I mean some people still use fierce and roundhouse instead of HP and HK
I do this in conversation. It's easier to say "jab" than "light punch". Also less awkward to say. That's just the way I feel.

Similarly, I feel the same about "two A" vs "crouching jab" or "crouching A", but that's just personal preference than any real perceived advantage. I guess you do save yourself, like, a fraction of a second saying one versus the other.

I guess it's fitting that this post was just as useless for info as the thread about it on dustloop

drop a link or something next time, please

Circ and I just woke up and facepalmed super hard. Char reveals always end up with us having to clean up messes when we wake up. I don't have a link, I'm literally putting my pants on for school and don't want to bother looking for one. It'll be up on like SRK soon.

I use to play fighting games on keyboard left for attacks and right for directions (specifically the arrow keys).

If you bother to ask a PC gamer they'd have told you that you play cross-handed on a keyboard.

I played a shitload of fighting games online on Kaillera on PC back in the day. Myself and most dudes I asked used WASD for movement and uio/jkl for attacks. I never met a dude that played fighting games cross handed on keyboard unless they were a super casual or Seth Killian

Nope, not me anyway.

Left hand for attacks and right hand for directions.

I was just kidding. Though now that you brought up Seth, did he ever talk about how he developed his weird grip?

I forgot its 1992 and we are playing dos games.

Those were the days.

what I don't get about VF on PC is that SEGA is like waist deep in PC gaming anyways

Hopefully the time is right

Notation discussion is always the stupidest shit ever. Every game has it's own style and it generally makes sense for the move lists and button layouts.

You have to have a really big stick up your ass to complain about spending 1 minute to adjust to the notation style a game uses, imo.

Did I just read through ~nine pages about notation?
Holy shit wtf.

He's probably playing against the guy getting cheezed.

New VF revision due Spring 2015

Best hope for PC VF fans would be the Sega stuff keeps doing well, and we get a KOFXIII FE type scenario where Sega puts the last revision onto the PC in 2016.

Didn't see anything about changes except to infrastructure/networking (but that may be Google Translator). Any engine/character changes that can be expected?

Better than General Discussion

Edit: take this with a huge grain of salt, but I know y'all will eat this Shit up

The PS4 is getting a "Tournament Support" app (大会支援アプリ) It's an app that can be used to produce a tournament on a smartphone.
One can create a tournament and entries, see what the tournament is and results, and get a notice when it starts.

That is what I read on the leak, might be better info when the issue is released.

Edit: Will have a online Lobby with 64 players.
17 character system voices

Can you give more context? Is it for a specific game? How will it provide lobbies for any game?

Also, sounds very Japan-centric, and definitely not able to handle majors and the like (assuming there were games on the PS4 other than Xrd that would be run at tournaments).

My 2c:
while we don't know the scope of the revision it historically would be less like SSFIV->AE and more like AE->ver2012

it is incredibly unlikely that console versions of FS will be updated with revision B. don't hold your breath. if we ever get this, it'll be on PC.

so here's the good news:
right now, someone is sitting at a computer getting paid by SEGA to work on VF. not pachinko VF, not mobile f2p vf, but real VF. my VF.

there are many sega franchises which aren't so lucky.

PC's the best-case scenario; I kind of expect them to be as risk-adverse as possible and dump the revision on an up-port of some kind for the PS4/XBO. Worst-case scenario would be watching it stay in arcades altogether, IMO.
But yes, it is great that AM2's still being put to use on an main entry in the series.

Aw come on, no one skips leg day like Potemkin does.
Ideal body measurements don't apply to heavy cruisers.

Something to do with Xrd PS4 netplay it looks like. Not something for majors I'd assume, more for online stuff.

Do we even have any figure buyfriends here? :V
She's showing way too much booty and skin for me though, so I'll have to pass. I think I'd rather buy killer queen with the money

I'm one actually. Have a glass case full of questionable decisions orz

I'm one. I have a bunch of figures.

Not a lot of money for them lately though. And that Mu is a bit too much even for my tastes >.>

PS+ in December will have IGAU:UE for PS4. That has all the DLC, right? Or is there still stuff/characters left out?

It won't be until 2016 period. If MKX does well on PC, and especially if Tekken 7 goes to PC and does well, I can see Sega trying- they're more of a PC company than Namco.

But where are all of these people who would buy VF on PC to make it financially feasible for Sega to port it?
Hey, Sega's already porting one 6+ year old game to PC, what's another one? :V Frankly, I think that the arcade update makes the rumored PC version more likely, as the update would have a much lower marginal cost if they already have people poking around the code and assets for a PC version. That and if it's happening, AM2 is probably handling the port themselves, because they're super anal about that stuff. (unless they brought on a team AM2 trusts, like M2 or Sumo Digital).

When I at home during college, my mother would always complain about whenever I bought a figure. The games didn't bother her, she didn't even care about the anime but she always bemoaned how figures were an absolute waste if money. Several years and three cases later... I realize she was right.
