Our lord and savior Miguel Ross lost to a Dee Jay at EVO. And I don't know about Ultra(haven't really played it except against a friend who mains Bison) but if you're letting Honda correctly space his jump so that jumping MP becomes relevant(and you have no charge), you're doing it wrong. Dee Jay dictates everything in that matchup and it's his game to lose.
Nah, the matchup would definitely seem to be in DJ's favour.. maybe 5.5 in Deejay's favour.. no more no less. Personally I'd still say 5/5. I've went into training mode for quite a while before this one tournament and practiced Anti airing Honda with Deejay vs his j.MP.. risk reward isn't there when I don't have charge

I haven't really played much Ultra. I honestly forgot RF exists. The Delayed Wakeup change + the fact that I don't how to approach Deejay on wakeup is what's killing me.

Just start a crouching blockstring, he can't do anything unless he has ultra stocked. Also, you can safe jump his EX jackknife. Just don't try to cross him up or go for any non-safe-jump setups.

I'm just saying that Deejay probably worked twice as hard to be where he is because of Guile's privilege. Deejay probably couldn't even afford charge character college. Even the capcops discriminate against him.

I wouldn't hire him, but I'd feel bad about it afterwards.
 
GGPO-NG feels more like Supercade right now. Pretty delayed. Plus it STILL uses that ancient shitty version of FBA that GGPO uses.

I member last time I played blackule i had his deejay down to a pixel and I had like 25% health in round 3, I get the knockdown and go to low meaty him and I get wakeup ultra'ed....shit STILL haunts me to this day.
 
Every single SJ setup I have tried has failed miserably. It must be the connection.

Still can't believe so many people entered with T7 announced, but I guess Japan doesn't quit games prematurely like people in the states.
Isn't T7 hype part of why they got so many entrants? It's like TTT2's send off tourney, those always get slightly higher nunbers than usual, even in the US. Just not in the anime scene, mainly because they get, like, 5 new games/updates a year.

Managed to get my ass handed to me in vampire savior so I think it's great. No one I know uses this so I don't think I'll be picking this up anytime soon though

Nah man, like I said if he's already in the iar and you have no charge you're playing it wrong... you should always have a projectile out there(unless Honda has ultra 1 and charge) and you have to be anticipating his jumps. You don't have to wait for him to be on you, you can air to air him with jumping fierce and beat his late jumping MP. Honda then has to guess if you're going to go air to air with him(in which case he'll go for an early jumping LP/MP/HP/HK) or if you'll try to anti air from the ground(in which case he has to go for regular jumping MP). And you can ALWAYS focus backdash the jumping MP because in order for it to hit late it has to be done a bit early and that means focus bait. So the guessing game is in Dee Jay's favor. Honda has to go forwards so that means no charge and only hands/oicho as special moves and if he has no charge he has to guess if Dee Jay is jumping forwards and using his knee or going for a regular jump to try to anti air him. And if Dee Jay gets a knockdown, his crossup safe jumps are tricky to autocorrect.

That happened to me too, he doesn't post as often (forgot his name, its been forever since we've played) but he was playing Sagat against my Gief and had the nerve to wake up ultra on me (it wasn't marz, he has a lot more patience than that and bodied me last time...) in the corner... I was honestly shocked at how someone would even think to do that, I will admit it though, I was in his head big time.
