Looks like a new update for Pokémon and Y is available. It's ver 1.3, and it requires 320 blocks (42MB).

Unfortunately, no changelog is available, other than the usual 'stability fix' stuff and some bug fixes.

Edit: forgot to mention you need to download this udpate if you want to use onlinee features, as usual.

If they didn't fix this in the OR/AS demo, no way in hell they were going to do so in X/Y, unfortunately. That'd be quite the update to fix that anyway.

By the way, should've mentionned you need to apply this update before using online features.

Past updates:

Update 1.1 fixed crashing when saving in certain areas in Lumiose City, as well as errors when searching on GTS.

Update 1.2 encrypted the data being sent to and from the game (breaking InstaCheck and other related things), and fixed some other things.

Edit: Size of patch requires 320 blocks (40.96 MB). I have 1.2 already, so I'm not sure if it differs based on that.

I noticed in the X/Y thread some people were encountering an unusual bug with the Diance codes. Diance should be guarantied to have 3 perfect IVs yet theirs were coming out as completely random IVs instead.

Perhaps this fixes that?

This is why patch notes are not a sin. Fucking Nintendo/Gamefreak/The Pokemon Company, making the fans do the patch notes.

I wish. Mine doesn't even have a single perfect IV. Probably some extra check to avoid moving too many hacked Pokemon into ORAS.

Following the release of the Version 1.3 patch last night, one of the small features that have been added has been confirmed. In addition to various bugfixes, the patch now adds various special animations for when PokéBalls open on trying to capture a Pokémon or sending one in battle. Previously, only the Dream Balls and Cherish Balls had separate animations, but now all except the Apricorn Balls appear to have new animations.

So far, from what we can see, yes.

For example, it fixed the glitch that prevented Vivillon from appearing in the Friend Safari menu.

Just been made aware that these animations were in X & Y originally, but they weren't when you sent out your first Pokémon. My apologies for confusion.

Still, they fixed that.

Yeah, I've had thousands of battles and didn't notice other than with Cherish and Dream Balls.

Seems so many people didn't realise too. This fix seems to be making things clear.

I am truly sorry for the mistake though.
