PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

Are these programs really so inflexible? Did they not just license an already made system? would there not be a latin language bank to license? Honestly I don't understand how these things work very well, but it doesn't seem like it would be hugely expensive to "localize"
Some names in other languages might be too difficult for the engine to pronounce, which would kind of suck for people with those names. For the taunts, you had to murder the spelling of some English words so that it would sound like what you wanted it to.

Edit: Top of the page, buy Freedom Wars and get some koukening done.

Wait... you thought this was the reason rather than just a generally cheap localization job? With respect, you kinda set yourself up for disappointment :\

I agree they should have left it in, but still.

Yeah I guess I did made a pretty dumb assumption after all.

I'm still going to buy the game, just not now, it has been downgraded from "day one purchase" to "wait for a sale".

P3P is such a pain in the ass to get through. I don't know how anyone could like it more than P4G. The only thing it has going for it over P4G is FemMC but even then I'd rather play P4G over it

Yeah, I'm glad I finished the game before starting P4G. Still think it's an excellent game though. Great characters and dialogue.

rip miku unity games on psm
she's been replaced with unity-chan and more stolen fan art for icons (yoko from gurren lagan is that you??)

Should end by the end of tonight. Whether that is 12 EST or PST I have no idea.

Dracula X. You get a better version of SOTN included.

Was gonna ask this. After thinking about it, I guess Dracula X is a better value since you technically get 2 (or is it 3?) games. But I think some things were changed in the version of SOTN that's found within Dracula X Chronicles, if I recall.

Thank you all for the responses.

This has probably already been discussed but there's a new update [3.35] for Vita and Vita TV

Patch notes are interesting

New for 3.35:

(PS4™ Link)
  • A maximum of 4 people can now be logged in at the same time to use remote play on the PS TV system.
  • You can now adjust the video quality for remote play on the PS TV system according to your network environment. Select (PS4 Link) > [Start] > (Options) > [Settings] > [Video Quality for Remote Play]. If remote play is not working properly, you can try selecting [Standard] to help improve the quality.

Unfortunately not an option on Vita systems themselves :\

I'd be curious to know what options that video quality for remote play section has on the Vita TV/PS TV

Portable is the weakest version of the game. Only good thing about that is FemMC, which arguably is a pretty big plus, but the missing cutscenes and reduced overworld really bring down the overall great atmosphere of the game. P3FES is the way to go.

But I can understand not being able to go back after P4. While the system improvements seem minimal at first, they get more important with playtime and in an 80h game, every feature smoothing the experience counts. The lighter tone and better chemistry of the playable characters also help. I still have a bigger emotional attachement to 3, but certainly think that 4 is the better game. And Golden is one of the best games ever made for any system.

did something happen? :(

I lost control of my finances for two months in a row,
a.k.a. I'm screwed.

Look at the bright side, You now have time to play all your previously bought games.

Maybe that'll give me a reason to go back to a few games and finish them, sure, but I was really, really excited for Shinovi Versus and Freedom Wars.

I asked this is a different thread, but like most other smart devices, could I charge my Japanese Vita 2000 with the same USB chargers I use for the rest of my devices, like phone, tablet and other handhelds? Too chicken to try it on my own :/

I have not played enough Freedom Wars yet to really say anything , but Missing SV is painful. I hope you get your stuff back in order or some kind GAF soul with a little extra in dey pocket sees fit to hook you up. (I wish it was me right now, but unfortunately it ain't :( )

I enjoy P3P far more than P4G. I've finished P3P several times(and I will replay it again) while I don't think I want to ever replay 4.

I wouldnt suggest it.

Don't play Dekamori before you play Shinovi Versus.

Oh damn, that's right. I guess I'm not getting anything in November then, not even as a late birthday gift.

I know, it's painful, but that's the way it is. More time to play my old games, I guess.

I'm using my phone charger on my Vita 2000 always. Although the chargers are of the same voltage and output (5V/1500ma). Probably make sure they are of similar voltage and outputs and it should be ok.

Reckon the Freedom Wars network pass being free is a pricing error or do they expect you to download it separately?

Edit: Or was it always supposed to be a formality?

Guys I have a serious problem, I just tweeted about it and everything. I bought Freedom Wars yesterday. The game is a ton of fun! Now the problem is that this is not the first time it happens, as much as I like a game, I just can't seem to take Destiny off my mind.

I'm being serious here, I have limited time to play because of school, work, and obviously my personal life, so I can't split my time to play two, three games in one day.

Has this or is this happening to any of you guys here? I'd love to hear your input. What should I do. I know, Destiny isn't a remarkably amazing game, it's repetitive, but I still keep on wanting to go back every night. At the same time I want to experience new stuff, and get my money's worth out of my recent purchase.

What to do PSNGaf?!

Follow your heart. I followed mine back in June, when I poured over 75 hours on Mind=Zero even though the game is... What it is.

hang in there guys - email tagged
it's insane.. it's hard to keep myself from not over-spending and finish my games. it doesn't help when it is spread over like 3-4 platforms and services too. it is like there's this meta-game of collecting and the thrill of buying a new game. but oh well - we'll learn and manage - step by step. really need to learn how to manage as well. thanks for talking about this and sharing. it helps (:

Living and learning. Facing the situation and accepting that you need to do something about it is a great first step.

This might sound harsh but stop being wishy-washy and stop playing the game. Action speak louder than words so stopping to play the game is like kicking a bad habit. That's how I've stopped playing Ragnarok Online, Farmville and Flappy Bird. And also SAO.

I wasted six years of my fucking life.
At least I found my <3 there.

Glad I got it on UMD. EU PSN is the biggest of messes.

Yeah, I accidentally found a UMD of this when tidying the other day. And lots of other gems, too. I had no idea I had so many PSP games. Now I need to charge a PSP.

Don't play Dekamori before you play Shinovi Versus.

Why? Spoilers? Dammit - I just motored through Burst so I could play SV without fear and at leisure. Am I doing it wrong?

This. The latest patch removed the need for online pass. It was there for purchase for people that got the game before said patch. They should remove it from the store sometime.

the newest patch removes the need for an online pass, the online pass is only free just incase the patch didn't make it intime because there's no piece of paper in the case with the code on
