WWE 2K15 First Footage and Gameplay changes

I do wonder if 2K15 is going to be released on PC in time for the next-gen versions, as I have read some grumblings about a PC version last month

I have no clue how this extra story stuff works in Universe Mode.

There seems to be a ton of "clues" to unlock but what does it lead to?

It seems they have replaced "create a story" with this but it's only in universe mode and the stories you assign to rivals have set parameters. You can't really create your own story.

Taking out the create a story and custom music and all the other shit they've taken out are actual valid complaints too.

i guess if thats your thing, i only play online so story mode mean jack shit to me. and since custom music cant be heard online, same thing. still hugely disappointing if the entrance animations are missing, is it confirmed that they will be in the next gen versions? sadly enough if season pass unlocked it, i would pay even though thats completle bullshit

Yeah but calling complaints of these features being taken out "invalid" because you don't personally use them is p shitty. I mean, I never use Universe mode but I'd still consider it bad if they took it out since people seem to dig it a lot.

These games having so many different features that people obsess over so they can ignore the core shitty gameplay are the only things that justify their existence. Taking them out one by one and they're going to find out that people aren't going to put up with their lousy games.

I only play for the excellent mechanics and authentic WWE sheen. Just be happy you're even getting a game for last gen, you dumb GIRL.
 
If most of the entrances are really gutted, I think I'll pass this year. That and custom music is one of the most important things for my CAWs, and keeping the modern guys updated (or to give them some stupid new gimmick).

God it's going to be amazing when then IGN review comes out and doesn't even mention they removed half the game, adding hardly anything, and are charging $60 for it.

It's only in the next gen version and pretty much every article that comes out about it sounds the same. It sounds neat for what it is, but not really good enough if the next gen version is taking out all the features they took out of the PS3 version.

Nobody even reviewed the last gen versions of NBA2K but I guess that's because they hid it by launching all on the same day.

I think the reviewers will actually mention the downgrade, we've already seen that they've grown teeth in the past couple years.

Based on that screenshot, clues unlock stories you can assign, which is pretty cool.

Doesn't make up for gutting the game, but small things and all that.

Read a theory from someone on another forum about the preset entrances... They won't be on current gen either because they're now using a different sized stage, ramp and ring (more accurate to WWE size) so they can't just lift and dump them. If current gen doesn't get them, they get axed from last gen because that version would be better.

It would make sense... I mean, shitty sense that they couldn't sort it for the current gen OR just not rip them out of last gen. But there's a tiny bit of logic there.
 
Do we know if they've removed the 'Advanced' mode for create an entrance? As long as we can still pick bits and pieces of a pre-set entrance, it won't be as bad. Still annoying that all the generic stuff is gone though.

I'm pretty sure they must have. I can't see why they'd go through all the entrance stuff to find the few that stayed without even touching advanced.

I'm honestly not surprised by this either. I was expecting less entrance animations this year. I wasn't expecting as few as we are getting but I did expect them to have to redo them all considering some of the major changes they have done to the next gen version.

It's frustrating but without the delay to March I can see why they were stuck doing what they've done.

Well, I hope we still have the ability to mix and match the existing entrances in advanced mode. That will provide a decent amount of entrance types.

This may be true, although it makes it sort of weird if Randy Orton and Goldust (and like 30 other guys) have the same entrance animation as in 2k14 anyway.

If people really want to harp on about "ethics" in games journalism, watching the review scores for the last gen version of this game should be very interesting.

Sounds like a teenager gently shutting their car door so it doesn't wake their parents up because they've been out way past curfew. The complete lack of reaction from the announcers really helps that kid.
 
I've had the special edition on preorder for PS4 since forever, and my hype is slowly dying down. Is this a valid response to this thread? Or should I keep my preorder and hope for the best. This was going to be my first WWE game in years.
