PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

You guys said that the only physical copy of Shinovi Versus was LE.

The fact that I went home without an artbook tells me that was a lie.

There may be a mix-up with their supplier. And I might have found out a rather interesting thing about SCEJA... Or the Asian part of SCEJA, rather.

Asia is a different region.

XSEED handled the US release, so all of those physical copies were LE. I don't think they had anything to do with the Asian version.

Not defending them or anything, but the guy who posted that on GAF left Sega of America a while ago.
I can't complain though, I got my money's worth and more.

Me too.

Still a promise is a promise and it sucks to be broken.

I dunno where you live but in PH everybody that ever owned the physical cart had to buy the limited edition.

As far as the store informed me when I pre-ordered, the R3 copies would also come with LE.

Either ways, I'm returning this next week if they failed to keep on their promise.

I remember someone said Asia one is LE and they get a mystery extra. Do tell us what it is if you get your hand on it.

After having written off Miku because the demo didn't woo me, I'm back in contemplation-land. But Shinovi Versus will probably take all my time anyway. And free space.

As far as what the store has mentioned, there is nothing other than the artbook and soundtrack.

I want an oppai mousepad as compensation. D8<

Hm, I can't say that the button presses felt off to me.

The button presses didn't feel off to me, personally, but I'm not sure I like they way the button inputs fly in from all directions. This would be less of an issue if there weren't four buttons and touching/scratching involved. On the other hand, practice might offset that.

Maybe you need to start at an easier difficulty.

Easy difficulty and special items that you can buy in-game let you play through each song with one button if you need help. Like you said, practice will help a lot. If you're a fan of the genre and have no problem with the music, you should definitely buy PDf on sale.

Disgaea Sale

1 week sale only (started today).

All (main) Disgaea games are at half price. Including Disgaea 4 Returns (2500 yen).

50% sale after only nine months of release. :/

Disgaea 3 Returns also comes back to PS+.
Additionally, RO:Ace and Shinobido2.

Vita TV compatibility is higher than I thought. Aside from obvious no-gos I didn't even try (Murasaki Baby, the first party games that make heavy use of Vita features) almost all indie games and most others do work.

Also when searching I noticed Gurumin is on the digital store for Vita! I thought it was one of those "not on Vita" titles. It's great fun if you haven't tried it. Very charming 3D adventure sort of game. Might re-buy, it's one of my UMD purchases (physical wasn't better that time...)

Interesting. I wonder if they've added an alternative method to 'rub'. I think Vita players would appreciate that.

Not played it myself yet, but I'm not looking forward to that particular mechanic.

I'm not sure it'll be all that different, probably just moving a cursor over the card instead of your finger--but if that level of abstraction helps you tolerate it, go for it.

It's not "necessary" other than one instance in the story (technically you don't HAVE to play the story but it's where you get loads of NPC battles so I strongly recommend it and just skipping the actual dialog), but it does give you a wider variety of cards. If you want to play it single player it's really not required at all, but it's important for a good deckbuilding experience and widens your variety of cards for online play. Of note, it is not strictly an "upgrade", lots of people are confused by that. Some cards get higher stats, some get lower stats but get cheaper costs, some change focus.

It's also not really that offensive IMO, ridiculous more like. The images are static and all you really have to do is tap 2-3...special areas really fast, takes about 20-30 seconds a card if you're fast. Just turn off the sound and pretend you're playing that Pokemon Diamond/Pearl mining minigame. You can skip the "rubbing" part too, it's not even the fastest way to fill the meter, just tap when you see stars.

That's a first, isn't it? A game returning to IGC.

No but pretty rare, especially recently.

Disgaea Sale

Weeeeh, put Battle Princess of Arcadias on sale, NISA

I don't have an issue with it in theory - it will probably just lead to unwelcome questions when observed!

It's not part of the main game, if observation is all you're worried about you can just only upgrade when at home/alone/whatever. Though some of the cards are moderately risque, they mostly show for seconds at a time in battle. Most of the time you're looking at chibis and UI

Dat sale to greet the Disgaea 5 demo.
Don't remember if it'll be PS+ only like GGXrd's. Hope not >_>

You gave me hope for 1 second until I read the yen part :(
Too bad its only in Japan.

Oh shit, I forgot the most important part of Japan's PS+ FreePlay.

Sora no Kiseki SC Kai (PS3) is also on.

I think I also forgot to warn others that yesterday was the last day to get FC Kai. >_>

Alright, I caved lol.

Got Miku along with SK and Vib-Ribbon. Can't download the latter, yet, though.

Also waiting for Nidhogg to go up on the German store.

Then play it on your room alone. I did it in front on my family in the living room and no one gave a damn.

So what you're saying is save the rubbing for the toilet? Hmm...sounds workable.

Is it decent?

I enjoy how it looks on dat oled. Not really any input lag. I wouldn't play FPS games on it. Infamous worked good too. If they come up with a subscription based model, Vita will really shine with it. It'll be great for Ps3 RPGs. I really want Fallout and Skyrim to be on PS Now!!
