PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

So if I'm enjoying the little I've played of Soul Sacrifice, is it worth it to keep playing the vanilla version or should I stop and wait until I get Delta on sale or something? And keep in mind if I do get it, it'll probably be pretty far into the future.

Finally, Battle Princess of Arcadias is the price it should have been from the start.

Will probably get.

Getting for sure if that's in the US too. Hope the starting price didn't hurt it's performance too much. Love the look of the game, but I'm not usually a stickler on price and it's still a bit rough IMO

I know I'm late, but.

The Proof of Life

I bought Let's Fish! Hooked On.

I almost bought that but I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a fishing game. I only enjoyed the PSX one I had because it was basically an aquarium sim with a fishing minigame .

Google Cardboard and a birthday present for my mom. Doubt those are going on PS+

I knew there was a reason I rejected your friend request a few days ago

LOL.
Hit me right in the friendslist :(

So I'll again recommend One Piece Unlimited World Red. Every time I come back to this game I'm reminded how fun it is while also being one of the most attractive games on the system. Really hoping more cell shaded games come to vita.

Delta is a much better game. Emphasize on "much". So yeah, wait for it.

Now I have $40 in my wallet. $30 will be for Freedom Wars. The left over is for whatever sale they are going to have on the Vita. I'm waiting.

Maybe I'll get Battle Princess of Arcadias if nothing worthwhile shows up.

lol. Send me another one and I'll accept it. I didn't recognize your name which is why I rejected it

I was surprised at how good the game was. I'm a huge One Piece fan but the game probably still would've been good without the license.

Will do. I realized when I was sending them out that most people wouldn't recognize the name. Figured I'd just work it out when it came up (as it did). I'll send one in a bit.

Yeah for sure. The game is a pretty perfect balance of satisfying action (It's actually surpring how much I've improved at a game with seemingly simple mechanics) and being super approachable. Not to mention that the writing is decidedly competent -- if not exactly profound. All in all a very enjoyable package.

Huh, noticed the logo at the bottom right.

Marvelous phasing out XSEED's name, or just throwing it there because it's a Marvelous game from Japan and ergo should have the label here?

XSeed Games' logo is on the back cover. so probably the latter

The Let's Get Physical edition outer box is embossed BTW, pretty cool, didn't get that from the photos (it's not apparent in mine either)

I know, but it's impossible to get right on my TV. Even the input lag adjustment tool in the PDF 2nd demo didn't work for me.

Are you sure it's not audio lag? IMHO it's a more serious problem than display lag in rhythm games.

Some TVs have insane HDMI audio lag. Using an external amp usually fixes that. Or using analog audio, if the former is not an option.

You can keep playing, but keep it installed for the save transfer when you get Delta.

I don't think so, it worked a bit better on the TV at my parent's house.

Saves carry over though, right? Are the mechanics improved enough so that the main game is a much better experience than vanilla?

Spell balancing aside, there is 3rd faction, the neutral one. Faction you choose will change your benefit for saving/sacrficing/leaving to luck. Also there are spell combo which feel great when you managed to pull it off, like casting mine + bulb will create a mortar flower. The adding of "rumor" feature help a lot if you are grinding to find some specific drop from bosses.

More spells, more archfiends, more lores, more quests, more features.

PS Flash sale likely incoming this weekend

Thank @Wario64 for the heads up

Great!

Our prices in Chile are in USD, but they are like 3-5USD higher than US PSN, so your flash sale might be even at lower price.

Unrelated, but since I got my account recently I wanted to say thanks for your OTs/Impressions. They're always really useful and you have good opinions :D

Which leads me to the question... has there been any news on Stranger of Sword City localization? (not necessarily asking you in particular, just in general as I haven't heard about it for a month or two it seems)

nothing concrete yet has been decided yet from what i know. and have talked with the producer before

Personally if I had a TV that lagged so badly that I wouldn't be able to play a rhythm game on it without any in-game adjustment, I would consider that TV "unsuitable for video games" and get rid of it immediately.

My tolerance for lag is very low, hell I straight up refuse to use anything but a CRT for pre-HD consoles.

Aside from how many times I had to delete and reinstall the game to get the trophy list to register and appear, the God of War collection on Vita isn't remotely bad. Haven't played these games since 2007, it's great to revisit and remember why I liked them so much... and it's awesome to have them portable.

They shouldda never shipped it with that trophy bug, and it should have been patched ffs, but this is another HD collection on Vita that gets hated on a lot harder than it needs to be.

How many times did you have to delete/re-install before the trophies appeared?

I never really noticed the lag until I tried PDF. Oh well, more reason to play on the Vita instead.

Strength of the Sword 3 is $1 on US PSN
for those of you looking for cheap games to push you over that "Spend $100, get $15 back" promo - this works

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetw...rd-3/cid=UP4056-NPUB31356_00-SOSGAME000000001
$5 WO3U worked pretty well too.
Sorry.

God of War 2's trophy list registered right away. God of War 1 took maybe 4 or 5 tries after I read to try deleting/reinstalling for a fix. Luckily, it's a physical copy so I didn't have to re-download or restore a backup to do any of this.

...but, once the list appeared, I saw I already had a few early trophies unlocked from when I first got the game at release, and let my cousin play it. That means the very first time I installed the game on one of my old memory cards, the trophy list must have loaded in right away without any problems. So I don't know what causes it and there's some obviously randomness to whether it registers or not.

I just was in the mood to play it finally, had heard about the trophy problems, and knew I didn't want to play through without them.

Damn, that's crazy. I had the digital version of the collection and had no problems whatsoever. But yeah, as a huge fan of the series, it was cool playing them again on the Vita. Would have been cool to have a new Vita gow game, but I'm all burned out of the series.

Looking forward to that flash sale. Been meaning to pick up Miku. I should also get the digital version of Neptunia Victory so I don't have to open my LE.

has the Minecraft free glitch been fixed too
or is it limited to EU (and not UK) GAF?
I think so. I bought both demos and now the PS3 version says that I can't buy it because I already own the Video Edition (the download list shows a 182MB download for Vita which I assume is just the demo). I could buy the Vita version though, but it asks for 19€.

it's ded
I tried with my spanish account

basically it won't let you get the full version since you need to buy the vita version. But it still allows you to dl the game

Once the game is downloaded - it won't even let you pay to unlock the full version lol

so basically

you can't even legitly buy this knock off lego game after trying to do this "exploit"
