Time to post these again:

[Oliver turns around to face Tommy]

Tommy Merlyn: Are his methods supernatural?

Oliver Queen: [to Tommy] Or cheap parlor tricks to conceal your true identity, "Ra's"?

Tommy Merlyn: Surely, a man who spends his nights scrambling over the rooftops of Starling wouldn't begrudge me dual identities?

Season 4 finale...

Oliver... Isn't it beautiful? It's almost tragic. When life ends, it gives off a final lingering aroma. Light is but a farewell gift from the darkness to those on their way to die. I've been waiting, Oliver, for a long time. Waiting for your birth, your growth, and the finality of today.

I raised you, and loved you, I've given you weapons, taught you techniques, endowed you with knowledge. There's nothing more for me to give you. All that's left for you to take is my life.

One must die and one must live. No victory, no defeat. The survivor will carry on the fight. It is our destiny... The one who survives will inherit the title of Ra's al Ghul. And the one who inherits the title of Ra's al Ghul will face an existence of endless battle, to save this corrupt world. I'll give you ten minutes. In ten minutes, drones will come and bomb the hell out of this place. If you can beat me in less than ten minutes, you'll be able to escape in time.

Let's make this the best ten minutes of our life.

DAMN IT NTGYK, you're getting hyped for no damn reason. I want Bullshit like this.

Nothing makes sense in Arrow, it's a show about flips and swag
Alright. When Yao Fei turns out to be Ra's, I recreate at least three of Roys stunts to the best of my fatass abilities (europaen fatass, not american fatass). With all the flips and swag I can get together.

It's so weird that Diggle goes out with no disguise or costume whatsoever, especially when he went out with Oliver, Roy and Nyssa all of whom are in masks and everything.

I'm officially #TeamLaurel

She knows what needs to be done with Malcolm Merlyn. He was responsible (along with Mama Milf in her own way) for the death of the 502 along with Tommy! How can he not get all angry over that and want to kill him. Because he'll team up with Ollie and the gang to take down Ras. Nyssa and Laurel should team up and take him on!

Roy and his flip is just...so amazing? I had to rewind that just to make sure I wasn't imaging him doing that awful-no-purpose flip. And his outfit, its so ugly makes him look like he got out of an S&M club.

I like how Felicity goes to Central City in this week's The Flash and is missing in most of this week's Arrow. Nice to see them do this. "What did I miss?"

I am a fan of how they are fleshing out the League of Assassins. I am also a fan of how they are making Thea insanely hotter with every episode this season.

Just watched the episode. Holy crap, it had everything: League of Assassins, Battle Royal Arrow Duel, Oliver deception, Thea deception, Roy flips, awkward Felicity, great one liner by Diggle, and a big old twisty character reveal at the end.

Overall, it was an awesome excellent episode. I rate it 3 Roy Flips.

Can't wait for next week!

Oh yeah, I got so caught up in the flip business, I forgot to say that Roy looked straight up demonic in his Red Arrow mask. I don't know if it's makeup, lighting or his eyes just being bigger than Ollie's, but they looked like they were going to fall out of his head.

Also, let's change the title to Welcome to the Flip Age.

I'm one of the few people who's glad they didn't drag out Thea's "I HATE YOU MALCOLM" shit.

Actually refreshing. "Thanks, Dad."

I think everyone's grateful for that. Drama has a shelf life, and if you push it the story begins to grate very quickly. See: Smallville's secret identity hullaballoo.

Just watch the show introduce a mysterious Red Hood character this season. Everyone assumes it is Jason Todd, but instead he removes the mask in front of Oliver and reveals himself as Tommy before saying "Welcome to the new age, Oliver."

Decent episode, but the season is feeling way bloated. I prefer last season's fast paced in comparison to this season, which feels more like a drag e.g. Sara's killer, Laurel's arc, Captain Lance finding out about Sara's death, and Thea's lies. Also while some of the choreograph is ambitious and daring, the fights just look to do too much and some of them come off as cheap and clusterfuck. Also, really not feeling the flashbacks, it feels like the longer the series goes the more the show is about #itsallconnected. I didn't feel it was necessary to tie the island back to Waller.

I also don't like the way Oliver's base of operation is now more like a hang out people - characters just walk in and out and try to tell Oliver what to do. Ok, I really don't like it when Laurel or Roy interject. I feel like both of the characters haven't earned the right to be that involved, especially Laurel, she comes off as just nagging. And now Diggle is just reduced to having a few lines. I like it much better when it was just Oliver, Diggle, and Felicity, and they were focused on their mission.

I am also curious to see Laurel's transformation, if it happens this season. Right now it's way too early but simply having training for boxing lessons doesn't make her an effective crime fighter...when the baseline is already established with Oliver's training, Sara's involvement with the League, and Diggle's army background.

Ra's is completely underwhelming. The appearance was short but I did not get the Bane scary vibe that the producers were aiming for in the casting. Ra's looked more like a guy in a costume than someone that needs to be desperately feared.

That being said, the pluses:

- Oliver standing his ground on the no-kill rule.
- The three way fight. Ambitious.
- Return of Nyssa, though I thought she would kick Malcolm's ass.
- The flashback of showing Oliver continuing to go down to a dark path.
- Barrowman was excellent.

That Roy flip had to be intentional. Like, for serious. Also, that crowd scene was silly, I'm pretty sure Malcolm is still "dead" in most Starling City citizens' minds. Scene concept trumping sense there IMO.

Laurel is my fav this season.

We still saw Merlyn at his office or home or something. Wouldn't it have been repossessed after he was declared dead?

It makese sense in a way that people didn't recognise him. In everyone's minds, he's dead and they are still getting over Slade Wilson and his shenanigans. Swag Meryln is the last thing that would be on their minds and even if someone did recognise him, they'd just brush it off as someone who looks like him, because, y'know, he's dead.

We still saw Merlyn at his office or home or something. Wouldn't it have been repossessed after he was declared dead?

His connects saw to it that they weren't?

And how is there still not a gif of his smirk after Ollie shoots him?

I pretty much agree with everything you said especially the bolded. I mean who the hell is Laurel to just walk in and tell Oliver how he should handle his missions? Did they give her a key or pass code or something cause even though she knows who he is she shouldn't have such access like that, reminds me of smallville when people constantly walked into Lex's mansion blaming him for shit he didn't do most of the time. But I disagree about Roy he is a full fledged part of the team who puts his life on the line and has a right to voice his opinions.

Anyone find it weird that theres four vigilantes searching for a guy at the temple and three of them have elaborate costumes and the fourth is wearing a leather jacket and jeans? Couldn't he have just worn an old arrow costume or something?
