PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

Oh man i remember this shit lol. hope you find your Card. Has to be somewhere right?

I might get a 64 GB Card around Xmas, i'm playing the Vita more than Ps4 or other Platforms, and deleting stuff all the time is kinda annoying.

It should be somewhere. I mean, it is impossible that it's nowhere. At least I'm pretty sure it existed at one point in time. But I can't find it. I will have a better chance when I give up looking for it, I guess.

Normally I was getting along fine with my 8GB card, since I tend to focus on one game at a time. But with Sword Art Online taking a long time to complete (and me not being motivated to play more of it right now), Senran Kagura being out for less than a week and Miku being so big in size (there is a joke to be found somewhere in this sentence) it's the first time I was at my limits. Or at the limits of my memory card.

Well, goodbye SAO for the time, will be back after I finish SK I guess. Miku better be worth the trouble. Should I get the free DLC if I'm only in it for the scoring and rhythm gameplay and don't care about video editing or characters that much?

TOTP: Get Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus. And write me a message if you happen to find my 16 GB card somewhere.

Wow at the leaderboards for When Vikings Attack on Vita.

First level puts me at 99,xxx sso there's easily over 100k.
But the last few levels there's 5 or less each, never seen that kind of drop.

Edit. Never mind. I think they're bugged?

Omg, suddenly Escape Goat 2 is releasing on PS4 next week! Day 1!

Hopefully Vita support is still coming. Shame EG1 can't be included as a bonus.

Might get Shadow Warrior, Legend of Korra.. but tbh I just don't have the time these days.. so much in my backlog..

Edit:
When Vikings Attack was surprisingly fun, just tried it once.. reminded me of that PS1 series by Konami.. puyo something?

It's not extremely long. The gameplay and visuals are nothing completely groundbreaking in a vacuum, but on a portable device it looks and plays pretty amazing (especially after they allowed saving at checkpoints...esh). I can't say it's an urgent play, but uh, it's probably the last and best of it's kind on a portable console like...ever, so I'm quite glad I played it.

I think I'll wait a bit more and see if there are some interesting sales in the near future. If there are no sales I care about I'll probably get Killzone, thanks for the feedback :)

The first thing I did in PDf was to disable back touch. I usually do short swipes in the bottom left corner of the screen with my thumb. I never have to change my grip or anything, so the touchscreen basically acts like an extended (and more comfy) analog stick.

Yeah, I understand why that would be comfortable but I swear I can't stand seeing smudges on the front screen, so I'll be happy to use thumbsticks in PDF 2nd. Back touch wasn't uncomfortable either due to the way I usually hold my Vita, I just used my middle right finger to scratch the back touchscreen (it might sounds awkward but I actually find it really comfortable)

I bought AC: Freedom Cry in the AC Week Deal, but I only downloaded it yesterday.
Bought it in my account, downloaded it in my account.

Today, my brother went to play it with his account in the same PS4, but he couldn't because there was a lock at the side of the "Play" button. What's happening?

I'm liking Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate for the Vita so far, even though it has problems with draw distance (too fucking short) and sometimes with fps, it is a solid game. Makes me want Hyrule Warriors, though...

I'm stuck on the third(?) story mission. Wang Yuanji keeps dying before I can reach her. >.>

Get it. It's all kinds of awesome.

Thanks, I plan to. I'm just waiting to find a physical store near me with it. After years of digital I think I'm going back to physical for my Wii U.

Oh, that one. I hate when I have to rush and save people (
which are most of the missions that I've done so far
), but I usually just
run towards them
, unless you're playing on Chaos, then you're going to have to plan something more sophisticated. In this mission specifically I
let the yellow dudes just stand by, and went through the north, via the red bad guys. The one time when I went through the yellow dudes I ended up losing.

A hint if you want it, in spoilers in case you don't -
Summon a horse using the up button and just ride past everything. It sounds stupid, but it works.

Bought Hatsune Miku and ordered Senran Kagura Let's get physical edition and Steins; Gate on PC.

