. Also how is the Gravity Rush DLC? I see they are like 3-4$ each. One thing I wish they did with Gravity Rush was give an easier way to retry a challenge mission other than completely exiting out of it and reentering it, or having to wait for the clock to run down. It was getting annoying along with the really long load times to the point where I almost gave up on that first platinum, but I somehow pulled through. Load times just to retry these challenges sometimes would reach up above 30+ seconds which I haven't seen since I used to play that old Midnight Club game on the PSP lol.

Really loving Tearaway so far, on the Barn stage. Plus with Shinovi Versus coming out soon, my Vita is getting tons of love this fall lol

Gravity Rush DLC is completely worth it, trust me. You shouldn't worry about getting everything at first while playing Tearaway, because you can easily go back after you finish the game and see what you're missing.

Redeem it on US PSN. Keep in mind that only 20,000 players can participate so if the code gives you an error, possibly all slots are taken.

Wait this one code would work for 20k people? Interested in giving the game a try, but I don't wanna take it if it's the only code haha -___-

It's great. Plays excellent, performs flawlessly. Great art and music if you can appreciate it. Mechanically it is basically 1:1 Pikmin AFAIK.

Don't overlook it.

I will add this to my watch list

Gamefly (yep still using it lol) has sent me Dangan Ronpa so I can finally figure out if this is the best game ever or hype. (hoping for best)

Pretty sure all the spots were taken a while ago, they gave it out like 3-4 days ago. I tried redeeming mine on Saturday and it gave me an error.

Why wouldn't you?

Yep. Just tried it and it's invalid.

Yeah same I just tried it out now and got an error. Seems pretty interesting letting you input your own character into DBZ, even if I'm not that big on DBZ haha.

Also does anyone who's played it before or know how the multiplayer in Shinovi Versus is gonna work? I'm gonna need more PSN friends to battle, my Yomi will rule over all!

Decided to start watching Another Episode translated playthrough. At least I have something to do during the most boring classes.

I watched someone stream it a while ago and it looked fun, even though he seemed like he had no idea what was going on. Still have to buy Danganronpa 2, but 40€ is too much.

Man, got back into Borderlands 2 for the past week or so because of the Destiny hype/nohype and release of the Pre-Sequel soon, and I realized something kind of sad. I think I hate playing games with other people now. I played through all of BL2 co-op with my brother this summer, and I am having so much more fun playing through now solo. Same experience with Diablo 3, I like it so much more alone. I just like going at my own pace and not worrying about what other people are doing, and more people doesn't seem to add to the fun at all for me anymore.

Feels weird, since I used to be so big into MMOs in college, and now I just want to play games by myself. I am getting more anti social as I get older.

Anyway, been switching between BL2 on PS3 and Vita (cross save is awesome also for cheesing drops) and I still find that game totally playable and enjoyable on Vita. Gyro aiming is awesome, and the framerate in nearly every area is totally fine. Even if the game got shitty reviews I'm glad it was made and glad I got it "free" with the vita slim I was gonna buy anyway.

Came home from college with a really nice surprise :D; my SR PSN Code got emailed XD!

Got Metal Gear Solid now and have 5 something left over for the store tomorrow; really nice news :).

Can't wait to see why this series is so great now (and I own the Vita Collection too; all the main line games except MGS4, Peace Walker and MGS V: TPP).

What game series have you missed out on O_o

Pro tip finish SotN first then play MGS1.

All you need for BL2 fun is Gaige....and Gaige.

And that's that.

....Sadly a few :(; Final Fantasy, Castlevanna, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid.

The good thing is that I own games in each of the series thanks to the Vita; got FFVII/FFIX from that FF sale a while back and gotten games the the rest of the series (CV, SH, MGS) from this recent sale (even got the Vita MGS Collection).

Really love what I played of SotN and Silent Hill so far and did enjoy the little I played of FFVII (though I'm considering deleting that and trying FFIX; seems to be the more impressive game of the two I guess :D). Didn't really like the MGS games though when I tried the Vita collection :(; both MGS2 and 3 didn't click with me for some reason....

Will give them a try after I play MGS 1 though :D.

Keep playing FF7. FF9 is much more appreciated if you played more of the past FF games first.
FF9 also has slow ass battles.

No longer valid, plus the network test ended a couple of days ago, I believe.

During the playthrough I did with my brother this summer I played as Gaige and he played as Kreig. Nothing was more satisfying than having him activate Buzz Axe Rampage only for Deathtrap to zap and kill the target he was going for before he got there, then watch him die because of it. By the end he REALLY hated deathtrap, and I loved it. Trolling my brother is the only aspect of playing co-op that was actually better vs playing solo haha.

Akiba's Trip is released on 10.10. in Europe, but that's a Friday. Store updates are on Wednesday. Is the digital version released earlier then?

I didn't know that DR2 is the more popular one. I finished both recently and liked the first one a bit better. Probably because I played it blind without knowing anything about them (neither story, not gameplay/genre), so the first one had a bigger impact. The second one felt like more of the same (with worse mini-games). Still fantastic game though, with great story and characters and I love both of them.

Guess it's like how I played P3P first, and although P4G IS the superior game gameplay wise, I still prefer P3 over it. It's fine not to have the same opinion as everyone else.
It was the opposite for me. I played P4G first and then P3P and liked it even more :D
But I do wish they would make a P3P Vita remake like Golden. The game could benefit immensely.

Is Sony ever going to release a color besides all black? This is the only thing keeping me from getting a slim, I want some other color variant and I can't justify 230$ from Amazon or even over 200$ via superufo or nippon yasan.

That blue white or khacki black!!!

I get this itch about every 2 months fyi...

I want to play Gravity Rush and Uncharted again with those crips triggers on the 2k.

Will do that then :). Thanks for the advice on the CV games from before though; really love what I'm playing of SotN so far :D.

Just to add SotN has some interesting 'bugs' if not tricks where you can start the main game still equipped with your strong weapons etc. you'd need to youtube or google them but this game has some very wacko stuff you can do in it.
