Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare PC Performance Thread

I'm kinda surprised that with all the 970 gameplay on youtube, nobody's tried 4k yet. It seems to run well enough at 1080p, at least.

I'd get it on Steam but I'm worried about it being a wasteland :/ how do the other CODs fare on Steam?

I'm not sure if this is me being in Australia however it is definetly a wasteland,Death-Match is the only game mode that I can always find a game.

The rest? Either no games or waiting an eternity to find the minimum amount of players to just start the match.

I remember my last COD game which was Black Ops on midnight launch there were a crap load of people playing and all game modes, either the brand is dying on PC or Ghosts kind of put everyone off.

So I'm running this 91FPS locked at all times, maxed settings@1080P resolution, on the following system:

I7 5820K@4.3GHZ
16GB DDR4@2133MHZ
G1 GTX 970 SLI
Windows 8.1

I do have one problem, stutter and I finally know why, Vram is maxed out, so I get slight stutter which drops my FPS to 86-88 and then back to normal.

Anyone know of a setting which I can disable that will get me in the green as far as Vram goes but not drasticly effect image quality?

I really hope this doesn't become a common trend in new releases. Those cards just came out FFS!

The series has been dying on PC since MW2. Consistently less and less players each year. It will be interesting to see the peak tomorrow on launch day. Also ya ghosts did turn a lot of people off I imagine lol. I still feel burned getting that day 1 =\

Everything maxed, FXAA, 1080p and I have some stutter, sometimes very annoying.
Oh, and in MP I've just crashed. -_-

Seeing people who own a GTX 670, 770 and 780 Ti going with the PS4 version after performance concerns puzzles me. Maybe some people just buy PCs without really knowing much about them at all I guess. It just seems a bit weird to me though.
1: I was worried about the VRAM. I have a 2GB 670, and didnt meet the recommendation.I didnt want stuttering

2: If I think the game is shit, I can take it to trade in! :p

10k sounds pretty low :/ I'll wait to see some statistics, I'd get a PS4 and play this but I'm short on money and it's hard to go back to gamepad for FPS

Well, when CoD has provided shit quality on PC in terms of optimization and community numbers this gen, it should give people a little pause when buying the PC version. If people had issues with Ghosts on powerful rigs, then shouldn't those people be concerned about AW as well?

Anyone else having problems with their sensitivity? The menu slider is a throwaway. Guess I'll have to use the config(fingers crossed it's working properly).

HOLY SHIT is this game smooth on PC.

Everything on max 1080p capped at 60fps on a 770 2GB.
Like, perfectly smooth. Like, so smooth I have not really seen anything runs this smooth in ages.

Definitely better than the shit that was Ghosts

Weird that in a few weeks of pretty poor PC versions that Call of Duty will be one of the standouts (especially when AC:Unity hits next week).

Ya I am running mine at 1440p and its smooth as butter. I am on a 980gtx though.

I'm not looking to defend IW or Ghosts as a game, but it ran well enough (60 fps consistently) on high on my 660ti, and like butter maxed on my 970.

That was about MP, while streaming. :p
Without that, I still have some stutter, not so annoying but still there.

SP is running like peach with 130 FPS of average, 1080p@120Hz, everything maxed, with SMAA Tx2.
Something about the graphics, BTW feels off,
And, fuck, no FoV slider in Campaign. -___-

trying to decide if I should go ps4 or pc. My rig can handle it - 780, 3570 but I HATE kb mouse only play on controller. Titanfall worked well but it took longer to kill someone and not nearly as twitchy. With COD, Im not sure it will work as well. Any thoughts? I think the gfxs might be big enough diff on PC to warrant b/c PS4 will likely be medium settings no?

Tempted to jump in on PC but holding off to see how a 3570k / 2gb 670 handles it.

I have a lesser system (old i7 860 @ 3.3ghz, GTX 570) and so far so good, though I've only played a couple rounds with bots and a pinch of single player. Running with high textures, normal shadows, blur off (personal pref) and AO off. Lowest framerate I've seen so far was 55. It's a solid port as far as my old single-card system is concerned.

Well I absolutely hate the game, just played a couple of rounds and I have never taken such an instant dislike to a CoD ever.

For a start my textures take forever to load, or they don't load properly at all and look muddy. I have to play on high instead of extra or I get dips because of 2GB vRAM, I get 90fps locked on high but it still feels laggy. Oh and I constantly exo dash or whatever it's called by accident. If anyone knows how to fix the game looking like a PS2 game I'd really appreciate it.

I would never only buy a CoD on PC, I have a 780 Ti and I am buying the PC for SP and PS4 for MP, the gap between MP populations will be huge. Many playlists for PC will be literally dead vs PS4.

The fact you are too dumb to read the thread which explains why mutliple times is hilarious.

thanks - only play online for team deathmatch so I don't worry about people being online. Should be a lot of people. I do care about diff in graphics and ability to be competitive if I am using controller for PC keyboard and mouse online.

+What all the other people have said my 280x doesn't use more than 2gb vram, but go ahead and blame it on that if it makes you feel better.

I'm only playing the campaign so far but mouse movement doesn't feel right. It feels super stuttery or like it will jump across the screen while panning on its own. I don't know if it's the game or my mouse is acting up but it's like you slowly move for a headshot and the cursor bounces passed the enemy.

I also had to turn down many settings due to stutter. I'm playing with a i7 4770k @4GHz and a 780Ti
