PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

So how do I activate my 14 day trial? I tried on my PS3 and all I get is add to cart and price list.

I do have access to it since I haven't used it.

**

Damnit it is cause..I live in Taiwan now?

I'm a bad person who is more eagerly waiting for this game than TiTS SC.

Oh btw, Non-PSN store related:
My NA (R1) account was compromised today. I can no longer access it. You can remove me from your friends list for now while I contact Sony for this problem. Kindly ignore weird messages / all messages from this account from the mean time.

I don't see how that makes you a bad person...

Ugh, two more shitty Broken Sword puzzles. I really hate this game.

It's an optional app you have to download from the store. It's out in Japan.

They put so much useless stuff on the Vita, why stop with Live from Playstation, which is actually quite nice?

Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment (PSP - 2013)
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment (PS Vita - 2014)
Sword Art Online: Lost Song (PS Vita/PS3 - 2015)

Ahaha! I don't mind this one bit, if Lost Song is anything like Hollow Fragment, I will be losing a lot of hours to it.

Best surprise of the year for me thus far, and since I don't have anymore releases that I am unsure about this year, SAO takes the crown.

Playing SAO:HF is really like playing 2 games at the same time(like it really is after all), i'm near the end in both Aincrad and the Hollow Area(i guess) but damn i just played with dual swords, did very few implements and nothing about alternative costumes... There's really so much to do!

I don't think SAO:LS will be the same, imo it will just have levels(more than in SAO:HF) OR an area(bigger than the hollow area), not both like in SAO:HF.

If anything, SAO will hurt Estival Versus.

My thoughts as well. Someone on the Shinovi Versus OT wrote that being released on the 3DS wasn't the only reason why SK2 bombed in Japan. Apparently players weren't that happy with the direction the game took, so Estival Versus may not be able to sell the same numbers as Shinovi Versus.

As popular as SK is I don't think it'll beat SAO in Japan. But it will be interesting to watch the numbers, that's for sure.

I LOL'd. People took the joke seriously.

If you're using the 3DS as the basis, then that's a rather shakey foundation.

Thanks for letting me feel old now. ;_;

How old are you?

Any additional Vita titles now supported on PSTV after the firmware upgrade?

Vita titles are getting "whitelisted" without any previous warning, without being through patches or firmware updates. You'll have to check them yourself every day or every week, or ask if someone could check it for you.

I fear that Estival Versus won't do nearly how much people think it will. Still, it'll probably do better than SK2.

I put over 100hrs into the game since the Asian release and every time I play I am trying something new, I fell in love with the gameplay mechanics. If ALO keeps the "timed skill based combat" just like HF, with a few tweaks here and there, I'm all in.

The "I Can't Believe It's Not Way Of The Samurai" duo of games launch on January 29th in Japan. The Vita game costs 5800 yen, while the PS3 one costs 2000 yen more.

Dunno why Spike Chunsoft are doing simul-launches for two different games.

Of course it's difficult to make any predictions based on the 3DS but the platform can't be the only reason why SK2 didn't even manage to reach SK1 numbers on the same platform.

How old are you?

I am 25.

Yeah, it will do better than SK2 but better than SV? We'll have to wait and see.

Oh boy.

Anywho, I might pick up those 3 Fatal Frames before the sale ends. Decisions.

Million Destroyer, the Vita Idea Factory Not-Disgaea game made by former NIS peeps has unsurprisingly been delayed to 2015.

It'd actually be very bad if any Senran Kagura game does worse than SK2. IIRC, it's the lowest in the series.

If the series is truly in decline, I wouldn't be surprised if it could do less.

You're not old. Also, I'd think that it'll do better than SK2 but worse than SV.

Demon Gaze, Toukiden and both Danganronpas would probably have a shot at it.

Demon Gaze is my GOTY for the time being.

Hmmm, both DRs for sure, Demon Gaze and SAO for me. If I were to pick one from these it'd be SAO. The amount of time and effort that I sunk into it is something that I didn't think I had in me anymore for games. In a way you could almost say that it reignited my gamer flame aha.

The problem with SK is they have just been releasing way way too many games and people will and are getting burned out.

Guess there's only so much Life and Hometown one can get (LOL). The games are fun, but I don't find them to be amazing or anything like many others here, the series certainly isn't the next coming of Jesus. That coupled with back to back releases with split audiences doesn't help either.

It's a bit weird how some of the commonly appraised vita-gaf games this year (Toukiden, Demon Gaze, SAO) were all so lukewarmly reviewed (high sixties, low seventies metacritic).

Is it just the EU that got Ys: Memories of Celceta earlier this year? It's probably my GOTY so far.

Demon Gaze I really enjoyed, but the fanservice, although taking up a miniscule amount of the running time, just felt totally unnecessary and out of place considering it has zero appearance in the 99% of the time when you are adventuring. Still an awesome dungeon crawler though.

So it looks like the PlayStation Store design in EU has been updated to be more in line with the US design. I like!

EDIT: Ok, I dun goofed. I wasn't logged and even though I selected the German start in the beginning I have been redirected to the US store anyway. My bad.

Still can't access my PS+ trial >.<

Would a VPN work? (I don't have one) or a friend log into my account?

Don't you have to fill in your CC info? I know that if you want to use the PS+ trial in Europe, you have to fill in your CC info to activate the trial :/.

Also, the PS+ trial only works for PSN users who never tried/paid for PS+ :/(Just saying because I don't know if you were a PS+ member :/).
