HELL NO. Spoilers up the ass. Play the 1st one. Its still pretty damn good.

the 2nd game plays upon the assumption that you played the first. It does it really well and theres a bit of twist that only work if you played the first game.

What is the appeal?

1) setup another spot in your house to play your ps4 via remote play (so somebody can use the tv where the ps4 is connected)
2) play most ps1/ps2/vita games on the big screen (pending compatibility

Those are the two biggest appeal.

I think rmeote play also works over the internet/wifi. I heard somebody playing destiny at work on their vita. I assume it would work the same with ps tv if you have the monitor/tv to hook the ps tv (and wifi/internet)

honestly. I love the vita. I bought it for old school ps1 rpgs. Then the games came in that I was interested in (Virtue Last Reward, Danganronpa, Ys, Persona 4).

Also I love playing fighting games on the go. I used it alot for training mode in umvc3 while using public transporation. The sleep feature makes it the best modern portable gaming system. Literally a month of sleep mode and still have over 80% battery charge.
