Rumor is that Hank Pym created Ultron years ago but Tony revived the program. Tony programs Ultron so that it can protect the world when the Avengers aren't around or want to take a rest, but he models it after his own personality, but only partially, which basically makes Ultron Tony, but without the sympathetic elements.

Was Cap wearing the Avengers 1 suit in the trailer? It was kinda blurry, so I couldn't really tell.
edit: nevermind. I took it out of full screen and moved it off the TV back onto the monitor.
It's not the awful A1 suit.

This. If you look at the back of his suit in the next shot it's more clear that it's the updated Winter Soldier suit.
I think my reaction was the opposite- seeing it in motion turned me from thinking it just looked kinda weird to really disliking it.
