Shinji Mikami's THE EVIL WITHIN |OT| Where's everyone going? Tango?

I copied and pasted from the review thread, looks like PDT.

That's actually wrong, it's up in an hour. I just asked because

Shinji Mikami decided that was the framerate for that game. That's a reason.
Now as for allowing it to go past that? Good on Bethesda for sharing those debug type options which allow it; it will make all the entitled PC master race fuckfaces happy and hopefully shut them up... though I'm sure they'll find something else to bitch about.

Maybe now they will complain about changes to the aiming camera instead?

Been reading through the impressions since last night while i'm in bed trying to sleep. I'm currently at CH8. YOU GUYS HAVEN'T SEEN SHIT YET. I have been reading on a few opinions that the game overstays it's welcome and I hope that's not the case because so far, I want more and i'm glad there is more lol. Can't wait for more impressions to pour in.

Environments look amazing in this. I actually am starting to like the filmic look it has. Maybe thats why they were pushing 30fps. It does look more like a movie at that rate, and the fps is a little more stable. They need to include the option in the settings though. To have to do a console tweak is stupid.

It would've been nice if they had included the option, but still, adding the commands only once directly to the game's launch options on Steam (or to your shortcut), and not having to worry about it again isn't too bad. :-)

Was it ever said if The Evil Within supports play while download on PS4? Does that initial 5 gig chunk allow partial play?

47 minutes, my counter says... Too long :D

47 minutes until it unlocks on PC?

I unpacked the game with a vpn and it lets me launch it on my own ip but it not only doesn't show me in-game but it crashes before i can even get to the main menu.

The one time i did get to the main menu the mouse lag was the most intense i've ever seen.

Uh, stupid question but better be safe... I don't really follow season passes and how they work, is some part of the pass available now or can I just purchase the base game ?

Nice surprise. I come home and there's half an hour until this is unlocked. Exciting!

I can't believe a new Mikami game is out momentarily and I've avoided most all media for it pre-release. This is the best.

Now that the game is releasing tomorrow, is there a definitive list of differences between the PS4 and PS3 version?

I want to know to see if I really have to upgrade to a PS4 or not. I'm hoping that I don't have to and that I can enjoy it just as much on my PS3.

The whole hub is a cesspool. God, why are so many PC gamers spoiled and whiny crybabies.

"30 fps and back bars, worst game evaarr!" That's the general tone in there.

Elitists of almost anything are whiny bitches.

It is annoying to see people write the game off just because of trivial things that can be modified especially because it's such a good game

lighting fast impressions:

Negative points so far:
*cutscenes: some of them must have been the first thing that's been worked on and it shows its age. There's a difference in quality onward.
They're not *all* bad but compare the ones of chapter 1 to the upcoming ones.

*Tango has watched too much
inception

Stand-out positives:
*that atmosphere/environments, I'm not exagerating, it's unreal
*load times from start menu to "resume" is less than 4 seconds on my machine

The meat of the game, when you control sebastian, is really really good.

Those that were worried this game looked bad are in for a surprise.

That's a good question. The extras haven't really appeared in terms of total size difference except the 1.6 MB for the Fighting Chance DLC. I believe they will come out later on.

Awesome, thanks!

What is your machine?

PC or console?

What is your machine?

PC or console?

My machine sounds like some PC talk right there

I am aware.

But to dream, I dare.

The daring dream: viable PS4 software.
It's a PC.
It isn't even on an SSD drive.

That dev tweeting the load times "were going to be OK" wasn't joking around.
Upon death it takes even less time.

I haven't tried the console version but people are playing PS4/Xone, maybe they can comment.

Dayum.. I wonder how this would be then on my SSD drive. lol

Is any of the season pass stuff dated yet? Figure the story stuff won't be for a while but usually stuff like the boxman levels arrive pretty quickly.

So I can't decide if I want this for PC or PS4. My PC specs are i5 2500k with a radeon 6970 2g and 16gigs of ram. Wolf and Rage struggled on my rig (though nothing else really does). Would it just be safer to get this on PS4?

This game is seriously fucking gorgeous on PC, I can't believe people were trashing the visuals prior to release.