This is me right now:

So I tried to copy Soul Sacrifice to my PC via Content Manager. After 15 minutes the progress bar was still empty, so I canceled it. Now it's been stuck on "Please Wait" for like 10 minutes. What do?

EDIT: Okay, resolved that, but one other quick question: When I copy something over via Content Manager, it copies the save and all DLC too, right? Pretty sure it does, but I just want to make sure.

I spent sooooo much money last week. Just couldn't resist. DG2, Nidhogg, Peggle 2, pinball tables, etc. Need more time to play.

Yep, as long as the save and DLC are on the Vita.

I just switched my screen-mode in PS1 Castlevania SOTN to custom, and made it so it uses the entire Vita screen. Turned off Bilinear filtering of course.

The image doesn't look stretched, all the sprites look nice and crispy. The image looks really sharp. (I usually just use the 'Original' mode.

WO3 and Hyrule Warriors are two of the REALLY good musou games you can get. Playing WO3 on Vita though makes me want the PS4 version though. I went from WO3 PS3 to WO3 on Wii U (bleh) to WO3 on Vita and I think I want to get the PS4 version just because muh draw distance and more enemies on screen

More Wang Yuanji and Ina-Hime is good too

Thanks for the advice, seems like I have a musou fever. I missed playing games like this.

Yeah, SotN looks much better without the bilinear filtering on... the pixels and sprite work show their craftsmanship. I wish console emulators had the full array of visual options that any good emulator on PC has always had.

I use custom for PS1 games, but I set it to keep proportions, and stay in 4:3... took a bit of finagling to get it flush to the edge of the screen and perfectly center. Not sure why yours doesn't look disproportionate, but good job.

I am looking forward to Samurai Warriors 4 the most, was considering preordering the PS4 version for weeks now. Problem is I don't have a PS4 and probably won't get one until late November at the earliest. But I need that soundtrack, so it might just be the first game i purchase without the means to play it. :D

Orochi 3 is really good. Have the platin for the original and it never bored me. Just can't really go back after playing DW8 and HW, but in terms of content and characters it is unmatched.

Finally took Neptunia seriously and started grinding like a madman to fight off the ridiculous bosses. Finally feel like I'm making progress in the game. Plus Noire is awesome lol.

Whoa. Just discovered by accident my Samsung remote controls blurays on my ps4 (they're connected by anynet+). Been watching movies for ages before I accidentally hit pause with my remote and it worked.

Awesome games, congratulations. I wish I ordered Steins;Gate limited edition back then, even if I didn't have a PC with DVD-drive back then.

There's always digital. The only big gripe I have is that they changed Rukako's name to Lukako for some silly reason.

Teflontactics, do you keep an up to date list of vita releases? I think I remember someone did but I can't recall. either way, Anyone know what "big" vita games are coming next month outside of PDF2nd? Gotta budget.

And now I went to play the demo of UFC he downloaded through his account, and the same "Lock" is in the Play button when I try to play it in my account.

What's going on?

Yeah, I do.

Quote my post to see the link, updated weekly.

Thank you kindly. I guess that confirms that I'm not really looking at anything to buy. Looking at the list though, I'm stunned how many of the games announced at TGS are coming out already this fall.

This list is actually very impressive. Kudos.

Thanks, I've put a lot of work into maintaining and updating it over the past (nearly) two years. :)

It definitely shows. There's stuff on that list that I had entirely forgotten about. I completely forgot starbound existed, for example. Think you're gonna have to move it from 2014 to 2015, though :(

Yeah, there's a ton of supposed "2014" releases which are going to slip to 2015 by the looks of things...

For early 2015, we already have NepReb2, Noire RPG, Ayesha Plus, Toukiden Extreme, Tokyo Twilight and Oreshika 2. Things are already looking good for me.

yeah, I'm going to have to take earlier classes this spring so that I can work better hours and then throw all my money at games lol. So many things to look forward to on PC, Wii U, Vita
