Xbox One official UK price is £329.99, was dropped £20 not long ago.

But, you get so many bundles with two or three games for about £350 or much less. Even one game bundles are just shy of £300. Retailers and Microsoft are trying everything to move them. I think fence sitters are about to jump but when deals get better and better, it's a weird situation, do you keep waiting. November will force it.

I doubt gamestop has any price protection, so you have a couple options - pick it up tomorrow and ignore the price drop, or wait til next week and hope gamestop doesn't sell off your bundle in the meantime.

I do agree that the timing of this price cut does make it awkward to have pre-ordered a sunset overdrive bundle.

The first batch was very limited. We have zero idea about the second batch.
I would suggest buying it from Best Buy or Target which has a price protection for next week. $50 is not worth the chance of not getting a limited product.

You really need to take the Xbox live subscription fee out of your equation. It's not a "this is how we'll get a free $50.00 for our customers each year". With or with out Xbox live they're losing $50.00 with the new 349.99. Whether the console is $499.99, $399.99, or $349.99 that $50.00 price tag is still there. And guess what? It would have been better for them to have the console priced at 499.99 or 399.99 plus that $50.00 Xbox live fee. So yeah now instead of making 399.99 + $50.00 they're making 349.99 + $50.00. They're losing $50.00 no matter how you look at it.

Well, if that subscription doesn't exist without the console being sold, you can't really take it out of the equation entirely, can you? I mean, my equation involves far more than that sub, but then my "they will buy new games for the system" was tossed aside because of the used game market. Which is obviously silly - folks do buy new games and the more consoles there are on the market, the more new games that will sell - just like the higher chance there are more xbox live subs with out sales than with less.

Yes, they can make that fee with a console sale at $400 and $500, but they can also make the game sale at that price too. $350 simply increases the install base, which creates more subs and more game sales. That's really the argument here. They make it back by generating more overall sales long term that sub and buy new software versus more expensive hardware that doesn't have the same amount of subs or new game sales.

The SSO bundle looks so nice. Given the reviews the game has been getting, it's probably the best bundle this holiday. What would be truly amazing is a giftcard deal with a bundle, which would allow people to get a discount on the MCC as well. Seriously, I still can't believe MS isn't putting a bundle out with the game. I'm very reluctant to buy AC:U and don't want to spend extra on CoD so the SSO bundle is my best option. I really hope retailers restock fast.

All they are doing is making their eventual 2nd place finish this generation slightly better. There's no doubt the Bone is going to get killed by the PS4 worldwide, because the Bone literally doesn't exist outside of the US and UK and the rest of the world contributes a lot more to sales than most people know. Sony doesn't have to do shit if they don't want to, letting MS close the gap a bit in the US isn't going to save the rest of the world.

You can get the older surfaces and the RTs (that rightfully no one wants) at a pretty decent discount, but the SP3 is a quality device priced pretty reasonably. Wouldn't expect big discounts on the most recent Surface anymore since they seem to have finally figured it out. Plus the Surface is kind of it's own weird little market instead of having anything comperable to the "console wars".

It's great though BTW, using my i5 SP3 right now

This is exactly my dilemma. While this is an amazing deal, I don't see any exclusives I want this year and I would buy all my multiplatform games on PS4.
