PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

Doesn't shipped usually include digital sales?

How do you ship something digital? In most MC sales thread that I visit, they usually don't include digital sales. That's why it's the argument in most Vita related ones since the Vita-master race has an unusual fondness of buying digital games instead of retail.

Top page recommendation: Buy PDf 2nd because rhythm games rock.

This game knows me a little too well

This is one thing that until now I still can't be sure. I always hear people want physical release every time a new game got announced. Furthermore, the complaining of memory card's price made me believe people don't want to buy digital much on the Vita.

Do we have any sale figure for those digital vs physical?

IIRC Sony themselves said around 50% of Vita sales are digital. That's gotta be higher than most other platforms.

Edit - here it is http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-02-11-48-percent-of-vita-game-sales-are-digital

Flying Get info:

GarakeGK has mentioned that there'd be a new "plus" announcement and releases on 1/22, while mentioning that he has yet to platinum "Ar no".

There can only be one: Love Plus++!
FTFY. LOL
Make it happen Konami. The back touchpad + touchscreen would get a lot of use. :)

Nice sales for SAO:HF. Hope that can push Bandai Namco a bit into releasing some more Anime games.

i checked the OT of the game and it seems fine and also take some notes of what can help the game play better.
If i find it cheap i'll buy it. xP

Thanks for the help people.
For now i'm back to finish murasaki baby xP

Check the buy/sell thread here on GAF, I've seen people selling the code cheap (but be aware that the download is a little big for a Vita game).

Yesterday I bought Assassin's Creed: Liberation and man does this have a slow framerate. Borderlands 2 really has better performance. But I got it super cheap (like 8$ or something) so bah, backloggin' really is an adiction with the Vita.

Today I pick my pre-ordered Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel copy, and I will put a lock on my wallet >.< I've bought too many games this past months, and have finished like one or two lol The only exception will be Hotline Miami if it's on sale, and Duke Nukem 3D.

I still haven't played through Totori plus, which is the only one I've bought.

I was going to say that I still have to finish Meruru+ and get Rorona+, but you win.

Meruru seems to advance so slowly compared to Totori... I need to take an afternoon and finish it already.

Anyone getting the "In Space We Brawl" game that's out this week (Oct 15 on PS3/PS4 in Europe)? I hadn't heard of it until I got an email to review it the other day.

"The game combines the best of a classic arcade “beat ‘em up with the competitive nature of a local multiplayer twin stick shooter where cosmic mayhem unravels. Players can select a ship and a weapon choosing among 100+ different combinations, looking for the best mix for their combat style. When battling in one of the eight different locations, they will also face environmental space hazards such as solar winds, black holes and alien nests that they must carefully navigate or use to their advantage when fighting against other players."

Local multiplayer twin stick...certainly sounds cool..

Totori isn't a priority either, so will take a while before I finish it

I have Rorona, Totori and Meruru, and have only finished the first test in Rorona. I need to get moving.

I was able to survive Liberation quite well actually xD
So i guess boderlands won't be a major problem.

Thanks for the tip, i'll see what i can find there.

The Octodad free dlc is out now. It's just in the form of a patch for the game, clocks about 1GB.

Oh and it's half price on the store I think

I didn't have a problem with the framerate in ACL. It was the glitches and general design issues that killed the game for me. It's a shame we never got a sequel. It had potential and the game could be enjoyable at times. Definitely not a good game overall but was still much better than AC3.

Today's my first store update as a Vita owner. Which means this week starts my
hopefully not very
long tradition of checking if EDF 2017 Portable has finally gone on sale in the US again.

OH GOD I NEED IT

I still haven't played through Totori plus, which is the only one I've bought. At some point I'll get into the series

Same here. Is it actually recommended to play the game with a guide to get all endings or should I play it at my own pace? On the one hand I don't like using guides but I probably won't replay it either because of my backlog.

Excellent! Great game, highly recommend at that price, and I'm quite glad they added the free DLC as a patch. With the PS4's painless update process I really never want to manually go into the store and download free DLC again. Especially since NIS and compile heart games add like 20 free DLC per game, all like 100kb too, so pointless. Just patch it in.

Octodad has Move support BTW, so it's a great way to get some extra use out of that PS camera.

Does Octodad work with remoteplay?

Does Octodad work with remoteplay?

For non-move controls, yeah. It has normal DS4 controls, though I'm not sure if it has custom mapping for controls, and by default it uses the triggers, which could complicate things if not. I haven't tried it myself. I did one run on PC (DS3s), one on PS4 with move + navi controller, and I used a DS4 for achievement hunting, all on TV.

Atelier Escha & Logy Plus announced for PS Vita, out in Japan on January 22

STILL WAITING FOR AYESHA THANKYOU

I still haven't played through Totori plus, which is the only one I've bought. At some point I'll get into the series

So what you're saying is that you plan on dropping EVERYTHING YOU'RE DOING AND PLAYING ITRIGHTNOWGODFUCKINGDAMNIT

Tsk I've yet to play my PS3 copy yet too.

This is unfortunate for those who prefer physical:
Physical cart lovers beware. If you plan on importing Chaos Rings III: Prequel Trilogy for PS Vita, only Chaos Rings III will be on a game cart.

Chaos Rings, Chaos Rings Omega, and Chaos Rings II, which are included with the physical PS Vita version, are packaged as product codes, which allow you to download each game off the Japanese PlayStation Store. You’ll need 1,320 MB of free space to download all three.

Damn it. Wait, was this game even properly announced for a localization yet? There was that week or two of announcements and I don't remember if this one got a proper thumbs up for english. Let alone a physical english version.

Re: Atelier
I want it so bad but I can't buy a full game digitally without being mad at myself :(

Just picked up ffx hd for the vita...why the hell did I wait so long? I played it when it originally came out, but didn't finish it. I really wanted an epic rpg for the vita, but let's be honest, there's nothing like this on the system unfortunately. 50+ hours of story content, mini games, side quests and a thick ass plot, yessir. I can ignore the corny-ness that rears its head from time to time, cause the character building that is taking place and the cinematic presentation rock. Can't wait to really dig into it all over again

They haven't announced a western localization yet, but they did announce an english version (with physical version) for Asia

Bit of a random question, but I wasn't quite sure where to put it - how good is the mic on that blue wireless PS headset? I'd be using it both for PS4 and PC.

The gold you mean? Good enough considering it's hidden, I wouldn't use it for recording but it's acceptable for voice chat.

I'm sure the iOS version will be localized. Don't know about the Vita yet, but I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be
besides the fact that it's Square Enix.

That's what happens when you think 3.3GB game carts are okay.

That 400k includes PSN figures. The game hasn't hit 300k in Japan, so that leaves over 100k for Hong Kong/rest of Asia? I doubt that's possible.

This number comes from Bandai Namco and not a third party tracker. They know how much it has sold.
