Soon we'll all be like:

W447
I hope marvel triple whammies us with Ms. Marvel, Black panther and Spiderman/

Believe.

As much as I want it, there's no way that there would be Spider-Man news without it leaking so I'm not going to be upset if there's nothing about that but I will be mad if Marvel skips yet another opportunity to announce a Black Panther movie.

Ultron footage
List of movies/release dates.

Special Guest Appearaces by:
Cumberbatch as Strange
Boseman as T'Challa
Sackhoff as Danvers

Do it.

DO IT.

What if it's Childish Gambino tho?

I think he could pull it off TBH

Why you hiding that behind spoilers? Of course he could fuckin' pull it off.

Hell, they announce they got the rights to Spidey, AND they're casting Glover? I'm going to work the next day in a Spidey costume :)

Again, I kinda think she shot herself in the foot after dissing GotG (she dissed the casting & thought it wasn't going to do well).

Even if they do announce Spider-Man in the MCU, I don't see it being a full "Sony selling the rights back to Marvel" thing. At best, it'll be the allowance of the character in the Avengers movies plus a co-production on the stand alone Spider-Man movies, and who knows what that would entail.

Edit: And casting someone like Glover (and/or using Morales instead of Parker) actually makes sense, now that I think about it.

What other names have been thrown around for Carol?

I feel it's like just an echo chamber of Sackoff with only speculation otherwise. Well, I guess Sackoff counts as speculation too.

I forget if that woman from the History Channel series was just fan wishes or actual rumors.

The situation with Carol is weird, because (Avengers 2 spoilers)
she' supposedly was in the most recent version of the script. Which means by now Carol must have already been cast and filmed her part. Now Sackoff filmed a short 3 day part for a mystery project earlier this year, but she denied it had anything to do with Captain Marvel. But if she really is Carol, what is she supposed to say? "Hey you guys figured it out, I'm playing Captain Marvel!" Marvel obviously wants to keep Carol's involvement a secret for now, but if Captain Marvel is going to be a Phase 3 film, I wouldn't be surprised to hear about the casting for Carol tomorrow since she MUST have already been cast.

The main source for that is Devin Faraci, AFAIK (correct me if I'm wrong), and as of a few weeks ago, he was still saying that that scene hadn't been filmed and the lineup wasn't set in stone.

It's a good compromise. Whatever the outcome, I want Drew Goddard's Sinister Six to endure.

I like Emily blunt.

But yeah, you don't have a sign up for a live blog event at the el Capitan just to announce Cumberbatch

Yes. Emily Blunt is the best choice.

I've only heard her and Strahovski mentioned but it's all fan wishlist stuff afaik. There was also the fact that Emily Blunt still wants to work with Marvel despite not getting previous roles for different reasons.

I don't mind Garfield. I'm not sure if I want Garfield or Morales to start specifically in MCU though.

But yeah, I expect this is going to be a joint-production.

But see, I only see that as a compromise Fox would make. Marvel wouldn't let that happen unless they have full control and can eliminate the risk of Fox devaluing the property with their own projects. Been saying this for a while but the MCU doesn't need Spider-Man, and unless they have full control they can just build up another property to those heights without the baggage and risk.

Have any actors straight up lied about involvement before?

I think the most awesome thing would be
Captain Marvel and Black Panther showing up unannounced in Avengers 2
. No marketing, no teases, withholding casting in case they announce the standalone films, everything. I think this also fits in with the idea that the core Avengers roster will change by the end of Age of Ultron. I think people are expecting that to be a thing during Avengers 3 but it's been mention that it will happen by the end of the film in THIS movie, which leads me to believe we will get some early initiations.

I actually like Andrew Garfield
The best part of Garfield's Spider-Man is when he has a mask on, so I don't mind him being recast.

Are they really going to have a character with the last name of the company? It's fine for a comic book, but a little silly for a feature film. Captain or Ms Marvel sound ridiculous.
