You can find a cheap Xbox One in Germany without any official price drop. Retailers are just trying to get rid of them and offer some really good bundles. Like 2 games, 2 controllers and 3 months of Gold for 400€.
 
Microsoft getting desperate! Well, that's good for competition so let's see what happens. I still don't have either console, but hoping Sony responds because I don't have any interest in the Xbox and would love to grab a PS4 this year if it goes on sale.

Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset are not going anywhere.
Quantum Break is coming in 2015. Phantom Dust HD and Crackdown in 2016.
I really do not get the complaint since the Xbox 360 big exclusives were Gears of War, Forza, and Halo.

Let a person dream :( Next deal and I'm jumping in. I hope they shave $100 bucks on the 256gb model. Hell, I'll buy an X1 after as a gesture.

Makes perfect sense. They know Master Chief Collection will probably sell the most out of all those games on Xbox One, it will be a system seller. This way, they force you to buy the game separately, and get an Xbox One.

This also makes the devs of these games happy because it's just additional sales. Oh sweet, I get a copy of Unity, Sunset, Advanced Warfare where the costs are picked up by MS instead of the consumer.

I think Brazil is the only place that got a White Master Chief Collection bundle.

I think his point was, the lowest entry point for X1 went from $500 - $350 with free games within a year. Price cut, unbundling, new sku's, whatever.

And it sucks for people told that Kinect is integral to the system and will never be unbundled, because here we are a year later. MS needed to do it, but it still sucks.

Being an early adopter is risky business, though I doubt many predicted a price drop like this.

Whatever puts pressure on Sony to drop their price quicker though, or at least do away with those $450 bundles.

I think it was Shamus on last year's E3 Bonus Round that stated (maybe just speculated) Sony were prepared to go lower with the PS4 launch price. Maybe with the newer revision that got filed recently, they'll be able to lower manufacturing cost and cut the damn thing by $50 for the holidays.
 
If MS doesn't come out front with these bundles during November and December then I have no idea what they can do to win.
However, I wounder if Sony will do anything to counter this, or if they feel they need to.

+ whatever it is worth it to you that Nintendo is packing real retail copies instead of mere dl codes for their bundles (in my case: The whole value of the game).

Every best Buy no longer shows the item as being available for in-store pickup or pre-order, all just greyed out. I think I'm screwed. I guess I'll shoot over there when they open, literally across the street from my office building.
 
This is a good deal, just let me say if people think the SO bundle is truly limited let me ask you this. If it's sold out you think MS isn't going to make more? With them being behind and everything, they're going to restock. They don't have to luxury of saying, we don't have any more. If there is demand, they will meet it.

Tempted to get this for my brothers Xmas present, but I'm kinda inclined to wait til Black Friday. Imagine the deals if this doesn't increase sales like expected. 299$ bundles by Black Friday might be a real and with the way the console price has dropped, I have no reason to believe it won't happen again.

I'm glad someone finally said this. I feel like such the minority on here anymore because I'm not constantly trying to tear down the One. You can enjoy both consoles, guys.
 
Glad to say I still paid less for my Xbox One with Kinect which came with Ryse. $335 Canadian, and given the $ exchange would be even less in USD.

Sucks this isn't for Canada as well.

Yeah. With the rate XB1 is dropping in price I'll just continue to wait, especially since there aren't any essential games yet. I'm in no rush to spend money and I certainly feel no sense of obligation to buy things just because they're discounted.

I guess that depends on their financials. Sony isn't as able to shrug off $50+/unit like Microsoft can. They may decide to let things go however they go on. The system is selling roughly a million a month and is profitable.

Plus all pack-in games being games you need a Wii U to play, unlike AC and COD.
