WWE 2K15 First Footage and Gameplay changes

Yeah...they should have delayed the game until next year like originally planned. I swear this whole fiasco looking like Vince Mcmahon having Brock Lesnar put a 2K producer in a full nelson demanding the game come out this year...half assed and all.

Fixed that for you. :)

Well, they have access to GIMP.

I remember that thinking "WTF" for him selling that. So stupid...

Yeah, they've got that whole VC branding for microtransactions too. Pretty sure they mentioned they're not in this year in passing. Probably one of the great features of 2k16.

I hope current gen version gets the same score so Yukes can finally die and go to hell where they belong

Bruh.....

I can feel the hatred coming through my monitor. LOL..but seriously. I wish Yukes would go away. I've read a couple reviews of the last gen copy and it was pretty pathetic.

Didn't see it posted, the Gamespot 360/PS3 review is up

A well deserved 4/10

While the combat system may be the same as it's been in years past, it is remarkably less consistent. Basic actions like dragging your opponent on the mat cause your superstar to wander back and forth before finally settling on which part of your opponent he wants to grab. Spatial recognition for ground finishers is more finicky than ever, and there is little logic to when you can and can not activate a finishing or signature move. Computer opponents occasionally stand stock still if you're caught in the corner or in an awkward place on the ground, as if they've forgotten how to attack. And countering relies on nearly magical intuition.

The character models in the last-gen versions are a wreck. Paul Heyman looks like a low-res, bloated Steven Seagal; John Cena's eyes look like they're about to burst out of his head; and Shawn Michaels looks like he wandered in out of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Some superstars look fine (Big E, Rusev, Seth Rollins), but I would be unable to guess who most were at first glance, were it not for their ring gear. The game also suffers from a series of audiovisual bugs including but not limited to: delayed and/or non-existent sound on mat collisions, non-existent lip-syncing, wonky shadows if the ring is hit too hard, clipping through the ropes, repeated dialogue by the commentary team during pre-match introductions, and a host of other issues.

Right on point. After playing the PS3 version I felt exactly the same.

Bunch of communists don't allow free speech. I bet your favorite wrestler is Rusev.
Being a big wrestling fan at some point and just basically watching ppv's now I find this comment funny lol

On another hand even when I stoopped watching wwe I would still grab the games because had a blast making my self in game and playing it that said my last wwe game was 08 I believe really hope the next/current gen game is something good I would enjoy o get into it again the fun of making your guy go online putting people tru cages over the cell
Tlc

Well hope now that 2K toke over things will get better ..

Any one here have any good videos about the next gen like features creat wrestler so on of the next/current gen not PS3/350

No. They've released 2 videos that aren't just entrances. That one for the texture import and one which shows "gameplay" (a couple of moves).

Still really enjoyed 2k14 despite all the glitches. Actually, I never experience a lot of the glitches in WWE Yukes games. My primary issue is always the gameplay itself. Overall, I end up having a lot of fun with the creation tools. Unfortunately, that's the big problem with 2k15 this year.

I've played online mostly, so the glitches and creation tools were part of the charm.

I haven't really experienced many glitches with 2K14, just a few collision detection issues here and there. Nothing too major. I even think the grappling system is fine, they just need to change the reversal system significantly.

They've not given me any reason to suggest they're trying in 3 years at the very least. Thought they were in a holding pattern for ages trying to get a new engine going, then they release it in SD v Raw 2011 and the same bugs are still present from that game. It's insane.

It was 12 where they "changed the engine". Coincidentally, it was also by far the buggiest one in the series up til that point.

Playing online with friends is fun. Playing online with randoms is a horrible experience. most of them just seem to run-grapple and hope that the lag messes with your reversal timing.

Nah, it was 2011. I remember because after they changed the name to WWE from SD v Raw, I was left wondering why they didn't do both at the same time.

That's why the heavy stamina change they're doing is critical. It could be great if it is implemented properly.

same here. 2k14 was damn near perfect despite some issues. A huge improvement over WWE13 and the glitchfest WWE12.

I wonder if I'll be able to create the World Action Heavyweight Action Action Championship in 2k15 or if Cole will tell everyone goodnight after every match of a show in story mode.

WWE '12 was the switch over to the "Predator Engine."

SvR 2011 introduced the weapon physics but they didn't market that as a new engine.

When you have the same glitches in every damn game and they aren't fixed, that is the definition of not trying. 2k14 still had horrible gameplay, but the Wrestlemania mode and legends somewhat made up for it. 15 has a horrible legends list and nothing as cool as Wrestlemania mode.

I actually think create a story mode had more glitches in 2k14 than in '13.

Was it 14 or 13 where the sound in that mode was utterly borked?

'13 was the one with the dead crowds. 2k14 wasn't much better though. The crowd was just an ambient hum with a few random 1 second spikes in volume. Plus Cole would wish people "goodnight" after every match. I think the "two title belts" glitch was a 2k14 thing as well.

Fair enough. It's odd though, because 2011 was when we got the downgraded models and there was probably more underlying changes in that one than there was in 12. They just really changed some controls around in 12.

I recall the big change with the new engine was that moves were no longer a canned, uninterruptible animation, ie the People's Elbow.

Oh yeah, that fucking change. Probably the most hyped we've been for a change, because Day of Reckoning 2 is brilliant for that. Like someone could have someone up in an AA and the other guy runs in and brogue kicks the fuck out of them. It looks quite brutal.

Do it on this and the guy doing the original move kinda stumbles and just cancels the move. Couldn't believe how they fucked up the interruptable moves.
