Yeah idk. Honestly I don't even watch SF4 anymore. Game has stagnated something fierce over here

I've watched Uniel, BB and now Marvel this year and have seen people complaining about all 3.
 
at least there is a wolverine player who knows what he's doing. if i get sponsored for Canada cup ill make it to top 8

pretty situational, players do it all the time but hitstun is too high most of the time to do a regular bnb since they go for the lvl 1 as a combo ender. its old tech.

The thing that depresses me is that EVO's game selection seems to get worse by the year. Soon I'll be watching side tournaments only.

Well I mean about the level of play. Not the general "WHENS MY GAME ON" in stream chat

In BB top 8 two guys who knew each other both just picked ragna. They clashed DPs like 3 or 4 times in one game lol.
 
Good to see precision hit someone else with all his bs set ups, dude's gotten pretty damn scary on the big stage. Think this is his last tourney outside of evos, he's an h2 pro player and MCC is out soon, right? Wouldn't know, Not much for halo myself.

Hoping He cracks top 3 cuz that means I have by proxy :D "said the washed up has been."

Is it top 16 or top 8? I thought it was top 16 too, but the schedule in the OP for CC that obviously no one is using listed it as top 8. I've got to step out in like 20 minutes so if it's top 8 I'll probably miss all of it, if it's top 16 I can probably catch at least the tail end of it.

While we're on the topic, I'm always a little disappointed when the most internationally competitive tournament in the US features so many US only games. You have hundreds(?) of international players coming out to compete in only half the games in the lineup.

It makes me sad to look at a top eight and see the same eight American flags that are in the top eight of every other major for the game. I hope that we don't end up with MKX, Injustice, Marvel, and KI next EVO because that guarantees that about half the games are shoe-ins to be all American top eights.

I know this is a somewhat petty complaint that doesn't have an easy solution, but it saddens me that EVO almost skipped something like Tekken this year because the game supposedly wasn't popular anymore.

Of course it's a bit of a moot point if game inclusions are entirely decided by sponsors now, like with how TTT2 was announced for EVO at exactly the same time as the Bamco sponsorship.
 
As someone who plays American games I don't want my popular, EVO worthy games that our scene supports year round to be missing out just for the sake of arbitrarily having more international high level play. I mean, those games are made in America but are popular worldwide. There's hella foreign MK players, they often pump themselves up too. They either don't travel to EVO or they get bodied. Not our problem.

I only see 3 games with an all-American top 8 though :P
and Smash 4 is probably going to have more diversity than Melee, especially because Leffen got upset one round short of top 8

Evo 2015 adopts 3 ASW games for the first time in the history of the event

So that they can start top 8's a 5AM to get SF4 on at a decent hour

SF4 still puts everyone to sleep anyways

Including internationally diverse games for the sake of having internationally diverse games doesn't help anything. In fact it'd hurt because great games that have a mostly American following will be left out of main game status so we can have some game that has more Brazillian players or something.
 
I'm sad UNIEL got delayed so hard for the states. It's actually a game a lot of people would enjoy.

Simple to get into the basics

Strategic use of it's main tug of war subsystem let's players grow over long periods of time

Attacks and combos are very free flowing

You can feel VERY dominant at times.

Combos while I say around the mid range length, are FAST and flashy.

While it can be very ITS MY TURN NOWish the universal defensive options are there.

All the characters have VERY different toolsets and thrive with different mind sets

It's version of xfactor isn't shit
