Peacemaker Season 2 |OT| In what world is he the hero?

My point is that is a ridiculously convoluted way to kill someone that also contradicts his character, why find a new dimension, kill dozens in his team, convince officials to put metahumans in it when previously he disagreed with such tactics and all that to slowly kill someone when he obviously has the means to do it himself if he doesn't care about what's legal anymore? It's funny you mentioned losing his cool in the second paragraph because he "almost beat him to death" when he was pretending to be unhinged just to do his job and find out when he was keeping the device, but now he's actually unhinged
I agree, it's 100% obsessed and unhinged, which matches how he feels about Peacemaker that he would be willing to go that far. It's why him 'pretending' when he nearly beat Chris to death was BS all along. That was not pretending, he just got caught. Chris was going to go back to the device anyway. Flag Sr. did that for himself. This last episode proved that.

Binged watched this and from reading the replies in this thread it was the best way to do it. I saw Episode 8 more as an epilogue to the season setting up the plots for the next season.

REALLY glad I stayed away from any news of the show during the run though, the Nazi world stuff wasn't a big shock but the way White Dragon was killed was a fucking smack in the face and my misses actually shouted out NO at that part. I really liked this season, I dunno I guess James Gunn's direction for this DCU stuff is on my level, it's just the right amount of comic book cheesy but doesn't feel sanitised like Marvel stuff, the whole point of this season from what I noticed was Chris dealing with his demons and rejection, him exploring a universe where he's a living legend and where his father and brother are still alive and then the consequences of that and him running from his past.

As for the "build up" of the boat, I thought that was pretty obvious it wasn't some big chaotic event so it being revealed it's where they kissed and her having a bad reaction to it was the emotional trigger for his actions.

Rick Flag Sr and the Government plot is bat shit crazy, was cool to see Lex again though and oddly enough it being connected with Superman with reusing the control center props and set, etc, I don't know why but that worked in making it feel like a connected universe compared to recent Marvel outings.

Soundtrack was full of bangers, that's one area you either like or hate when it comes to Gunn's stuff, but that ending of episode 4 with this playing was hype
