32gb vs 64gb pricing

Still seems to me like a better deal than getting a new iPhone 6 (same price as N6)

Main thing is to consider vs Note 4 which is getting rave reviews too

Do we know that the $650 is the Google Play Store price? When the Nexus 5 launched it was $350 directly from google, but T-Mobile was charging $450 for it without subsidies.

This is why I am waiting to see the Play Store pricing before freaking out.

Ignore that picture that is not US currency. Motorola confirmed in their press release that the STARTING pric is 649

Motorola said the 650 price is what it will start at in Google play.

Guys just read the press release. It's way easier than guessing...

Nexus 9 guess there not replacing the 10 then?

Tempting to pick this up (hopefully around £299ish when it comes to the UK)

It would have to be $300 less to be worth it. $100 less won't be enough.

650$ is a bit much for me. Was expecting something in 400ish, but seems like they are targeting that note 4 segment. Still getting a nexus 9 though.

Hope they support the Nexus 9 more than they did the 10.

That said - anyone want a Nexus 4 and 10? Good Price - 1000$

Yeah, I'm looking to unload my N5 32 gig. This is a good time since the price point on the N6 (and for some, the size) will sway them away.

I like big (hence why I'm going Note 4), but I thought the Play Store price was one of the reasons people went with the Nexus line. :\

Price is completely unaffordable for me and probably most other low income people. Guess Google no longer wants me or the average person as a customer.

There's only so much you can do with price on a 6inch phone. You need a decent SOC and plenty of RAM to drive the display and you can't half-ass the battery either which was one of Google's favourite tactics to get the price down on the Nexus 4 and 5.

Between the Moto G and the Nexus 5 they've got the lower end covered. A six inch phone just cannot be a budget product. Yet.

Looking forward to a clean install of L on my 5, I'm very satisfied with how it's running. Took some tuning and the battery life is whatever, but it's OK.

Would love that battery though jeez.

It's a blog post, not a press release, so the level of pre-release scrutiny isn't quite as high.

To those holding out hope for the Play Store, don't: https://sites.google.com/a/pressatgoogle.com/android-10-15/nexus6

I don't understand the pricing cries. It's 650 off contract. Aren't phones usually even higher than that off contract?

Galaxy Nexus when it came to the Play store was $400 -- although at launch in the US it was expensive to buy it off-contract since it was Verizon only or you had to import it.

Nexus 4 at launch was $300.

Nexus 5 at launch was $350.

Nexus 6 is $650.

Bs. One Plus released a premium device with 64gb storage for $350.

I wanted to upgrade my Nexus 4 to the new Nexus whenever it came out but I really don't think I will now.

The size and especially that price is just much more than I expected. Too much.

Maybe there's hope for more true Nexus devices in the near future. That said, this makes hanging onto the OPO a no brainer.

I hope Lollipop breathes new life into my Nexus 5 in terms of battery life.

Otherwise, my mind is already going to a dark place -- namely, putting down $400 upfront at T-Mobile and having them add the rest to my bill ($10 more per month for 24 months). Going through T-Mobile would also give me insurance coverage, plus in-store service/support...

TALK ME OUT OF THIS DARK LINE OF THINKING, GAF.

Do it

High end phones are about 600-800 off contract. Updates from Google as well as the low price of Nexus phones in the past are what made it appealing. Now the only appeal is updates from Google. It seems now that its better to either do a contract and get a discounted phone, or do ATT Next/Verizon Edge/Tmobile jump where you can get a new phone once a year and not have to pay that much up front.

At first I laughed because it was a niche within a niche. A nexus phone that is huge. Throw in the price and you got a niche within a niche within a niche. Ground breaking.

Was hoping they'd announce a smaller one too. Guess I'm finally switching from Nexus this year!

For phones that is. That Nexus 9 will be mine...

Yeah, I'd rather spend $650 on an iPhone than a Motorola device. The resale values on the Nexus devices didn't bother me that much as their successors were cheap enough, but $650 for an N6 that wont hold value like a Apple or Samsung device a year from now isn't worth it to me. I can get $200 for my N4, so I guess I'll sell it and pick up a G2 sidegrade for $250 and splurge on something with a 20mn chip and great battery life next year.

Loving my Nexus 5, it seems I will have to buy something other than a Nexus when I decide to upgrade. Won't buy premium phones anymore.

So you buy devices based on their resale values?

Did not see $650 coming.

And at $400, I guess that's the end of me buying Nexus tablets, unless there'll be another 7. Not interested in spending that for phone apps on a tablet screen.

$650???? I was looking for a phone to get next year and thought N6 would be the easy choice. For $650 I'd have my choice of any phone on the market, Nexus loses a big advantage for me personally.
