Yessss, the give me all the drama, the pettiness

Eh. Looks like they fucked up the goofy tone of the first that made it likable. Now it just looks overly serious.

Thought the same thing, but the movie (trailer) looks good regardless. Also, maybe the movie is lighter than this trailer leads to believe.

Indoor shots look well shot, along with the darker light shots. Hard to tell about the brighter scenes.

Andy Serkis not playing a CGI character is surprising.

Is it me or does QuickSilver not seem fast enough in these? Like in every shot where they show him in slow motion to represent his speed, every body else in the frame is moving somewhat slower, not like at a complete standstill.

Is it just me?

All I know is... if I don't get a Carol Danvers fucking hint or cameo I'm done. D.O.N.E.~

Least this trailer is better put together than previous first trailers like X-Men DoFP and Avengers 1 still can tell there are a ton of unfinished effects.

Iron Man 3's trailers tried to play that film off as serious too. Hell, even GotG got one "serious" trailer. I imagine this will probably be more urgent than the last film, but I can't see it being TDKR levels of despair.

We get very little Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch action.

Yeah I'm not expecting to see a lot of Scarlet Witch or Quicksilver in these early trailers, as like Hulk every scene with them is gonna have a lot of special effects.
Or at least, not a lot of them in action scenes.

Reminder: Everyone thought Iron Man 3 was going to be super-serious and dark after watching its first trailer, too.

edit: literally beaten by like SECONDS by Sinatar/Quicksilver

I bloody love it. A shame this pretty much robs Agents of SHIELD of the ratings bump it would've given them, though. They deserve it

also, zombie ultron is the best

It's also important to note that they didn't include the comedic scene that preceded the serious stuff from the comic con trailer. The one where the Avengers crew try to lift Thor's hammer.

Quicksilver is fast but he's not the Flash and he's certainly not the immortal god king he was portrayed to be in DOFP.

Didn't Ironman 3 trailers trick everyone in this exact same way? Let's put away our jump to conclusions mats. Fold it up. Fold it up and put it back in your closet.

Edit: Beaten twice

A solid trailer to be sure but James Spader's Ultron just lifts the whole thing to another level. The scene of the Ultron 'prototype' staggering out to confront the Avengers is really, really effective.

Yeah, looks like a real step up from the first Avengers film.

Whedon has been pretty upfront about this being Empire Strikes Back to New Hope, though. Of course there will be humour, but overall it is pretty likely to be more grim/melancholy than the first one.

The Iron Man 3 trailer had the same tone and was one of the funniest MCU movies out there.

That is true. Movie still wasn't very good but the tone was definitely much lighter than the trailers suggested and he humor was the best part of the movie.
