They do understand imo, just being deliberately ignorant of the real issue, they game on the XB1 in a lot of cases if you do a post history check, so its not really effecting them negatively. No one would defend this in any way unless they have nothing to lose.

Who cares about how the game looks, yes the PS4 version will be running at 900p and at 30fps to match that of the Xbox One. Why are people getting so angry, this is the equivalent of 2 brothers/sisters fighting over who gets the better toy. And the Mother (game developers) giving 2 equal toys to the children, and one of them (the one who wanted the better toy) throwing it out of the pram.

I'm getting this game still, and many others will as well.

Why did we buy new consoles?

It's not really about the resolution. It's about devs not pushing their games to take advantage of the strengths of the consoles. They can do more with the PS4, but they seem to be choosing not to.

And I know many people still will get the game. But I'm glad at least we have GAF and reddit speaking out and news sites showing that we will not just settle for this sort of thing to be the norm.

I care about it, and many others do. I didn't buy a system for 400$ over MS Xbone just to see games on my system looking like the weaker system version because of this stupid parity crap that UBI is spewing right now. Yeah I agree. Found that comment a bit...scary. I hope this isn't gonna scare devs to keep 1080p a priority. As I guess in some cases, 1080p may come at a cost of sacrificing things. It isn't a sub 1080p game on PS4 that annoys me. It annoys me that they're not pushing the system as far as they could (or simply gimping the game, which is even worse).

I want game devs to do what they're aiming for, but I suspect for people to be happy for it too, they will need to show something very special to make up for sub 1080p if that's the case.

I'm not a big tech spec guy myself - in fact I never really noticed any problems with 720p - but once I joined this site, I started looking for the differences between 720p and 1080p and pretty soon it became all I could see. Some ps4 owners don't care about it and probably understand the ps4 hardware much better than I do - but stubborn or not, 1080p is just something I expect now.
