right?! imo the villians for the first 2 seasons were good, i understood their goals and in a twisted way they weren't wrong. but zaheer and kuvira? generic villains if you ask me.

Zaheer wanted to create chaos because he believes that to be the natural order of the universe and better for people than any kind of system of government. He doesn't really say WHY he thinks that, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's an idiot. It just means we don't know why. There are plenty of real anarchists who also believe that having no governmental structure is something that would allow people to live more freely. I once talked to an anarchist who presented an argument for it (not a convincing one to my ears, but I don't know much about political theory, so *shrug*) so he could think something like that.

But there is no doubt that Zaheer is a shallow villain. Depth was alluded to, but Korra was never allowed to engage with him because he was aggressive towards her any time they met. I don't think Kurvira is better for just wanting power.

They really should have skipped the Original Airbenders episode in favor of fleshing out Zaheer and crew. I already enjoyed season 3 quite a bit, but it would have made up for my biggest gripe with it.

They also said they wanted to take a break in general, and mentioned something new they wanted to try. So I wouldn't completely write off the possibility of a new avatar series happening.

I definitely don't expect one anytime soon though.

Kuvira isn't even the villian this season. The main antagonist is Korras own delusions and fear.

If she had control of herself she'd wreck Kuviras shit. That's not something we were able to say when Korra would face Amon in Season one.

The scene this pic came from, has uneven lighting so the colors were a bitch to mess with. I think it's better though now (more sharp, better colors, outline looks more natural):

Well she's technically the best ever avatar at metalbending. Because Aang in all of his years apparently never got the hang of it.
Plus she's the only the spirit bender now after Unalaq had an incident with Jinora's light.
