We're going to talk about how awesome it was to see Kuvira kick ass, dude.
I want to see her put Suyin through a wall. Though to be on the real I can see the assassination attempt making her go ballistic. She's never really tried to physically hurt Su. Even during the meeting in the last episode she never really tried to hurt her or even in the hotel room in episode three. They made mean faces at each other yes, but Kuvira never really once tried to intimidate her the way she did with Bolin or the governor in Yi. I can honestly see Kuvira flipping out over it.

I hope Kuvira takes off her mask. And it was Dio the whole time.

Lol they are going to delay it, watch.
I hope not they've already delayed it enough.

I doubt there would be a fight, Suyin's ambush will fail, Kuvira will then be like "See? Avatar, I'm all about reason and peace but Suyin attacked me first!" Then Korra would mutter something and leave.

Ha but yeah i'm kinda expecting that Korra fighting Kuvira will only be done as a distraction tactic whilst Opal and the airbending siblings attempt to evacuate Zaofu before Kuvira takes over it.
Still looking forward to hearing those drums again.

Watch it all be build up again..and then it cuts off when they are about to throw down. Oh my god. I would die. This season has already been slow enough. Bricks will be shat if this happens. Tears will be flowing. The sea of salt will be flowing. High tide baby. Dat ocean sweet sweet ocean of salt.

You're making me hate Kuvira in the same way the Asami fans make me not like her as much.

How can you not like Asami? SMH

Ha you're really lusting for tears and drama aren't you Azula.

What if season 4 ended up sucking?

Sure is possible. Would be a shit way to end the series. Basically, half the show would have been shit. And the ending would have been awful. Would really ruin the Korra legacy. Whereas if this season ends up being great, and they nail the ending, I think it makes the series a little bit easier to look back on. Season 1 being mostly good but flawed. Season 2 being awful, but at least having Origins + a sort of decent second half. Season 3 being close to ATLA levels. And Book 4 being a really good ending an all around season.

It would change perception of the show.

My fear is actually, that the ending is just boring. That this season isn't awful or bad, that it's just kind of vanilla and safe. And the ending doesn't take chances. So we get this limp/dud season where everyone's kind of like "eh". I guess? lol That would be worse than Book 2 bad season IMO

Well, book 2's finale IS amazing.

I'm starting to think Toa is a chat bot and his two conversation topics are "Kuvira is amazing" and "Season 2 finale is amazing" as he installs a virus in the background.

I'm starting to feel that Kuvira is kind of a weak villain. Especially as a final boss/conflict. I really hope I'm wrong and she turns out to be awesome. Even if, just on an entertainment level.

I know this isn't very important to that many people but they are showing episodes of book 3 on Nicktoons weekdays at 8am EST. On Nov 8 they will show the first episode that was web exclusive (The Stakeout Episode). If everything follows they'll show the rest the season as each day passes. So, it looks like Korra is back on tv but not in the capacity some of us hoped for.

ATLA's final villain was the 'always the final threat end boss' villain of Fire Hitler. All Kuvira has done so far is gotten the earth nation under her power. Unless the nuke aspect of the story ends up being a big part and she starts nuking nations and becomes basically Earth Stalin I don't see her being that big of a villain.

I got it. Kuvira will end up not getting Zaofu, and she goes crazy. Some stuff happens after, then come endgame she launches a spirit nuke on all of the Earth kingdom and Korra does some avatar state s*** to stop it.

Thank you for replacing Hitler with Stalin.

She's not Hitler.

I didn't know we were limiting the matter to how he became giant. What do you mean it wasn't stupid/clunky though? I thought is was dumb in Korra and dumb in ATLA.

edit: your avatar change game is too stronk

I wouldn't mind if she threatened to nuke Korra's hometown.

Korra looked really blocky and clunky. Like a big giant rusty robot. Her being a big giant blue spirit and shooting lasers out her chest looked ridiculously stupid. Aang becoming a giant made more sense, as it's design was based on the Water spirit god becoming a big thing from the ocean, which itself was big. Aang was just a vessel within the Water spirit. So it looked IMO a lot better, and how it moved and fought was cooler.

So I don't really think the two situations compare. Korra quite literally became a big fuckin giant Spirit and looked really dumb. I will never get those that liked the Kaiju fight, or thought it was cool. To me, it's probably the worst moment in the entire Avatar world (well, not as bad as the great divide, or Aang throwing away Sokka and Katara's letter). I just mean visually, it was so stupid. It was kind of like, the writers going too far with the spirit/bending stuff.

I agree that Aang big mode made more sense, but his rampage was really boring for me just because it was basically a big giant thrashing on a bunch of small people.

Korra fighting a giant the same size at least gave the fight better choreography and was slightly more fun to watch.

You guys are silly. Korra looked fucking awesome in Giant Spirit Kaiju mode.
Nah. Seeing lots and lots of anime, that just looked silly. It lacked a lot of impact, since the baywater and telling us the size was the only visible indicator of strength and size.
