Gravity Falls, Futurama, and '90s-era Simpsons are my favorite comedic cartoons. With an honorable mention going to Batman: The Brave and the Bold and a begrudging nod to some parts of Family Guy.

As for action toons, I haven't seen nearly as many. A:TLA takes the cake for me from what I have seen, with Gargoyles probably in second. I haven't seen enough of the DCAU to have a solid opinion on that, unfortunately.

Obviously Avatar, Adventure Time is up there too. Sponegbob Seasons 1-3 and the movie (But nothing afterwards...)

Have you seen The Venture Brothers? It's damn good and weird as all hell, but it's up there.

That's another one on my list. :P My brother used to swear by Venture Bros a few years back.
It's good. It's like a sadistic spoof of Johnny Quest that pokes fun at oomic books as well. If you ever see it pay very close attention to how they spoof the fantastic four.

Yeah, it's been a while since I'd seen it so I'm enjoying my re-watch on Toonami.

Oh man, Reboot, good one.

Yeah, Invader Zim was pretty cool and I loved Reboot back then.

There's supposedly a Reboot reboot (pun intended) in the works. There's a comic too that takes over the story after the cliffhanger ending of the show.

invader zim had that "this is so disgusting and out of ordinary that it's hilarious" approach that I loved about it

I guess action show wise, Teen Ttians was probably my favorite up there with ATLA of course

Cool, hopefully it happens, I'd be interested in watching one.

Anybody have any love for Transformers Beast Wars?

Hell yes. Also, somehow I still remember some of that later CG work was pretty amazing for the time.

Beast Machines was just ok though, for the most part.

I never saw Beast Machines. Character designs turned me right off. I love how like half the Gundam Wing cast is in Beast Wars and X-men Evolution.

Hehe yeah, I'll always recognize those VAs thanks to those lol.

I could see that, some of the designs were weird.
Yeah Scott Mcneill had like entire conversations with himself in Beast Wars. Brad Swaile has a humorous story about Mcneill in the sound booth as well. Once I heard Beast Machines wasn't as well written I paid no attention to it. I think that was around the time Fox tried to air The Vision of Escaflowne as well.

Jackie Chan adventures was the shit too

Fuck yeah Jackie Chan adventures, though the later seasons were weird. Beast Wars was good too though in Canada they called it Beasties, because somehow "wars" was too violent.

I remember really liking Escaflowne when I watched it as a kid, but a few years ago I watched the first episode and didn't like it for some reason. I'm going to give it another shot when I have time.

It's good. First episode doesn't even give you the villains which are both pretty awesome. It's got a weird blend of magic girl, mechs and romance, but it's all done pretty well with an excellent steam punk setting and Yoko Kanno soundtrack. It's takes a few to hit it's groove, but I don't regret owning it, still one of my favorites.

Jade was awesome. Actually Jackie, Jade, and Uncle were all a blast together. Will always remember Uncle and his running gag too.

Yeah, I'm glad Bandai was able to eventually get out the uncut DVDs.

Everyone to the left of Suyin could not exist and the show wouldn't be any different for it:

Western action cartoons used to be everywhere, I miss that point in time. I love old school bandai. I sort of wish I got some newer sets from some of their old shows because their DVD's have so much crap in the beginning you can't skip. Like how in my Gundam Wing set there's the old Toonami promo for their model line I think. It's good for nostalgia but bad for impatience. Better to own it than not own it though. Now Sunrise releases nothing.
