Do you like Classic GB/NES Tetris where the block hits the ground and stops or do you like the new rules about infinite spinning in place and storing pieces?

On the U.S. eShop, 3DS Tetris is like $10 and GB Tetris is the standard GB price ($4?). If you like Tetris a lot, just get both. :P
I'm more partial to classic style, so I'll prob. get the GB Tetris game.

Ultimate will prob. have the storing pieces, so I can grab that too....on 3DS, PC & PS Vita..

Swords and Soldiers 3D is an absolute mess and not worth putting on your system even if it was free. I was pretty excited when it was released and the I played it. It is a blurry, lag fest that runs at about 12fps. Deleted it.

Yea, its awful. Dont buy it. Buy Art of Balance instead.

Not sure where else to ask, anyone had a good experience with Wii Fit U? I had a balance board already so I got the Fit meter to claim the free* full version of the game, haven't used it much though. I only played it a bit, best I can tell only a few games let you play with gamepad + balance board only? Balance board + TV is a bit of an annoyance, as are wiimotes.

As KYB mentioned below, I am a huge fan of Wii Fit as a series, including Wii Fit U. I think it's a superb product and a real crime that that more people haven't gotten to experience this latest iteration.

As you suspected, I think most games recommend or require use of the TV. FWIW, this can be a bit tedious, but it really does make sense. If you're looking down at the GamePad, it's really going to mess with your neck big time to try to exercise simultaneously. Considering most of the exercises require looking at a screen while moving, it is going to be kindest to your neck to look at your TV and not down at your GamePad. I lost a considerable amount of weight using Wii Fit products and they've helped to keep me healthy and having a good time exercising during some harsh Vermont winters.

Here are a couple of my favorite activities:

Reposting from Miiverse:

Scuba search is amazing! I can see why people want an Endless Ocean for Wii U!

This parfait is pretty tricky!

Let me know if you have any other questions about the game!

I can't help you personally on this one, but maxcriden loves the game (exhibits A, B and C) and he's a gentleman of good taste. I've only played Wii Fit Plus but if that's anything to go by, it's a great game.

Aside from Gradius, the only other Konami shmup is Life Force, on both the 3DS & Wii U VC.

So yes, just Life Force = US name of Salamander.

Oh, I must have missed them adding it. I don't have a single shmup on Wii U yet, I think half my Wii VC library is shmups...

My apologies if this has already been asked and answered.

Is Pier Solar HD coming to the Wii U soon? I know it's out already on Sony consoles, but I would prefer to get it on the Wii U instead of PS3.

It's been submitted, they're just waiting for it to go through lotcheck before they can pick a date.

What about Castlevania Judgment?

That's not a Castlevania game.

Yay downloading the bayo2 demo
724.1mb

Smash wii u coming out 11/21? Says download at midnight 11/21 on the eshop.

dude, where have you been the last few days rofl. this was all over the internet. release date, bundles, for all regions^^

So are we definitely getting Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia this month as well?

You realize those are DS games and that there are no regular DS VC games available, right? This is not that hard to figure out really. If they suddenly started DS VC, it would not be with third party games and without a big announcement.

Anyone have a strong opinion on the color zen titles? I am interested and wondering if my 5 year old could actually play the kids one

Bought Blok Drop for 79p. Even if I only get 30 mins out of it, can't really lose at that price. Plus I'm helping the dev. Guacamelee also bought.

I really need to check the eShop more often. I didn't realize Mario Golf Advance Tour was on the service. Picked that up with Circle of the Moon and the Bayonetta 2 demo.

Side note/random question that I've been wondering for a while, Gulatica

Is there any particular rhyme or reason behind the casing that you use for things? I mean, we have:
GulAtiCa
ZaciSa
ZeNfA

EDIT: Wow I could have sworn that I was replying in the Bayonetta demo thread. I mean, that WAS what I was reading.

In an attempt to stay on topic - I just downloaded the digital version of Hyrule Warriors. It's siiiiick!

Blok Drop U is definitely worth a buy even at full price, although the rest of the dev's shovelware just looks gross.

Good call on Guacamelee too, anyone holding off should jump at it.

You realize I'm not the one who put sand in your vagina lady bits, right? I responded immediately afterwards saying I was mistaken. We can move on now.

Pardon my vulgarity.

Feels good to be playing my first Wii U game on the telly and stuff. ;)

Side note/random question that I've been wondering for a while, Gulatica

GulAtiCa
ZaciSa
ZeNfA

Well, many possible reasons.
1) I'm a little crazy
2) I came up with several of these names as a kid (mainly ZeNfA/ZanFa/ZNA), stuff like ZaciSa (or really ZaCiSa/ZaKiSa) in college. Somehow they just took with me and stayed in my mind. I do the uppercase in certain letters to represent how the word is suppose to be said/emphasize. Oddly GulAtiCa is unrelated to Battlestar Galactica (though may be a subconscious thing, though never seen the show). Came up with that in college too, mainly as an alt whenever my mane username (Bloodix) is taken.
3) Return to reason #1

I'm going crazy. How come the US doesn't have Pokemon TCG and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on the 3DS virtual console?? And the Donkey Kong Lands!! Wii U GBA's vc has had some awesome releases though.

Ah. The main reason I ask - and I don't mean this with any disrespect or anything like that at all - is that random/seemingly random casing on words tends to make me think of "pRoG kIdDiEs" in mid-90s internet chatrooms, which kind of invokes a mental shut-off of taking them serious.

That may just be me though >.>
(Not saying I don't take you serious. You're a good poster)

It's a metroidvania, it's just not an Igarashi game like all the others.

It does lean a little closer to the old formula in a couple different ways--the controls are closer to something you'd find in a 16-bit game, there's less emphasis on gear and stats and the animations/sprites are a lot less elaborate--but a lot of people enjoy it precisely because of those aspects.

It also suffered from being really difficult to see on the OG GBA, but that obviously won't be a problem on Wii U.

(Harmony of Dissonance, next week's game, has the exact opposite problem: IGA used a a lot of garish colours/highlights to make sure the game was easy to play on an OG GBA, but particular sprites/environments look hideous on anything with a backlight.)

Never got CotM back in the day, and I think it was because of the card gameplay. Going back and reading reviews of it and HoD and Castlevania X, think I'm going to 1) skip Castlevania X, 2) skip CotM, 3) get HoDissonance for the first time, and 4) get Aria of Shadow again (only new Castlevania game I got back on GBA, at the time).

I owned HoD and even completed it, but I traded it in at some point and remember nothing of it.

In fact, HoD, AoS and DoS all blend together for me now. If you were to show me a screenshot of one I very likely wouldn't know to which game it belonged. Despite beating/enjoying all three.
