I think not.

Now we're talking.Hot damn, that blue Korra kaiju fight. Wish it were longer. Should have cut out the Jinora bullshit and have Korra powerbomb Raava straight out of UnaVaatu.

It's great.
Now we're talking.

Season 2 was so good. The introduction of Toph, that alone episode which focused on amazing character moments about trying to find your place, and of course the coolest female antagonist yet. Book 2 was really good.

Oh man, I'm the opposite. I super hated that fight, and thought the length was already awful. For me, we already had the Raava vs Vaatu fight in the Wan/origin episode. And it was much cooler, and more epic. Korra + Unalaq re-enacting the same fight, and dragging out the fight to stupid levels (like illogical levels), just made me roll my eyes. And then it just kept getting dumber and dumber with that Kaiju status. I literally laughed when Unalaq became that big red ugly dude. Or when Korra was stomping around as a big blue thingy, and shooting shit out her chest.
The Jinora stuff was kind of like, cherry on top of all the shit Sunday. I was in such shock at what I just seen.![]()
Yup. I remember just sort of having this face while watching it:

I still haven't re-watched any of that finale. Ugh, what a mess.
season 2 had it's moments but it's not something I'm rushing to rewatch. It's not pure shit but just boring to me
It still had some high moments like Beginnings...I also liked the first half of the final fight before it went Pacific Rim WWE edition
Can someone remind me of what happened to Vaatu? If I'm remembering right, Korra didn't trap him in the Tree, meaning one day he's going return through Raava.
10-thousand-years from now, the dark spirit would emerge from the avatar, and the Republic Galaxy must use her fleet of spaceships to defend herself. Can someone remind me of what happened to Vaatu? Yeah I was kind of confused by that as well. She beat Vaatu/darkness into nothing. But we know that darkness will just re-grow out of Raava. The same way that after Raava was destroyed, she existed within Vaatu (since light and dark must always exist, one can't exist without the other). So theoretically, Vaatu will eventually be re-born out of Raava...which is tied to Korra.....
So what will happen? I suppose we won't know for another 10,000 yearsI still wish that Harmonic Converge/Avatar origin plot was the final plot for this series. And that, it ended with Korra ending up being the bridge (literally) to the spirit and physical world. Which also meant, being the container for light vs. dark (so that the battle of Harmonic Convergence wouldn't have to take place in the future, as the Avatar has balanced it out for the world). I mean, I guess that's possible still. But my point is, that wasn't how the plot was portrayed. And I kind of wish it was.
I suppose...I read another interpretation that said that since Korra did the whole spirit bending thing it was similar to how one kills off the Avatar cycle...or something.
Why can't Vaatu just go to another human like Raava does? Is he gone forever? But that isn't balance...so yeah will he just show up within the Avatar one day?
Too many questions that I think can't be answered.
Ok, this got me good.10-thousand-years from now, the dark spirit would emerge from the avatar, and the Republic Galaxy must use her fleet of spaceships to defend herself.
A schizophrenic avatar.Ok, this got me good.
Maybe we'll get a 2-in-1 Avatar when he comes back? Double Avatar goodness.

Yeah same here they kinda screwed up having it occur halfway through the show as its quite the event importance with you know the world potentially falling into ten thousand years of darkness.
It kinda hard to top something like that.
Oh well i'm still really liking Kuvira quite a bit hopefully they don't go full evil on her.
Man fire benders and air benders would be very useless in space.

Yeah, ironically, metalbending earthbenders will be the most useful in space, and even so only slightly. Waterbenders will have to search desperately for comets or something made out of water ice.
Firebenders technically just heat up stuff and flames come out of burning air. But whatever, never going to happen.
Or will it...?
Man fire benders and air benders would be very useless in space.
That's out of their league don't you think? Sounds like something that could only be done in avatar state.Ripping plasma from the sun and the atmosphere from a planet? Okay, useless
I watched Season 1, skipped Season 2. Judging from the impressions here, I understand that season 3 was awesome. Would i be ok with just skipping past season 2 and straight into season 3?
Nah still give season 2 a watch as despite it been quite uneven there's still some great episodes in it. It improves a great deal after the halfway mark even if the finale still causes quite a bit of division amongst the fanbase.I watched Season 1, skipped Season 2. Plus: firebenders can't bend through thick walls, can they? And just in a suit in space isn't the best position in a fight. That's out of their league don't you think? Sounds like something that could only be done in avatar state.
I love me some azula too bad we won't see her in Korra. I find Kuvira to be one of my favorite designs. I was watching the Panel on youtube seeing how the Kuvira design changed as the planning went along was fascinating. I'm still a bit bummed that they had to ditch her ponytail though. Her intro scene in book 3 showed how pretty she is. I'm new here, hello KorraGaf.Azula was pretty monstrous. Dat blue fire.
Man this show has the coolest girls, Kuvira looking top tier.

Welcome to the Kuvira fan club. Listen, did you like Book 2's finale or not?
That decides whether we keep you or not.

I didn't like book 2 at all on my first viewing. To be honest it weirded me the fuck out. I didn't even find an appreciation for it until I watched Avatar first, then going through season one and two of Korra again. Is it my favorite season? No. Will I skip it when I marathon the series again? No. I look Book 2 for pretty much Varrick, Eska's dead pan sadistic weirdness, how Nuktuk was a spoof of the old school Flash Gordon serials and getting to know Bumi and Kya. I tolerated Unalaaq (thought he had a rather elegant and precise water bending style) and I liked watching the air bender family. Kaiju Korra was hilarious though and came out of nowhere. Book 2 is pretty much just a season that you either love or hate or I guess learn to see some good in. It's not Book 3 though. I love Mad Stan and his cronies. Oh god I didn't even answer the question. I don't hate the finale...it's just weird.Welcome to the Kuvira fan club. Listen, did you like Book 2's finale or not?

Good enough.Oh god I didn't even answer the question. I don't hate the finale...it's just weird.
God I found that hilarious. It's just Bryke taking the piss and making fun of 50's sci fi serials. I lost my shit over the Pabu eye lasers.Good enough.
I don't think I've said this, but I absolutely love the Nuktuk stuff. It was great to see Bolin doing that kind of thing, and the final episode featuring it colliding with Varrick's plan was pure joy to watch.
Besides, there is no air in space.

And a tsunami is just water, but only Aang managed to raise one.Lightning is plasma. Atmosphere is air.
