A few people have asked me about the ending and I think it was okay. Just okay. Not bad.

What happens after the ending though, is just
one sad revelation.

Sad like a sad moment, or sad like it was something bad / disappointing?

Not only that but EA would probably ask around €69,99,- for the regular edition in comparison to the $59,99,- in the U.S. store.

With the current exchange rates and all I should be paying €48,99,- but no.. I am bloody paying $87,99,- for the regular edition in the EU store.

And then they wonder why people buy online.

XD

Make that 1 week and 90 hours!

I'm sorry

guys the spoilers aren't that bad. He knows to not post blatant end game spoilers a week before the game is out haha.

Killed the final dragon. Really difficult. This is how I end the game. I did everything there is.

Higher Magic and lower Dexterity than I would of guessed for a fighter. (looking at it from the viewpoint of a DA:O or DA2 player)

I could swear I remember someone from Bioware saying the max level is 50 in one of the twitch streams, but that seems entirely off-based, given Dawg's level at completion (presumably sans repopulation-of-area grinding, which doesn't seem feasible given how much xp later levels seem to take)

The veteran origin achievement is for gaining level 20. I thought that would be the maximum level at first.

On the one hand I want to take every single one of those reviews at face value. But the tiny bastard in my mind is just screaming ME3 and DA2 at me. God help me I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, that makes sense, it was the same in DA:O and in DA2 (in regards to the achieve correlation)

On that note, are there any other 'free' ability points other than the human trait?

Kind of curious on how much room I'll have to branch out in the talent trees.

There's a perk that gives you an extra one.

Yep, that's a perk.

While we're at it... make sure to grab the healing potion perk. It increases the cap from 8 to 12 :p

I think I'm gonna play this in normal. Not because I couldn't do hard, I've done hard in DAO and DAII (besides a broken fight or two), but if it really is that long I don't want to spend a lot of time just replaying encounters.

Fuck me. Kotaku's article (11 things you should know about DA:I) cemented my decision, unfortunately, to not get this game right away.

I was going to scrape a knowledge base, or read Wikipedia, to get the gist of the lore in this universe, but after reading that article, I'm going to hold off and find cheap copies of DA1 and DA2 and play those for the first time before I dive into next-gen Dragon Age.

I googled it right away and found the article. I'm glad I did. Thank you.

Inquisition‘s size goes beyond acreage, too: There’s an overwhelming amount of things to do in this game. I’ve seen plenty of people concerned that there are too many busywork “go here and get 10 of these” quests in Inquisition. While those sorts of quests do exist (and seem pretty optional), they’re easily overshadowed by the game’s wide array of more-interesting diversions. Explore this time-frozen battleground, and see if you can find out what happened there. Visit your Inquisition’s war-table to dispatch your forces and unlock new regions, or solve problems for minor characters. Use hand-drawn maps to scour the desert for a hidden Dwarven ruin full of powerful relics. Solve constellation puzzles in each area to triangulate and unlock a treasure room. Go giant-hunting, or challenge and defeat a trio of extremely dangerous dragons. Open a dam and venture into the caves beneath a lake to close an underwater demon rift. Survive the guardians of a hidden Elven ruin and re-forge a legendary sword. And on, and on, and on.

This paragraph.

Edit: So, your're talking about point number 5, right?
Well, it's true unfortunately. Reading them would be sufficient, but you won't probably get that feeling.

First playthrough is gonna be on Normal-difficulty.

Second, "Evil" run will be on higher difficulty.

Can`t wait for this game. Come and shoot your... stuff all over my face already!!!

Mr Dawg-sir!

In the trailer, there is a scene where the Inquisitor judges a person to death and carries out the sentence himself.

Question is: Are there many of those jury-sessions in the game? Give whatever answer you can... I´ll be happy with it. ^^

Edit: Yes, I should have edited the previous message... Don´t kill the noob. :(

Yes, point number 5: "It's not really newcomer friendly". This article is an incredibly satisfying read though. It makes me very excited to "eventually" play Inquisition.

FUCK that paragraph hnngggggggggghhhhhhhh

For people who say reviews don't matter- I canceled my unity pre order and am planning the budget go towards this. All because of reviews and specifically review timing.
Reviews matter when a game reviews well.

They just stop mattering the second a game a person was excited for doesn't review well.

Yea, I'm at least playing Dragon Age 1 first. Got it for free on Origin, so why not?

Sorry for double posting here - I'd edit it into my other post, but the edit function isn't working for me.

Yep, VPN it is. Really looking forward to getting my hands on this game.

Anyone know if Origin have anything in it's ToS against purchasing from other countries? Or will it be enough if I purchase it here in EU and only unlock by VPN?

Never played a DA game but if the framerate is stable 30 (on PS4) I will support their work nad buy my first DA game.
