It's not like there's much character continuity anyway.Every film requires hand-waving why The Avengers don't show up. Friggin' President is kidnapped in Iron Man 3, and no-one except for Tony gives a shit. Not to mention how "The Mandarin" has people infiltrating the Government at the same time as Hydra does.

You can easily have Spider-Man there all along,and it'd fit.
