Digital Only
All the Atelier+ localizations have been digital only so far.
Can't complain about more games for the vita. But the dusk trilogy games are pretty inferior to the arland games.
(Also, possibly Ar NoSurge Plus on the cards next for TKE?)
Huh, really? I've generally heard the opposite.
What makes them different from arland other than location and characters?
And this is why I haven't bought any of them. I would love to, but I demand physical versions. All the Atelier+ localizations have been digital only so far.

If we're talking about Gust localisations, then Atelier Shallie should be next after Ayesha+. Then the next one would probably either be Ciel Nosurge or Ar Nosurge+. Probably the former, if they intend to localise that one at all.
It sure is windy these days.
It's all preference. The Arland games had more of a focus on slice of life, "cute girls doing cute things". While the Dusk games have more of an overarching story line withand Ayesha in particular has a lot of emphasis on world building.the world slowly dying
The Arland games were also much more consistent than the Dusk games so far. The Dusk games have had multiple different alchemy systems, different battle systems and even different approaches to the time management aspect. Where as Arland kept it all the same, while building upon what the last game did.
What the Dusk games sorely lacks is the sense of adventure that the Arland games have (explore, plunge into the unknown) and the simple, but moving, coming of age storylines.
But what irks me in Ayesha and Escha is the boring cast of characters.
Hmm, the characters are part of why I really like the games. Guess I'll have to see.

Could be just meWe all know that this is how it works, i hope no one would try to deny it, anyone not buying a digital game only because it's digital is a big part of the problem.
Vita is hands down the worst choice for retail boxes lovers anyway, i wonder how many games retail boxes lovers buy on Vita.
Huh I might actually be interested in this then. Yet another reason to consider a Vita I guessIt's all preference. Any word on Shallie for North America?
I don't think KT has ever had two Atelier titles announced for localisation at the same time. It will probably be announced a week after Ayesha+ comes out. KT said something about Escha & Logy being the best selling Atelier in the west, so there's no way it isn't coming over.
Sauce? That would be absolutely lovely if true.
Unless they meant "the best selling Atelier we've ever released in the west", in which case that would not be so good since it's only up against Ayesha; Rorona Plus and the Vita ports.
Could be just me, but I really want to own my games. As long as there exists the possibility to import physical copies, I'm not going to buy a digital one. Well, that ain't 100% true, because I have bought both a few times.it is not
I have 33 games on my Vita right now. 30 of them are physical, and the digital games are the ones that either are digital games to begin with or whose English versions are digital only. I plan to buy about 5 more physical games that are already out, and have 3 more this year alone to look forward to. I also will go great lengths to get every game physically if possible. For example, I have imported the Asian versions of FFX and X-2 HD, because those have all of the major European languages on it and are in 2 seperate boxes and on 2 seperate cartridges.
There's just no time and money to buy a digital only release with all that in mind, which is why I only buy those titles when they're on a huge sale.

It was on twitter back when Escha & Logy released. And KTE actually handled the distribution of the Arland games for NISA in Europe, I'm pretty sure. So at least when it comes to Europe, they know what they're talking about.
